Crazy this. The first goal was actually scored with Salah and Firmino inverting their positions. Salah scored from the centre of the box and Firmino assisted from the right.

Is it though? A world-class manager who's spent hours (probably days) analysing their games spots the typical movement of the team? That's not really crazy, it's literally what he's paid to do. Salah scores most of his goals from Firmino either dropping deep or drifting wide, same with Mané. It's hardly a secret. Not to mention Klopp overloads the full-backs every time we play City without fail, to try and keep the ball away from the middle where City are strongest. It's just difficult to stop without sacrificing your own play, and paired with Liverpool's pressing it's almost impossible.

Exactly the same thing happened in the recent 4-0, just in the other direction: Liverpool press well, hit the post early, but then City get the ball central into the box to their narrow wingers and late midfield runners, and they fall apart. Everything Liverpool will have been preparing for, everything City are known for, but they're just helpless to stop it.
I like how Pep is actually thinking while the other guy is clearly underestimating us. That's why Pep is the manager and the other guy sets out the cones.

That’s actually right. Some teams, like city themselves can play with no spaces due to the technical ability of the players and the insane short passing they do. If you manage to limit big spaces against Liverpool, they will suffer.

Having seen the likes of Torres and Suarez in my lifetime, Salah Mane and Firmino for 5 or 6 years were the biggest attacking force this club has seen for decades. It didn't matter that they were 2 or 3 nil down. You always thought Liverpool could outscore the opponent with those 3 up front.
When he says my wing-backs cannot cover theirs, he is not talking about Walker/Zinchenko but sterling/sane. He is saying it is too defensive for them to track back for Trent and Robertson. Salah/Mane are inside forwards, while Sterling/Sane are wing backs glued to the wing until the ball is in the final third (see Pep's Barcelona, Henry describes it best).

Two seasons ago City won the league by the skin of their teeth and last year were blown away. I have to agree with Pep here and not the assistant, Liverpool has given City enormous problems the last 2-3 years.
