Liverpool are one of the best football clubs in the world and no one can deny this.
In this video we will take a look at what footballers and coaches have to say about Anfield.

Erik Ten Hag when asked about Anfield: "For me it's no different. The pitch is the same size everywhere, there are three referees, there's a fourth [official], the ball is round, there is air in the ball, huh?"
His team proceeds to lose 7-0.
He spoke with arrogance and he received his dues
He’s a laughing stock, his whole persona stinks.
Let the history repeat this weekend
@@ellislung3349 realistically we will lose. but saying history will repeat itself is riddiculous
Welp, 0-0
The best thing about this is that Mourinho’s description of Anfield, including “impossible is nothing”, was part of the analysis before the 4-0 win against Barça. So he pretty much called it.
Yeah before that game Klopp said to his players "It's impossible, but because it's you we have a chance", always gives me goosebumps!
Mou has and always be an inspirational guy.
How about mourinho for andield after kloop
When other fans claim that there's nothing special about Anfield, we can show them this video where you have some of the best managers of the last 40 years saying that there is no other stadium in the Premier League like it
Most of them are kids and plastics . Real fans and opponents respect anfield to a whole new level
They just won't ever understand 😂
Unfortunatelly the atmosfere on Anfield has deteriorated over the years. They're talking about what it was like there before when they were playing.
Anfield after you'll never walk alone: 🔇
Arteta playing you’ll never walk alone in Arsenal training says enough. Greatest European nights in England has been at Anfield. I’m a United fan hate Anfield
I've been to Anfield literally countless times and experienced all the range of atmospheres. It can range from awful, to decent, to visceral, intimidating and deafening. For the best atmospheres, it requires the occasion, the really big opposition and the home team to scent blood. The clowns who come on with the 'overrated' crap have simply not experienced this, usually because their team just simply doesn't merit it.
It can get into the heads of the opposition . I recall looking at Man City players in the 2017 (I think) 4-3 and could see them literally looking at each trying to work out what was going on, literal panic. When the home team scent blood and the crowd scents it too, they feed off each other in a feedback loop and amazing feats can happen. Then it is truly magnificent
Hit the nail, there lad. Plus aswell, its used to discredit us cause its one of the many things they're jealous of. Anfield atmosphere? No, its a library. Liverpool the most successful club? Charity shield is a major trophy. 6 champions leagues? Easier format back in the day. YNWA sang all over the world? Celtic sang it first. 19 league titles? Football only started in 1992. And on and on and on.
It just happened again today lol. City gor the yips once we scored and could and should have been a comfortable victory. City will feel they got away with murder today!!!
Best description of it
54 years a fan of LFC, I still get a tear in the eye when the kop sings ynwa, love it.
Thank u sir ,for being Through in those 30 years and never giving up on the club ❤️💐
Goosebumps everytime
There are football stadiums.
And there’s Anfield..
❤
🙄
once it was also Highbury
St. James Park is the best away stadium...... Those Geordies are crazy 😂
💩
mourinho always wished that he had managed liverpool. he wanted anfield and those fans behind him.
Who didn’t? He’s not a special one in that.
@@user-zi9lx2qb5s yes but not many displayed the envy who were actually notable managers.
If in doubt, just make something up and hope it sounds clever.
Special fans that murderd 39 italians and got england banned from europe. Bindippers
He wanted Utd, doubt we ever had the transfer budget for Jose.
I feel a lot of goosebumps watching this. Thank goodness these legends of the speak highly of Anfield.
I have something to show to others who doesn't understand how special ANFIELD is
Coming from a utd fan.. anfield is the only stadium where i feel scared whenever utd face liverpool..
Last night v Luton. Unbelievable. As their manager said "we made them angry"😂😂
I've cried over the fire and passion of the fans at anfield, win or lose, there is nothing like Liverpool passion🔥❤️ YNWA
Anfiled is special
We are Liverpool ❤️❤️. Special people and special ground being Anfield 👍❤️
🔥 Anfield
The fans have a big part to play alot of times go too quiet too quickly.. when they do make the noise around the ground and Liverpool tick. I'd hate to be the visiting team. Liverpool we love you❤YNWA
Being at Anfield in 1986 was the best ever moment of my life watching football game.
When i came back to Greece after that i did not watch football for s hole year and beyond!
Didn't want to.
I felt that i was humiliating the hreat experience i had at Anfield !!!!!
There is not football without Anfield.....
It's true respect when it comes honestly from your piers and rivals!!
Piers Morgan?
Clacton Pier?
Football Heritage
And it is getting even bigger and louder
LFC fan in South Carolina. I can’t wait to go to Anfield someday!
Dues vult
Oh I hope you do you would be made very welcome Liverpool people are great and I'm Scottish but love Liverpool and their Football team and have been to Anfield Stadium loved it
Ynwa lfc forever❤
As a United fan Old Trafford fans have no comparison with Anfield fans and i don't think we'll win after losing 7 - 0 last time, they won against Barcelona in the UCL when being 3 - 0 down on aggregate their fans are excellent even when they're away from home it's more than a Fortress and i can say that United fans at home are not loud enough compared to any other EPL club we concede 1 goal and suddenly the away fans are louder than the home fans Anfield is not an easy place to play while Away
The Power of ANFIELD ..........Home advantage is good for most teams at Anfield we raise is it to another level
Haha when Rio said "when your dad screams you know where he is at" so so true
Depends on the occasion, it can be quiet for the normal games as it’s full of tourists that don’t know the songs and how to get behind the team. Other nights it’s an absolute cauldron, the UCL game vs Man City I’ve never experienced anything like it. From the buses coming in and fans going straight in to the ground an hour early, atmosphere was crazy from the moment they stepped out to warm up until afterwards outside the ground. City couldn’t handle the atmosphere it one bit. Barcelona were the same, the ground got to them.
I love when rival fans say it’s library when in fact it just means your not big enough to matter and never will
Personally my favourite in this video is Fergie and pep they knew and they still knows ❤
I remember the St Ettiene game back in the seventies it,was just out of this world
I'm not saying you weren't there mate, but that game must've had an attendance of around 5 million, with another 3.5 locked outside. A bit like when Cilla Black died there must have been 20 million wools who had their coat hung by her in the cavern
@@seckie1001 I was there mate and I was in Rome in 1977 ,I go very rarely now but back in the seventies I was home and away and Europe , and I have been in the cavern and Mathew street countless times ,I am a big fan of the Beatles
@@raymondsawyer8626 Good on yer, lad. Hardly seems to get a mention now but Ettiene is right up there with the very best comebacks, without doubt. 💯
"Is this a library...?". "Where's your famous atmosphere..?". etc etc etc....🙄
These are people who know what they're talking about. Great vid....👍
When you hear Rio Ferdinand, who hates Liverpool, talk like that about Anfield, you know they're talking through their arses
That's respect 🙏.
There is a spirit at anfield that controls the atmosphere where you like it or not be the best team you will feel the pressure
WE TRULY LOVE OUR CLUB 🔴
Remember 2005 champions league win against Chelsea and 2018 win against Barca. That's Anfield
2019 against Barca. You clearly didn’t remember it yourself 😂
People always say that it’s a myth about the famous atmosphere at anfield but half of it depends on what the occasion is, when it is and how important the game is. When we play someone like a mid table team on a Saturday afternoon then it’s just another game for us, especially if we have played a big game in midweek in the European cup. For them, it’s a huge game against one of the world’s most famous clubs, for us it’s just a game that we’ll probably win even if we don’t play too well. There’s only a handful of domestic games where there is genuine excitement for us such as utd or city or Everton or a couple of the big London clubs…. Other than that, we’re expected to win and there’s no extra excitement partly due to the success in the past and how we have been spoilt by our plethora of historic occasions both domestically and in Europe. But when people try and say that it’s a load of rubbish then all they have to do is look at videos like this and hear what the legends of the game say. Utd, Arsenal, city, Chelsea, both managers and players have all said the same. Players such as Thomas muller from Bayern have said it. Thierry Henry said that the one club he would have liked to have played for is Liverpool… not because he’s a fan but because he would have liked to play at anfield…. Personally I have seen players such as del pierro and cannavaro crumble at anfield. We beat juve in 2005 2-0 when we were nowhere near as good as them but they couldn’t handle the atmosphere at anfield and they froze for the first half an hour by which time they were 2-0 down and the tie was over…. Anfield is legendary all over the world and the spion kop is the most famous football terrace in the entire world too. Other than some other world famous stadiums, such as the bernabeu, the nou camp, maracana, azteca, Wembley, san siro, anfield is right up there with all of them… and is half the capacity too which says an awful lot about how it is perceived…. Saturday afternoon against Bolton wanderers (no offence) is not the same as a big midweek European game so unless you have been there and witnessed that, then you have no idea what you’re talking about!
It reflects the entire city, as does Goodison to be honest. Other English cities just don't have it. And it's not just the footie grounds, it's the whole culture of the place. It really is something else.
So very humbling to hear certain legends speak of Anfield so highly. I mean, you keep hearing how Anfield is this, and Anfield is that, but you don't really appreciate that (or even believe it) until you hear what these guys, say. Unless you're Real Madrid, who can come to Anfield, give you couple of goals head start and than thrash you 2-5. Respect.
Real have been spanked at Anfield before - it’s their fortune that they caught Liverpool in one of their worst seasons.
@@jackfoulkes2047 True.
No booing of opposition players there, supporters just lift their team's spirit and the rest is history.
Although I'm a Liverpool fan and want to agree with the sentiment that we are respectful (and in fairness compared to most other clubs we are, we always clap the opposition Goalkeeper in the Kop when he runs over to take his position of the start of that half for example) I wouldn't say that we do not boo opposition players on occasion. Gary Neville, Wayne Rooney, Raheem Sterling for example can attest to that lol...
You're talking nonsense mate.......I remember when City went there (David Silva days) and it was the anniversary of Hillsborough. Pin drop silence (as it should be) from both sides. Once the game kicked off and whenever City were in possession there were boos all around the stadium. Gotta say it left a bad taste!
@@tomjay9186 left a bad taste? Paying respects to dead people is a common courtesy, it isn't a currency for preferential treatment in return during a sporting contest lad. We also clapped during the 7th minute against United when Ronaldos kid died, I've never heard a single Liverpool fan complain about the booing/anti-Liverpool songs from United fans that day
@@darthpepe2994 Maybe it was just the juxtaposition of the two things that felt a bit weird to me, but it is what it is, or was what it was.........however, at least with both agree that your mate with the original comment was talking nonsense!
@darthpepe2994 well said!
Messi can testify
Mikel knew how bad it was that he had Arsenal train with "you'll never walk alone" being blasted at them through loudspeakers.
I never knew this, it’s so hilarious yet I have to respect Mikel for respecting Anfield that much 😂
And still got beat 4 nil
As a 60 year old Liverpool fan who learned to read reading the football scores to my father, I regret the games become so commercialised. I used to go to Anfield in the 70's and 80's when the crowd was not 'expected' to perform, we reacted to what was going on on the pitch. Some games were awful and the atmosphere reflected that, others were pure energy and the swaying and plunging Kop ensured visiting teams (especially european teams not used to such rabid support) rarely walked away with a point. But they were men on the pitch not overpaid kids, men in the dugout and working men and women in the crowd. Anfield reflected the city of Liverpool, tough, blunt, good sense of humour. Anfield was a snapshot of society. I'm not sure it is today.
And now with Anfield Road end adding 7k more fans!?
Good luck.
I'm from Australia and one of my dreams is to go to Anfield and watch Liverpool play im 30 now so hopefully i can make it over in my lifetime
AnfieldRoad❤ Love it❤
Pep. Mourinho. Wenger. Ferguson. Titans of Premier League management. All saying how special Anfield is, says it all.
Someone show this video to Seven Hag
Waoh! One has to visit someday.
‘Goosebumps’
We dont sing songs about the opposition. We leave that for the opposition to sing about us. You will not find a team that gives individual player support like Liverpool. True there are many fanatical fans out there but Anfield has a way of making each individual player feel special and invincible.
Home sweet home ❤️
Respect to Anfield
The crowd plays every ball with the team ,,,,,,, and you can feel it. ///////////// the Kop sucks the ball into the net.
That is a line dropped by Emlyne Hughes, but he also mentioned the stink of Urine, because the crowd was so crammed in the Kop, so they peed where they stood.
@@thetruthhurts7675 This shows me you or Hughes had never been to the Kop, In the 70s and 80s even in the most packed out games there was always the middle walkway to separate the top from bottom sections . So not sure where you get crammed bit from. Peeing where they stood was them not wanting to miss a moment of the game.
@@marksavage1108 I am only quoting what he said.
@@thetruthhurts7675I was quoting from the video. I dont really care who said it before.
As a utd fan , anfield was always the stadium i felt nervous when united where playing away, unbelievable athomosphere, they are the 12th, 13th and 14th man 👏. Now i get those same feelings when they go to Bournemouth, mk dons and any other bottom half team on the planet
Sad day kloop leaving😢
Ive never ever heard anyone claim that Anfield is over rated. If anything, they claim the opposite. The Anfield crowd isnt known as the 12th man for no reason.
Only one person said that. He said Anfield is just like another stadium. Guess who? Ten Hag. 😂
@@achuthp.k4567 his word isn't very persuasive right now, the guys on the verge of being sacked! Lol
Lfc v Chelsea 2005 semi was the best
English players: I am scared of Anfield
Thomas Muller: I want to be in the stand at Anfield
Celtic 🍀 to win there in the UEFA cup 2002 was unbelievable
Fergie, Wenger, Mourinho, Guardiola

Im so glad i was born a red
Then there comes a clown saying anfield is no different and what happened to him is history
Anfield is one in the World football ❤❤❤❤
Just imagine if it was an 80k stadium like Old Trafford.
So glad liverpool never left anfield for another stadium, and they stayed true to there roots
No where like it, like one said, if you have a 2nd leg at anfield on champions league night, you know what ever the 1st result, the anfield magic always gives them a chance.
: Evra, " losing at Anfield is the worst feeling in the World"
: Rashford and the gang taking Seven and smiling the next day like it was Christmas.
why does Arteta look like a CGI game character tho?
I was thinking the exact same thing!
Jet Black Hair
Anfield scares him so much he had to attend in CGI
Lego head.
I went once, and was lucky to be in a still standing kop. 4-1 v Middlesborough. Macca got 2 and fowler 1, i forget the other.
The surge forward after each goal was insane. Oh, and £4 for a ticket
The 'This Is Anfield' sign isn't a motto or a marketing spin it's a reminder to the opposition who the hell they're facing and where they are
If Carlsberg made football stadiums.....
Kenilworth Road, a very special place
Glad the great sir Alex not in charge Old Trafford impossible not respect sir alex
Pitch of talent
Mid week, night game, euro comp .. Anfield is 🔥.. anything can happen.

It's special on Sunday
If sir Alex says its special I believe him ❤ YNWA
Welcoming United to Anfield next round. Going to be dinner for us.
Really 🤔
Anfield has the best atmosphere of the world in a football stadium since ever.
We've conquered all of Europe, we're never gonna stoooop
Sounds like croke park when the Dubs play in an all Ireland final.

0:09 SAF slaps him down in seconds.😂
Just ask Barcelona, they know all too well what the atmosphere of Anfield can do.
Didn't have all pep interviews, he said I was laughed at when said it about city , then Barcelona found out what pep had said
It’s an absolute melting pot when we come to anfield, it’s just different there!
barcelona knew what Anfield is(4:0)
There's nowhere in the world like anfield and anyone who was never there haven't a clue what they are talking about
Anyone noticed Rob Holding suddenly has hair like wut
Hope pep remembers this for Sunday's game
Pep will be the next Liverpool-manager!
See yous on Sunday Man City 😊Klopps last home game against pep in the league to stay top of the table…..Anfield will be rocking!!! COME ON YOU REDS!!!!!
THIS. IS. ANFIELD.
Fortress Anfield.
“The atmosphere is because they use speakers”!? This is what some bitter and jealous opposition fans claim! Bitterness and jealousy are such sad and ugly emotions.
Would have loved Jose Mourinho at Liverpool that would have been *special* but i am so grateful for the *normal one*
Watching this such a shame Rooney wasnt from the red side of Liverpool along side Gerrard would have been unbelievable for us
Lionel Messi as good as he is experienced anfield...Suarez experienced it as a rival...
