Klopp plays too open against the top teams, that's why Real Madrid keep beating us. Rafa Benitez played a more balanced style of football, plus we had a much stronger midfield with Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano.

The best part of this was someone high up in the Real Madrid hierarchy (maybe the president? i cant remember) stated publicly liverpool would get beaten very badly and then this happened. I can't remember if it was about the first or second game though. Anyway, you can see Benitez got his tactics right in both games, real madrid had almost no good chances across both game let alone just one of them. Real Madrid had almost none good chances the entire game. Dossena scoring and then the aureiio chip the week after or before this was such an amazing two weeks as a liverpool fan. Watching the Anfield game is one of my favourite childhood memories.
