@@BMACVAGS can the gps be connected to a homemade synthetic aperture radar that was made specifically for the gps, is it also possible to give the gps a name (like airplane's flight number) and could multiple one show up on the same radar screen, also is it possible to have the gps connected to a car gps that is bought separately from the car so that the tracker show's the car's destination and not remove the route line when the car follows it, also is it possible to have the gps connected to a microphone so the person in the car can talk with the person looking at the radar screen and a person looking at a weather radar screen?.
Thanks. Installed it under the hood straight off the battery and it works great,even picks up if the cars in the garage or the driveway. When the wife went too gym I told her what parking spot she parked in.👌
you will get a better signal if it is not under the hood. it doesn't like being under metal. better under the dashboard.

Most probably yes, since gps does not work without internet. Take mobile for instance, to get direction we need internet.

Since this unit has an on/off switch. Do I have to press "ON" after everytime I disconnect my battery terminals, or will it power up automatically to last state?

No back up battery, although you can buy one that does have that capability.
Nice now do you have to take this out to charge the tracker cause I don't wanna have to take the whole device out to charge it
Hey! whats up? I have one question. How much this little device drains the battery wired to the live power wire? I cant decide if i should buy same as yours and install the same way or there is another one which has battery and i could hook that one up to charge once the car is running and keep working on battery mode when car turned off.

How long is the installation for this device? Also I thought this tracker is powered by the cars battery. Is that the case or does it have it's own battery that needs to be recharged or replaced after a short time? Thank you for the video.

Yes!! There's a backup battery that can last more than 7 days when a vehicle battery is removed.

So, the red wire is a positive, and black is a negative, or what? I didn't saw where did you connect that black wire. And one more question, does gps gives you information where the car was only in moment when you called him? When he sent you coordinates and you open it in google maps, what would happened if you turn on your car and start driving? Do you need to call him again, or he start live tracking? Thank you. You have a really great channel. I'm about to change door lock module on my vw Passat B5.5 these days thanks to your videos. Sorry if my english is bad, i hope you understood what i meant. :)

Hey, thanks for video. My tracker has blinking green and blinking red. and is not texting back. I checked with sim provider and all is well. Am I supposed to activate tracker online? And how can I get cigarette lighter adapter. To test easier. Mine didn't come with it and I ordered from your link. Thanks in advance

How much credit do you have to put on these pay as you go sim to not have to get it back out again but suppose it depends how much you call them , what network do they work with ?

Hey! Whats up? I have one question. How much power this device drains wired straight to the live wire? Is it possible to empty your battery when leaving car for a few days? I cant decide if i should get the same device as yours and wire the same way or get a model with a lithium battery and wire it up to the ignition power cable to make tracker charge itself when car is on and continue to work from a battery when car is off...?
+Cyraxas007 Good question. A GPS tracking device like this will typically consume around 60mA of current at 12v with the GPS always on. Low priced devices will not save power by entering a so called "sleep mode" by switching off the GPS as this normally requires a motion sensor and other firmware upgrades. 60mA then would be around 1.4 amp hours of consumption per day or 9.8 Amp hours per week. It is significant and off course on a smaller motor bike battery critical. If a car is used every day or most days it is off course not a problem. Worse in winter due to the colder weather.

I’ve just got one...two cables go to the battery and a third to the ACC circuit in the car. Do you need to connect this third cable. I’ve found great SIM card deal at £2.50 pcm through 1p mobile
