I saw this years ago. I thought this was a weird one and the charcaters were badly written. The opening with Connery likening robbing a safe to rape was odd. It was never explained why Connery was being spied on and he makes some bizarre comment at the end about hammering on locked doors. Another film that should have convinced Connery not to quit Bond. talking about his accent has no relevance to the film! theres plenty of foreigners in new york and always has been! the film is as much about surveylance and government incompetance as it is about a robbery. i think its a good film and the sort of movie that will never be made again because the ending is too downbeat and theres none of the audience pandering that modern movies has. i didnt think connery was like bond at all
