The thing that actually hurt me more is the fact that mono's desire to save six was stronger than his desire to save himself really
Yeah man, that shit deep 😞
Really it's true tho
His loneliness made him like that. His mind was broken due to loneliness.

But it could have been because of Mono is exteremely powerfull so it could be because of he thinks that others can't hurt him
He wears the bag to hide his face from everyone. It says it in the character description that people don't like him. He hides his face so those in the city don't see that he is the thin man. As soon as he loses it in the game, Six drops him because she knows who he truly is.
But Mono couldn't have known that he was the thin man cause otherwise he would have known that six would betray him.
@@Geobot3000 Maybe he just grew up assuming that everyone didn’t like him because he thought that they thought he was ugly.

If you look closely at some of the boss enemies, it shows that they've met their predestined fate. The doctor is constantly shedding ash when shuffling around, the teacher has probably been stretch her neck longer and longer per time loop, the hole on the hunter's mask or his injured arm which is evidence that he's been shot before.
I didn’t notice them before, thanks for mentioning these, I would’ve definitely mentioned them to make a stronger claim to this theory 👌🏼

Some little facts about the world of Little Nightmares 2:
*There are 249 patients within the Pale City hospital.
*There is a metal band titled “Death Burger”
*There are two male bullies named Truls and Benny, and then there is a female bully name Jennifor.
*The children featured in the Little Nightmares 2 comics have in-game models and animations that were intended to make an appearance within the campaign. They can bee seen through the game files.
*The taxidermy dad seen within the Hunter’s cabin was intended to fall.
*The ending sequence with Mono’s transformation was originally going to be much longer, showing that Mono was physically tied to his chair and is struggling to break free. As he ages, the struggling is less frequent, and then he stops.
*We were originally going to interact with a teenage Mono.
*There is a child with a ghost sheet whose nicknamed “Spirit.” He is not the same child featured in the Little Nightmares 2 comics.
*The eye entity seen chasing Mono and Six through the crumbling Black Tower is called “Flesh Walls.”
*We were originally going to have an enemy that essentially acted the same way the stone-turning eyes did in the Maw, though this time it is an actual eye looking through a television.
Yeah, you can see all the kids glitch models in the old tv transmission room ending. A guy posted it earlier today on YT. It would have been nice to flesh out all those children's stories as well. Hope the DLC planned for this game really answers the big questions bc with the original devs ending their work on this franchise, i'm concerned at how the lore or games will change if someone else starts working on them for Bandai Namco. Surely they wouldnt scrap the franchise entirely though with such big fan base behind it.

My analysis on the Barber, who is definitely an interesting character.
We have seen his portrait within one of the corridors of the Pale City school and within the residential quarters of the Governess, meaning the Barber has some sort of relationship with the Governess. This may indicate that he is a rather influential figure within the Pale City. Similar to how both the Teacher and Doctor have their portraits featured in the residential quarters of the Maw and are incredibly impactful within the Pale City.
The Barber owns his own barber shop which is located somewhere within Pale City. The inside is quite well-kept, which is in complete contrast with the many dilapidated apartment complexes that surround him.
The Barber seems incredibly sadistic towards children, as he attempts to kill any within sight with his hair-cutting scissors. Though this is common among most adults.

True
Maybe this whole game is a loop. When they meet the hunter we see that he already has a hole inside the sack he is. And mono and six presumably kill the hunter. Maybe they shot him in the head leaving that hole behind. And also another evidence is that, as you said, the monsters only attack mono and they somehow know that he is the cause of all this pain and suffering. Maybe they are also in a loop.
Yes
This theory would actually put the game in a whole different light, I never would of thought of this! Props bro
thanks, glad it shed some more light on the story
The problem is that Mono became the Thinman due to Six's betray. So when and how Mono got trap in the tower in the first place? Plus, Mono looks more like a slave to the eyes monster, rather than a willing servant, using him and his powers against his will.
For young Mono, ether
The Thin man have enough free will to free a younger self of him, free him and break the loop,
or
The eyes monster, when Thin Man become to old, release a young Mono and lure him to the Tower, capture him again and keep using him
Assuming LN2 is a time loop that means that the events of LN2 already happened, we’re just playing the beginning of one of the many time loops. Basically six will always betray mono, so he ends up becoming thin man and being used by the tower, then he goes back in time through the tv transmissions to try to get his younger self to break the cycle, but ultimately is doomed to always fail. The. The cycle repeats.
You know that Six's music box has to do with the eye monsters right? Sooo if Mono would break the music box just in the begining the cycle would stop

I share a lot of sympathy with Mono, from the feelings of loneliness to the sense that people just don't like me, I also like to think I'm a very giving person, so that matches as well, and my pet name turns out to be Mono too (although this is because an uncle compared me to a monkey at birth, but because of this game I'm actually starting to like it).
People don't like me to I was always loving and caring to them but they hated it:(
Well, i your strong enough to say this (specifically good things) about yourself, then you must be a good person! I sometimes don’t have the strength to say good things about myself, because I don’t feel like I deserve it.

In the theory of six being involved in the timeloop technically the runaway kid is trapped as well where he keeps dying by the hunger of six.
I think the reason why six let go of mono in little nightmare 2 is because she saw his face and i think in one of the comics or what the developer's said is that they hate mono when they see his face so that could also be the reason why he has a paper bag on?

Me who read the wiki: he's just shy
Didn't The Thin Man (Mono) send himself back into the past? How else did he get through the TV at the beginning of the game? Was he being born again through his own power? If so, is that why he wears a paper bag over his head to begin with? Did he cover his face before repeating that timeline? In previous timelines, was his face uncovered and that lead to him trying to cover it in the timeline of LN2? The Little Nightmares franchise really keeps me on my toes. I'm always so curious after watching a gameplay of each game. I pray the DLC everyone is talking about breaks this cycle and releases both Mono and Six from their horrible nightmares. I just want the creator to explain this masterpiece already and end it on a peaceful note 😔
If theyre all in a time loop, where does mono come from in the beginning of the game?
@Xavier Mason - exactly, there is no time loop because mono is a kid in the beginning and then an adult by the end. How does he get back to being a kid?
@@HypocritesExposd he gets killed by young mono? Still doesnt explain much tho
Before the tv, he was living a normal life but everyone hated him. And I dont think anyone killed Mono that time since Thin Man didnt existed. It was probably because of Six betraying him in a different scenario, creating Thin Man. That's when the time loop started, all because of Six.
Before the tv in the beginning he was dropped by six . Never ending loop
@@haushinka9036 nope
I just noticed that when six is being taken from the tv you can actually see that the thin man isn’t wearing his fedora. Idk if it will help but 🤷♂️
Mono is short for monophobia which is the fear of being lonely so that is why he desperately wants to stay with six
But he is a lonely boy with magic powers
OMG I JUST REALIZED WHEN SIX DROPPED HIM HE DIDNT HAVE HIS MASK ON!! DID SHE RECOGNIZE HIM AND BE LIKE NAW FAM
Basically what happens, then the loop continues and she becomes the lady of the maw
Could the loop possibly be broken if six was killed?
So the bullies in the school sing their own version of the Veronica song andy husband and I deciphered the first verse as this:
Dying Thinman
He don't know
He don't, he don't, he don't, oh no
He falls, he falls, he falls down here
He's never gonna ever gonna find the key
And I thought we were crazy for hearing that yet with your theory it actually stands! So thank you!
hmm...what if that key wasn't to open the door but to let him out instead 🤔 since the door was never padlocked? maybe if he hadn't lost that key, maybe they can break the loop?
@@darkmerrygoround yeah, I was thinking something similar! Keys are very important to the game and I'm sure there is something to do with that key he is shown to have...
The Thinman could have opened the door himself if he wanted to I think because like you said it wasn't padlocked and Mono just pulled the handle....
Hypothetically if you could turn on the tv at the start of the game could Mono go through it. Also low key it sounds like there is a secret key in the game all easter egg style
@@AstraFulminous that is true, but how did he become "young" again, and as you've said he came from the TV at the start so where did he came from before that? :o But now I'm obsessed with the idea of that key lolss
@@AstraFulminous I wish I had the game. I honestly believe that there's a hidden key of some sort in the game. And also, why was the TV working int the first place? It was in the middle of the woods.
It all makes sense now, Thin man is the only person that targeted Six because he knows that she was the cause of Mono's destiny and also targeted Mono to stop him from reaching the signal tower and save six
the word Mono is also a type of broadcasting frequency
like so GamerSault can see this
I have a question on your theory about these events being a time loop, the viewers being the guests, and six being the lady, how could the doctor make new faces for the viewers if he got burned alive?
Edit: Thanks for answering my question!
You're welcome, your question needed proper explaining, thanks for the question, it filled up parts of the video :)
Wasn’t there a theory that the doctor is brought back to life again and again because he is also in the loop? When he crawls across the ceiling, ashes are falling off of him, like as if he came out of the body burner. Not my theory, but it’s an interesting one.
@@gamersault Can you shed some light on how six only betrayed mono after he took off his mask,
I say this because six was friendly with him when he had his mask on, but was different toward him
once he took his mask off.
Guys I think six “betraying “ mono was all planned by the two of them to stop the eye and the signal tower
It sounds outlandish but I believe the theory I’ve connected from very little nightmares the comics all the way to little nightmares 2 is abit feasible
I think I saw you in a different video
Mono means nmbr 1. If you look at the concept art book. There are 6 kids includes Mono and Six. Look it up
If you look up their homepage you get the answer he feels the world around him hates him and want to hide because of it.
Almost all the kids (who are alive) have their faces partially covered with hair or something else. I always thought it was to protect themselves from the radiation so their faces don't get deformed like the adults
If the time loop theory is correct then every time we die in Little nightmare 1 & 2 the loop breaks and the world will become free because maw and pale city cant work without the lady and The thin man.
Am I crazy or am I onto something?
I think your on to something

That loop discussion makes a lot of sense, especially the constant doors leading to the same or different locations
I wanna know how it all started cuz yes we know it's a time loop so it'll repeat no matter what but then that means the creatures already knew mono was going to be the thin man but how did they know in the first place like before the loop started?
I wonder if the secret achievement for not incinerating the doctor has anything to do with a different part in the loop
I didn't know you could just leave without incinerating him, 'cause its usually the first idea on everyone's head.
Does six know she’s the one keeping him in the time loop
The question that is bugging me, how did the loop start?
Many say that the thin man exists both in the future and past due to the signal towers transmission.
However, thin man only comes into existence due to Six dropping Mono. Does this mean something happened to Mono and perhaps Six even before Mono became the thin man?
exactly. this question has been on my mind the entire time
Me too
The real question is how the freak does the hat just appear on his head when he becomes thin man.. 🤔
This theory seems very sensible.
such a great theory, never thought that they were chasing mono because they knew what he wanna become, thanks!
I just noticed how long mono’s legs are
Me too! I think he grows like supper fast. That's why he was so tall when he became the thin man
What if we play as the thin man in little nightmares 3 and try to stop the time loop
Hm your videos look way too good for that little subs , lets pump those numbers , keep it up i really enjoy ur content.
As the world buckles under the relentless pulse of The Signal Tower, Mono takes refuge where he can.
His thin paper mask offers some respite, helping him forget that the world outside hates him, and wants him to fail - but he can't stay hidden forever.
it's even more sad when you read his character description, he thinks the world hates him, so he wears a bag, he meets someone who he THINKS is gonna be his friend, someone whom he actually LIKED, only to have her betray him... i hope they make a part three, where we play as six and we have to free mono and turn him back to normal.
I forgot who said this, I found it in a CZcams comment on a coryxkenshin video but maybe the thin man was actually trying to save him from the loop and six is evil
Unrelated, what music were you playing in the background of your theory?
Mono actually betrayed six as well. She at the end only betrayed him bc she found out his true identity and that he is actually keeping her there. There is a scene where the thin man takes six and Mono doesn’t try to help her, instead he hides under a bed watching six get taken away. This remidns her of her first time geting betrayed in the game. Therefore he is actually the one who betrayed her
I see it as this: After the first loop he woke up. but he always had the sense it was still going on. and when he goes to sleep every night it repeats, instead of being truly trapped in the nightmares.
Cory be like-I don’t know how are you going to do it but I need my mono back in little nightmares 3
Me-that’s going to be a problem
Simple, I use it because it makes me forget about how the world wants me to fail. Also camouflage
Ok true tho Mono
Duh, course bro
Ty for that it makes it easy to under stand more of mono and the ppl
2:27 Mono's name might came from Greek cuz "Μόνο" may be "Μόνος" that means alone
He’s hiding under it because spongebob gave him the ugly
My mono doesn't wear paper bag! He wears the raccoon tail one lol whatever they're called haha.
He's talking about the default one
😐
My theory is that Mono’s powers are what caused the world to go corrupt, slowly but surely. That’s why people specifically go for Mono, because the part of the antagonists that are still human know what he’s done, and killing him could, at least they think, could set them free from the signals corruption. A paper bag over someone’s head can also represent shame, so maybe Mono’s powers seemingly getting stronger or being unleashed when he takes them off. A description of Mono is that once he sets his mind on something, he is determined to achieve that goal, it is highly possible his determination to find and get Six back was what motivated him to take off his paper bag.
Got an idea..
Little nightmare 2 is supposed to be an endless loop for mono and all caracteres. However we had a little nightmare 1 which is after LN 2 in the timeline. That mean the loop has been broken.
For me the loop has been broken by mono him-self. He understand that he will always loose and instead of trying to catch six, he kills him (the body that can be seen in little nightmare 1) action that ends the loop.
The question is now : In LN2 are we playing this final loop ?
He is too handsome to be left alive
He is chester‘s Dad
I love the music you put in the background of your videos!
Man, if they ever work on LN3, I hope there are at least choices to different fates of mono, six and other children, like save or destroy.

This is the same case for me with FNAF, that's why it's once my fav. Now it's LN because I like the gameplay too, not just the story
4:20 "six is ignored in many chase sequences"... yeah like, literally only one (the doctor)
in the hunter, he only seemed to attack mono, i think he wants six for himself and sees mono as the kid trying to take her from him
@@gameypiettvgamergames7463 well it's hard to tell since six outruns mono and he's always last in line so it's logical that the hunter tries to shoot him instead of six.
You can also see that mono is thin man when he try’s to pull out six from the tv then thin man uses the same hand motion as mono to get out of the tv
Edited because i realised that you mentioned some things that i mentioned here in your vid:
So you mentioned in a point in your vid that the monsters seem to know that mono will become the thin man and will constantly bring misery to their world, i think this shows they are aware of the loop- because this obviously isnt the first time youve gone through their areas and theyve also been killed by you or you escaped them countless times before and this time- maybe this time they can stop it if they try.
This is such a good theroy!! i really enjoy your vids.
My theory adding on to yours about the Masks hiding your “identity”. Seemingly all of the monsters hide their faces and who they are under masks, the victums however (the one who stay as prey) dont and therefore fail and die, for example the fate of the runaway kid. Therefore in this world i think they all need to hide their faces because it “makes them weak” e.g the ladys weakness is her face
Mono's name was revealed in an interview with David Mervik, the narrative designer for Little Nightmares. Like Six, Mono's name is based on a number (one); however, given his motif, it could also be a reference to 'monochrome television', also known as "black-and-white television".
I think the other supposed villains are the children that we seen from the comics. Or possibly other children and that didn’t get affected by the links and became the villains just like mono became the thin man. And six may possibly be the lady. Which would make sense for the doctor in the hunter and the teacher they may possibly be children transform into these characters.
It's kind of metaphoric, because all eyes are on him as he is the star of this game, and he's in a loop because of people playing the game, sometimes more than once. Anyway, I'm guessing when he defeated his older self, he somehow made him younger and sent him back to the TV where he came out of in the beginning?
When u mention the monsters dying and being part of the loop it could explain why the hunter has so many bear traps lying about. Why the school has so many traps as well, becuz it doesnt seem like for the other bullies.
Guys did you not notice that the background was the "Nightmare" song one of my fav songs it goes like this this is just a nightmare there's a chill in the night air
2:15 so does this mean that you could get a good ending where the loop stops just by giving him a better sense of fashion?
we can change the paper mask to the hunter's hat before Mono meets Six again in the hunter's house (assuming comics is the 1st time), its just very simple Mono was just hiding from those who hate or bully him, but more than happy to show his face to the girl he likes.
so SIx knows Mono's face all along, but only got to see the face of the thin man after he came out of the TV
I'm surprised that no one but you has talked about why Mono wears the paper bag, and your theory seems to be very interesting. I'm not a professional, but I have some experience in character design, as I am studying it as a hobby.
Mono's paper bag, according to the official description, says he wears it because;
1. He likes to put things on his head (Yooo that's also me)
2. He uses the paper bag as a "escape" from the people who want him to fail
But I think it also has another meaning.
I think cartoons used to do this, but paper bags tend to represent a lonely character. Perhaps introverted, or it also represents resentment from other people, which is what the official description says.
Another thing would be the shape. Yeah, it's supposed to be square. Grocery bags are square. But in character design, shapes are used to convey a character's "personality" through visuals.
Let me present the meaning of each shapes:
Circle - cute, young, innocent
Square - static, friendly, trustworthy, and stable
Triangle - Agressive, cunning and active
If you ask me, I think the square pretty much represented Mono's personality. With the combination of his fear of being alone, he is trying to be friends with Six, going so far as to following her near the attic, where she finally needed his help. He puts others before himself, that's what makes him trustworthy.
Now still remember the shapes?
Remember, the meaning of 'triangle'?
Agressive, cunning and active?
That's Six's raincoat right there. Triangular shaped, intentionally meant to look like so, to interpret her personality.
Agressive, cunning and active. I think their clothes speak more words than any other anime plot without even using words, oh my God.
The devs of Little Nightmares are soooo sneaky and clever.
Why does Mono wear a paper bag on his head?
Mono: I suffer from severe facial dysmorphia.
So Monos name means “alone” or something like that so I came up with a theory, what if ln2 is a sequel and six isn’t real, and he’s just making it up that she’s there or maybe the tower is making him think she’s real and at the end when she drops him that could be a reflection of that the world hates him and wants him to fail. Idk just a theory🤷♀️ (also sorry if I worded it weirdly)
I like that theory
I was thinking about that too
I think you may have said this in your last video but at the end, 6 sees mono’s face for the first time. I think she recognizes his face which is why she doesn’t pull him up. He’s come to make a bargain
This theory would actually explain the hole in the hunters mask. Its from Mono and the previous time loop
also, if you look up the thumbnail picture of the game, the thin man is in the background. behind him is the signal tower, but the way its placed makes it look like he has a bag on his head. amazing foreshadowing.
People should be asking what that paper bag is made of cause that thing can get wet and never fall apart or just get blown away
I get why he would want to wear a paper bag. But if he feels safe wearing the bag, why did he take it off when fighting the thin man? He couldn't have known that the thin man is him either. And even after killing him, why did he never put it back on?
I think it's because the bag is more metaphorical. He hides himself, he's shy and self conscious, but when he faces the thin man, he has no choice but to accept who he really is.
@@daalicornpro but the problem is that he doesnt know who he is
I think that when baby mono kills adult mono , Adult mono is the one at the beginning who gets pushed out the TV and by the time he finally reaches the door he sees the mono he defeated but he doesn’t know because the loop gets restarted as soon as he kills his older self . Man idk 😂😂
