In this video you'll discover the nootropic benefits of Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR). Including why we use Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR) as a nootropic, the difference between L-Carnitine and Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR), recommended dosage, side effects and clinical research.
Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR) is a synthesized version of L-Carnitine. Which is a derivative of the amino acids lysine and methionine.
ALCAR is more bioavailable than L-Carnitine. It easily crosses the blood-brain barrier. And delivers L-Carnitine across cell membranes and into your brain (which L-Carnitine would not be able to cross on its own).
ALCAR is a necessary ingredient for acetylcholine formation. Which boosts memory, mental alertness, and fluid thought.
The antioxidant properties of Acetyl-L-Carnitine provides neuroprotective qualities, boosts Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), and promotes cerebral blood circulation.
Acetyl-L-Carnitine helps with memory, mood, mental performance and the ability to get and maintain an erection.
As a nootropic, ALCAR users report a boost in energy and quicker thinking.

I took ALCAR years ago but never thought I could see any difference. I still kept it in powder form however. Now that I am experiencing fatigue from CHF (congestive heart failure, bradycardia) I began looking for ways to improve my energy naturally-hoping to avoid a pacemaker for now. I dug out my ALCAR yesterday before my swim which I force myself through because energy begets energy but lately I have felt like I was run over by a truck for three days after each swim, and that after only 20-30 minutes. To be fair, I did start taking a pill form of ALCAR and uniquinol last week so maybe all can’t be accredited to the powdered ALCAR I loaded in my drink pre workout but man, what a difference! Not only was I able to complete a 45 minute swim I was able to walk out of the gym without my cane, no pain at all, and have absolutely no soreness today even. I am simply amazed. And wondering how often and how much I should take. My Apple Watch still alarmed me all evening that my heart rate had fallen below 40 for more than 10 minutes but I felt great and my blood oxygen was 94-96% so whatever, ALCAR did the trick.

L-Carnitine does not easily cross the blood-brain barrier. But when you add an acetyl-group to it is easily crosses into your brain.
So, plain L-Carnitine does not have any nootropic value because it cannot get into your brain in the amounts you need to make acetylcholine.

L-carnitine inhibits both triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) entry into the cell nuclei (pulse.ly/0a3u2xbxtb ). But at lower doses like 500 mg twice per day it does not seem to cause problems in my experience.

THANKS for this Update !!! For some reason I missed the original video & just saw it today.
I've used so many of your Recommendations & they Truly have IMPROVED my Overall Health in many ways.
But as you often indicate, we must Trial & Error until we Discover what Works Best.
I've tried a lot but no Errors. Everything Helps. But as I Concluded by watching your Videos; Prostate & ED is caused by some Deficiency in the Brain.
A few months ago I began taking Full Spectrum Amino Acids & stopped taking Protein Powder Supplements. I also added a 2000mg per day of Pumpkin Seed Oil.
My ED has practically Disappeared, Morning Wood Daily, no need for Sildenafil, & my Mind is Clear. Prostate Measures are now down to 4.1 with the Prostate Size going from 25% enlarged to 5%.
I take many other Suppliements & for years. But this Recent Change has come From the Amino Acids. I'm sure the Pumpkin Seed Oil helps Greatly Too.
But the Aminos along with the NooTropics & Vitamins you Recommend (list is too long to Include lol) are what have improved my entire Organism.
The Aminos I take include the L-Carnitine. But I refocused more on L-Carnitine, Creatine & L-Leusine for M-Tor Reaction. The only side effects it makes you poop but not Diarrhea .
But mostly L-Carnitine by Accident lol
I am Now going to Focus on Acetyl Carnitine as this Reaches the Brain !!!
I haven't seen any in the stores. But I've seen some online.
As you have so often indicated, our bodies no longer produce Aminos as when we were Younger. That is why I reverted to taking Full Spectrum Aminos.
When I was a Body Builder in my 30s I never took protein powders. Only Keylated Aminos from GNC the only place to buy them back then & they worked Awesome.
I suspect this may not work for everyone, but I'm sure it can't hurt those struggling with ED, Prostate & Beginning Alzheimers.
I am convinced these ALL START IN THE BRAIN. With Inflammation. And Eliminating the inflammation in the Brain will Cure the rest Naturally if one begins early.
I can only thank you for All You Wonderful Informative NooTropic Videos that Gave me HOPE to continue the Battle !!! And Now I Finally see The Light at the End of the Tunnel.
Many of my Friends had their Prostate Removed, had Prostate Cancer or Died.
There are so many things involved but I can say this much - Gut Biome, the more Fiber the Better, AMINO ACIDS Full Spectrum Especially those that can crossover into the Brain & Healthy Diet & Supplements.
Thanks Again. I will Continue Watching your Videos and Continue to Fight the Good Fight.
Good Luck to All of You Who Follow this Channel ...
    MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!

DHA (Omega-3) but NOT fish oil or most Omega-3s because the amount of DHA is too low. You need 1,000 mg DHA per day and half that of EPA.
