I literally did the finding lisa quest line on Hard II yesterday. You made the marauders look so easy. I was so proud of myself taking the bear out - just blew up barrels and gas tanks, never got hit (my first play through ever the bear mauled me several times) Then I watch you, throw one petrol can set the bear on fire and a few bullets later he's dead. I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. Great Job
Oh HGF, I've got to tell you mate, the bear that I took out glitched, as it was stuck. I've never taken out that bear so easy in my life, as what I took it out on this playthrough. I just got very lucky on this bear, honestly.

Dang , you made easy work of that bear ! Also , that was a smart way to meet up with O'Brien , definitely good to know. You got yourself into a couple of hot spots from venturing out at night. If it wasn't for the night missions , I don't think I would have ever experienced the game in a night setting lol. A most entertaining video once again. I salute you my friend !
You are far too kind as always my friend, and that bear glitched on me in a big way, so I really have to thank the gaming gods for that one, lol. As this playthrough goes on, a lot of mishaps will happen, and eventually (not for a while yet though), you will see something that will make you laugh as much as I did, but i'm not saying what. I just look forward to your comments on the episode when it does FM, lol.
Hey Boris, been following the series and your channel for a while now. Love what I'm seeing. I got my own series and alot of your videos didn't just help me with my playthroughs but also are inspiring me to want to make more Days Gone content. Coincidentally, episode 7 of my playthrough actually comes out in about an hour and a half and it happens to also be the one where I find Lisa. Keep up the good work man.

What I've learned so far is that, although my gunplay in Days Gone is terrible, my sense of direction is a lot better than yours, so that's a win I guess!😅

Thank you my friend, and you ain't wrong. My directional sense is frickin awful. There are a couple of episodes later on when it gets close to insane . All the mishaps are kept in this playthrough to show that I'm human and that the playthrough will show all my flaws (and there are a lot of them, lol). Just hope you enjoy the show my friend.
@@borislav247 LOL, you aren't kidding. The Cascade map is a nightmare to navigate without a HUD display...too many blind turns, obstacles, etc. And the Cascade map at night is even worse since the layout makes quick get aways from swarms when driving offroad tough. Still, I am enjoying my current Survival 2 run (with all of the skill points, etc - no extreme playthrough for me!) and I get a kick out of seeing you scramble to escape tricky situations. Keep up the good work! 🙂

I watched all the dead island ones last month,
I completed the first one a few years ago but didn't want to do the second one, so watching you do it was the next best thing.

@@borislav247 Would you say that Dead Island 2 "scratches the same itch" as Days Gone? I love DG and I love RE type games in general. I might pick up Dead Island 2 if it doesn't have a large day one patch.

Lucky bear takedown, when I played I was running around half the town, in and out of buildings before I got it.

@@Kelly_Australia actually I miss being so naive, discovering things your own way, hiding, alot, and going on the great adventure. I still play now but with so much more confidence now but the early days were special.
I swear the game glitched with that bear, as that's the easiest encounter I've ever had. You normally have to do a lot of moving about to keep out of it's way, but you seen what happened in this video. The gaming gods were clearly on my side for this one, lol.

Always pisses me off when Deek takes Lisa to hot springs. Feel so sorry for her. They should have given you a choice of camps, the same storyline could have played out at any of them.

I wonder if he thought eventually more "worse" people like Rippers will come looking for her like who were there, and she won't last long. The camp isn't nice, it's definitely a tough work camp, but had security too. Yet doesn't seem much freedoms or choice to leave, and he did mention it's a work camp but then said maybe her mum is at the camp. I'm sure he knew she wasn't as left with men, likely military men and ...maybe still around and a slim chance ended up at a camp. I'm sure he knew there was no mother there asking around.

I have played through this game over and over for 1500 hrs but this is only my 2nd Survival ll. Days Gone Always!!! Survival ll is the Title just got to Tuckers place I'm usually playing from 5pmish to midnight central time. Waiting for the bell toll for part 8 take care mate!

that mission at the tower up near rock sarah was a huge pain for me -- between the chokepoint location, the horde climbing up the hill towards you, and the infestation nests, it was no shortage of challenges. and that's when i already had the SMP-9 to use. i ended up doing it in phases -- mostly just cleaning out nests and fleeing, and baiting groups away from the area and circling back quickly.
i visited rock sarah a lot on my run (completionist mindset). i highly recommend just fleeing through the tents on the left and getting to the rock the long way -- the freakers got lost pretty quick and made the encounters a lot easier to manage. especially with the world progressively getting more "busy," it's good to have options that don't include gunplay :)
Some great advice there Xdnb, and I get your frustration with this section of Days Gone. And at night, this area is insane, lol. Just don't go there at night.
@xylok_dnb2444 and @borislav247 I agree with you both on the merits. However, the ledge overlooking the Patjens horde feeding ground (that they visit at night) is a perfect easy kill spot if you can maintain stealth (so they don't run away) and you have plenty of Molotovs and/or explosives. I have found that my preference for taking out the horde is this spot when you are required to visit the Sarah rock for the first time since the day seems to naturally cycle to night while you are there. And with the many barrels the 9 freakers you are required to kill means you don't have to waste much ammo. I guess on my next playthough, I may try @xylok_dnb244 's method of losing the horde in the tents just to see if I can take them out there. I know there is some free ammo in at least two locations in the lower camp (before climbing the hill to the rock).

Thank you Scott. If they ever bring out a sequel, I hope they focus on bigger play areas where you have much larger ambush camps and much larger hordes, and with some crazy high end weaponry to balance out the larger hordes. All a dream though right now, as there's unlikely to be a sequel for a long time yet. If a movie of the game ever gets made like was talked about though, then there's a chance.
Just cracked a bottle of red, now I can enjoy it watching another episode. I've started a survival II run of My own but without your restrictions and have to say the early parts are pretty brutal until you get the smp9 and some skills! Much admiration for you doing the run as you are, makes it really interesting.
I'm extremely jealous, as my next bottle of red ain't happening till next week, but I love your style, have a drink and chill with some Days Gone action. That's my dream night in, lol. I hope your playthrough's going well TP, and I wish you all the best on it.

It's a shame they cut out how you find out about Copeland's scars, I always like when games flesh out their characters with backstories. Awesome video as always.

@@Kelly_Australia yeah the cutscenes were left in the files, they show Cope and Deacon standing around a campfire, talking about a Bear that attacked Copeland.

Aw B rippers are pipe bomb manaics in survivor 1 got me a good couple o times lol coz i didn't know that (at time)having bombs thrown at you/freakers or having them thrown at you/freakers knocks you back lol till yesterday.
Oh I love the rippers M, they have all the good s$%t when you are looting their dead bodies, lol.
Did you have a word with the bear before that mission?? Look like it was told not to move, and it didn't..😅. See your sense of direction is still a bit suspect!!! Lol.
Oh TD, that was the craziest easy takeout of that bear I've ever managed. It must have bloody glitched or something. My surprise to that section really told the whole story. And my direction, LMAO, this was a GOOD episode that way. Far more shameful ones are on there way TD, lol.

36:32 I’m surprised I rarely see you loot ammo from the police cars. Maybe thats one of the conditions of the challenge?
It's not a condition LU. The only reason I rarely go for police cars, is that they don't give you that much ammo.
@@borislav247 But they are a lifesaver, especially when you need ammo for a weapon that is not in your locker/inventory.

Boris what happened to the “keep your nose down” video?
It will reappear my friend. The problem was though, I was under the impression that I had discovered a horde that no one knew about, which I used to take out this mission. However, after the video had been out live for 2 hours, it became apparent that everyone seemed to know about this horde. Turns out that a video was made by Bend Studio in 2019, where they showed this very horde on this mission on a demo video, and it had a few million views (but clearly I was one person who didn't see this video). I simply couldn't keep this video online due to it not being a new discovery, but I am going to redo the video, and it will be shown at a later date as there is merit in showing this mission played out the way I do it, and I can add some extra stuff to it also.

I discovered the horde while I was exploring the area but I thought they were just a random large swarm encounter. Lucky I was able to watch the most part of the video but when I came back after doing some chores I couldn’t find it.
