- Hi folks, on this series of videos, I focus on the most effective & easiest ways there are to take out the featured horde, and on this video, it's THE IRON BUTTE RANCH HORDE that is under the spotlight. A lot of ways to take out this horde, including 5 EASY kill areas. I only use weapons that would be available at the time, of when you are likely to take them on. If you have better weapons than what I am showing, then these methods will be even easier. Lot's of fun to be had with this iconic horde. I hope you all enjoy the video.

I came late to this game, played it last year at the grand old age of 60 😊. My grandson couldn't believe his nana was into this. Had to explain I was playing games when he was a twinkle in his dad's eye. Watching these makes me want to play it again , but don't know if my nerves will take a second round 😂
If you play this game during the day, you might not be too bad, but DON'T play it at night, lol. And of course, you're never too old to play video games. Thank you for watching my video.

I'm 64 yrs old and started gaming the first day Intelivison and Atari came out. My 1960 generation is the first gaming generation. I truly don't understand how people can watch the junk programs on TV or cable. I only play video games.

I’m 63 and I still play video games. Have been for as long as I can remember. I just started Days Gone about a month ago and I love it. DG2 should be a thing in my opinion. Assassins Creed is one of my favorite franchises ever and most of R* games.
I wouldn’t be able to tell you how many times I just quit and didn’t play for a week because I couldn’t beat the horde. I watch this video and bam after 2 tries I beat it. Thank you so much!

Loved the way you used the horde to take out the Ripper camp because as you stated they are one of the toughest to deal with. It's funny that if you stray too far from the mission area , the horde still follows you , but you don't get credited with freaker ears or mission completion when you wipe them out. By all means , all of these methods were fun to watch regardless if they ' counted ' or not. The safest , and simplest method by far would have to be your famous ' Horde Whisperer ' method. A side note to those who may not be aware. These methods will always work because Bend Studio stopped patches ages ago. Great compilation video my friend , and a shout out to those that contributed with their tips which you executed perfectly. Simply amazing ! 😊😊

Got to admit, the limitations on where you can take on this horde really shortened this video, as I had found a few good areas for easy kill locations, but they were simply no good as they counted for nothing. But the destruction of the Ambush Camp is a fantastic exception, and I was happy to be able to show everyone that an invisible boundary exists for this horde. And yes my friend, the Horde Whisperer method is still the quickest & easiest easy kill location. Thank you as always FM for you're amazing support as always.

Your information is not lacking entertainment!! I can always watch these gems... My mentor , truly. And I learned that the horde will follow me, but the won't count and respawn later ...that's gonna come in useful .lol also, do you know that in the challenge mode you can shoot the hell out of them from where the bike is and when they come running up ,hide in the bushes!? They'll go back down , rinse and repeat ! Takes forever tho .lol

I just took this lot on for the first time last night. A combo of attractors, pipe bombs, frags, mollys & the MG. Running like hell, it was epic. Took ages but was worth it

Im just about to take on this horde on my second play through, this time on hard. Its been fine so far and ive watched so many of your videos for help. Thanks so much for this content. This game is my ultimate favourite game, it surpasses the last of us which is a pretty good achievement. Days gone is glitchy but also brilliant, its underrated

Great video Boris! I was doing the same stealth like you did toward the end of the video but I used the different order. I started with grenades followed by attractors to group them into two groups ( left and right). Then I hit them with napalm bombs. Then I put another attractor in between follow by napalm bomb. Then I sent another attractor close to the exploding truck and shoot it. That should kill them. If few servive I take them with the gun play. This way you save on your consumables.
Alternatively you can approach the log pile and do the same order instead of going all guns blasting like you did and killed most of. If you do it right they won't even notice. If they do you then get some distance from the logs and shoot the barrel. If that doesn't kill them you then lure them to the second barel and shoot it to explode. Again you save on materials doing it this way 😜

I complete this area tonight using the easy kill 1 and 3 reason for that was i fell off the rock in one made a ran for the bridge and did what you pointed out although a few jumped out at me i still managed to kill those freakers . Thank you for point out the easy kill three

Thanks again for the videos, I led these bad boys like the pied piper to the ripper camp nearby and let them clear it for me, genius, worked a treat. I then tried a few different easy kill location attempts but was just not quick enough and settled on the bridge glitch area. Cleared on the second go as I chucked a grenade into the horde, not recommended, was killed in the blast. Job done after though. 🎉

Hello again, I've been taking on all the hordes since my last post for this video and used easy kill locations here before.
This time I did it using the explosives around the area, alot of running and gunning too but so satisfying taking them out instead of perched on a rock. +3 bullet penetration helps too 😊
I really like making things difficult for myself lmao. I was running around the area and back to my bike to refill ammo and running in circles. Never occured to me to shoot any of the trucks or barrels/kits. Smfh thanks so much for these easy methods.

Instead of going that far to kill this horde there's a spot by the broken bridge where you can stand and the horde can't enter the space it's like an invisible wall and you can kill them there
I actually show this area on this video mate. I also made a standalone video called the Horde Whisperer (all about this area), due to the amount of control that you have over this horde at this spot.
I've been hit a few times in that area. You're not untouchable by that bridge.
@@borislav247 Boris, can you use them on the 2 other ripper camps ? I think there's 2 more, definitely 1 with the big canyon running through it.
@@CombatMosquitoTrainer Oh mate, potentially, you could use this horde to take out all 10 of the Ambush Camps in the North, as this horde will never stop chasing you if they can see you.
@@CocoSnicker12 Got to admit CS12, if you ain't very accurate with where you are standing, you are at risk of taking the odd slap, but get it right, and they won't hit you.

CONFIRMED. As of 2/01/24 method Easy Kill location #3 is valid and has not been patched. It was the easiest horde I’ve ever taken out hands down and it being one of the largest in the game. Not a single “slap”. Awesome! Napalm not required but a lot quicker. Used 5 and then maybe a container and a half of MG55 ammo to finish them off. I read that Bend Studios doesn’t work on patching the game any longer so makes sense why this is still a thing. Awesome video man, thanks!
Bend Studio won't touch this game now as they have ironed out all the main game bugs. The easy kill methods for the hordes will remain this way now so happy days, lol.

Crazy to think that the Iron Butte region has only got one horde. Entertaining video i really enjoyed watching. One horde i absolutely HATE taking on, amonst a couple of others. Ive tried the glitchy bridge method and kept on getting hit by the freakers. But also have the option to reset all the hordes back on the map so i can try again and again

I wish id seen your video before I took on this horde. I did it ok but it took me over an hour using hit and run tactics. On a different note, I've been seeing a lot of interest in this game lately and appreciation of just how good it is, with even an online petition aimed at pushing for a Day's Gone 2. Although that would be great do you think that there is a realistic chance of it happening?.
Well my friend, if the rumours of a potential film actually happen, then a sequel to the Days Gone game could potentially have a chance of happening. But it's a wait and see thing right now. If they make a film of this, I'll be first in the line at the cinema to watch it.
I love the Iron Butte horde. Still remember the excitement of the first time I did it, the anticipation as they all sat in that little hole, how many could I decimate before they came after me......

One query m8... Can we respawn the hoarde ? Or i have no to restart the game once again ?
When you have completed the main game, if you have taken out all the hordes, you will eventually get an option when you pause the game, to reset the hordes. But all the hordes have to be destroyed first before this option will appear.

i really don't understand why people have problem to engage with hordes...i love it from day one and never have a problem with it! I think i never died fighting them even when i first play and run on them early without any prepare and good weapons,because i was exploring like it's normal open world game😅
But still i manage to kill them all and that was most exciting encounter's!
After when you have good weapons and all skills upgrade it's not that hard and i often finish them in few min!
I love this game so much...if i have big time money i would definitely assemble that crew that make day's gone to make some crazy blockbuster or i would buy out rights for part 2!
It's just the sheer numbers that I think does a number on people. Like you say, when you have good weapons, you really do become OP, and as long as you stay calm & use the environment well, they can be taken out relatively hassle free.
I was riding my bike for quest and got too close to the horde dame horde chase me to so far thank goodness i know the throw grenade and roll technique that saved my ass or else i was dead meat.

I tried the stealth option yesterday but it was quite a challenge! Somehow they always found out where I am and started chasing me, after like 10th try, I gave up, ended up running and got them along the way, but phew, this was a tough one for me.. now Sawmill awaiting😂 even worse
Oh Alex, for this horde, the stealth option is probably the toughest method I show. It took me multiple attempts to record that one, so don't beat yourself up over it. There are much easier methods than stealth for most of the hordes now.

I was wondering about this. I once lured this horde to the ripper ambush camp and then took out the horde only to find it in its entirely back at iron butte. Thot I was going 🤪
The first time I took this horde over to the Ambush Camp, I was thinking the same thing because I had no frickin ears, but now it all makes sense, finally, lol.

Ps you net the xp though thats alright, so when exactly does this horde unlock? So i take it you can do this horde multiple times?
This horde unlocks as soon as you have completed the mission that takes you into the Iron Butte region. You can take on this horde multiple times if you take them away from their ranch area, but you won't get any ears for them. They are a very good option though to take out nearby ambush camps with.

Hi boris, a little question ,if i kill the horde earlier in the game, it will respawn when i have to come back later during the game story ?
It won't Miguel. If you take out this horde early, you don't even get any notification that they have been destroyed, but, when you get the mission late in the game to visit this horde, once you get to the Iron Butte Ranch, you will see a notification come up in the same way that you would have seen, had you just taken on the horde there and them.

you don’t get the freaker ears if you take them out of the boundaries, but do you get XP? if you do this could be a decent XP farm
Potentially a fantastic XP farming area given the size of this horde.

Lol, I'm the best guide in Iron Butte.
Just finished this game. Completed all the hordes in the list but stuck at 98%. Shows there's one horde around Copeland's camp I've not cleared but can't find it.
From experience, the toughest one to find in Cascade (the region where Copeland's Camp is located), is the Grotto Cave Horde. They are in the far North East of Cascade. Check on your horde list of the ones you have taken out, to see if you have taken out this one. If you haven't, then happy Days, just check out my video on the Grotto Cave Horde to get all of there locations & you will eventually get them. If you have taken out this horde, check out my Cascade video, and check your list of defeated hordes against the 8 hordes that I show in this video, to determine which one it is, then simply check out my video on this horde, as I now have a dedicated horde video for every single horde in Days Gone. Would that easy kill 3 glitch work on the ps4?
It does indeed mate. The only format that sometimes differs due to how the rocks are mapped is the PC version of Days Gone. PS4, you're all good mate.
Funnest horde in the game. Doubt I'll ever use the easy kill locations as runnin and gunnin is more fun here.
Respect for wanting to take them out traditionally mate. I show the easy kill locations for people who struggle, but I have to admit, the explosions run is one of my favorites, as it works beautifully every time.

I've played the first one Marlon, and I've got to admit, I'm not a huge fan of playing the game. It has an amazing story, but the controls felt clunky to me.

I did this similar to death train horde as there's same truck hehe i just done this on hard oof. Also like to mention to anyone stuck on rikkis mission you need to kill this horde to progress the story as rikki isn't at base for mission even tho its tell you shes there hehe after u kill the horde she radios you i no its weird.

I thought ive no way out ran outta ammo lol bikes miles away but i was near lost lake the guy on tower has a lmg hmm do they assist? Tried it it worked!! And if theres loads and u run into marauders they will put there hate of you aside and help kill horde lol
@@SoldierXTreme I am aware of this method M, but I never showed it on any of my videos. Not many hordes around the main camps, but the Patjens Lake horde near Tuckers camp would be an interesting one. Thanks for the info my friend.
@@borislav247 your welcome B i dont know if theres a glitch or a kill switch on long boardwalk lost lake i had bout 50 behind me ran up bw turned around and the water swallowed em up then all vanished haha. I also didnt no u can get meat of crows hehe. What does ipca tech unlock? Suit like neros?(be cool to play in them) a Weapon? Equipment? I been finding them in nero checkpoints and research sites does it unlock something cool?
@@SoldierXTreme Pretty sure it unlocks a stun gun M. Not tried it myself yet as I'm a sucker for the traditional weapons.

Thankfully you don't. You simply wouldn't get credit for taking out the horde early, but, when the mission comes up in the game, if you have taken out this horde already, you will trigger the cutscene when you reach the mission area.
Oh well I’ll probably just play through how your expected to do it those napalm Molotovs look fun lol 😂

@@borislav247 I like your style of doing it I have also used the good camps to wipe them run them to the gates and they one hit the whole hoard the lake the outpost and the farm will let you take 4/5 to five of them the farm has three near by
@@bootmaker1295 Got to admit BM, not an option I ever used, but it's a fantastic way of dealing with some of the hordes, very nice indeed.

@@borislav247 I never knew you could get on those tents I always used the tunnel on the other side mine it and run them through they won't follow out the other side unless the are near you then they just walk back so you can clear it with two runs your way is definitely safer
I can't keep the horde kill bar when I travel to the first glitch kill 😢
The game is funny with the horde kill bar. Even with the endgame hordes, you sometimes get them & sometimes you don't. A strange one Ben.
It's all good. I just threw some molotov's into the crater bunker then escaped on my bike, then came back. Rinse and repeat. That worked for me.
@@benwilkinson7319 That's a bloody great way to do it mate. Hit them hard in the pit, then you have a nice piece of road to get away sharpish, nice.
Since when are freakers not able to climb up on roofs ?
Anyways I never have any problems with any of them there's hundreds of ways you can kill them that's what's so fun about it
It's a strange one with this game, as the freakers CAN climb on top of petrol stations, but other buildings they can't.

That is correct. The first area is outside the Iron Butte Ranch kill area, so any freakers you kill, will simply respawn when you head back over to the pit.
