You might be a genius because I have never before seen the muscle issue explained in bunion feet! This gives me hope.
I would love to see evidence of anyone who has actually fixed a bunion without surgery.
so then why non before after videos? anywhere?
It's a long process. I first transitioned to zero drop shoes around five years ago. I began wearing "barefoot" shoes 3 years ago. I started doing some barefoot walking last year. Now I'm working on these types of exercises and treatments. I started wearing toe spreaders. My feet have improved but slowly. I still have bunions but I noticed that when I straighten the big toe on my right foot now, the bunion almost disappears.
Yaaaas!!!! Same. Show us the before and after pictures.
Everybody says they can fix bunions Iâve NEVER seen an after picture.
I have huge bunions, 117mm and 114mm euro size 43 shoe.
It doesn't happen. Like hip replacement once the arthritis set in and the calcification starts. We never address these issues in time to fix. You'd have to start in the teens
@@KatJ3st arthritis is a dietary issue and can be reversed so....not necessarily.
Came across this video. I desperately need this. Thank you!!!

I soak my feet once a day in epsom salt or Dead Sea salt and then massage them and really work my toes. Keeps my feet flexible
Thanks for the tip đ đŠ¶đ„·
Thanks for sharing your massage technque...Well explained and well demonstrated .I"ll be doing those exercises everyday to fix my bunion. Again thank you.
Canât wait to see the results. Great job.
I could only find 4 episodes. How many were done? And did she go ahead with the surgery?
Omg!! Absolutely love the video!!! I learned a lot that will help me!!! Not to mention the cutie teaching and doing the massage, wow!!!! I definitely need that massage!!!!â€
Amazing!
Also, what is that book?
This is quite a workout and also seems to the real deal, unlike so much bunion advice on YT. Never seen this enlightening explanation of the two key muscles involved anywhere else. Thank you.
It's helping already, after just one session. I have only a mild bunion on one foot, which might be why I noticed a change simply from the massage. I felt it - more than once - a release of the muscle, almost as if the toe was clicking back into place.
AWESOME!! So good to hear you could make a change in one session! âšïž
This is true what youâre talking about, I did it and I see a slight difference. I thank this person very much for your good advice may god keep your practice thriving!!
They missed the part of the issue of arthritic changes...then overworking the joint makes things worse.

Very educational video, thank you

Great video. What book are you using?
Looking forward to how u guys go .
My pain is not at bugnon but at level of metatharses. Wondering if it's the big 45° muscle or arthritis.
Looks all good , but you must show the result after a certain period ,would there be any angular (corrective) difference.
What would be outcome must conclude.
I would try on my left foot having the worst bunion, and after some time I will be back to inform about rhe result.
Omg I just did the four toes up and big toe down and my foot got caught in a cramp! I had to massage to release.
Did she had the operation? Great video
But she taking that massage real well. I'll be holding my breath and pain right about now especially under that bunion implying that type of pressure. Kudos to her though đ
Speriamo che ritorni tutto a posto đ
Once this advanced best resolution is surgery. Been here for both feet.
I don't even have bunions but followed along with the toe exercises and boy they were challenging!
ExcellentâŠwhatâs the name of that book? Where can i purchase one.? Cheers
Please, what is the "muscle mate" mentioned around the 17:50 mark of the video, thank you.
Thanks for your help, I followed your massage technique and there was a lot of deep pain there! I love hiking and don't want to give it up so looking for a solution to fix my bunions. Ive been doing loads of toe and foot exercises with tbe last year and have veen wearing Keen shoes which have a wide toe box, but sadly i injured my Achilles recently and i have found that doing heel raises are making my bunion pain worse. What happened to thr other videos can we have an update please on Shannon's progress, I would love to know if this worked for her đ€
Shan is coming back to MMT after some time away with other ventures. She hasn't had bunion surgery. We'll do an update in the coming months đ
@@MelbourneMuscularTherapies Oh, that's great to hear she hasn't had to do surgery, will look forward to seeing an update hopefully, thanks again for your help, I've gotten my physio to work on my bunion now and I think it's actually improved only time will tell fingers crossed
Can we have something like this in uk
So thanks...!!!
Where can you get that black tool you had her step on?? Iâd like to use that!
Very nicely explained , I am also suffering with this problem but the bone growth is upper side can you please help me thanks for the video
Thank you so much!!!! It is a great feet training Routine ;-))
Without corrective surgery those pups are beyond repair. Extra wide minimalist zero drop footwear might help to reduce inflammation.
Magnetic shoe inverts took my pain awayâŁïž
Is there a therapist who does that kind of treatment in France?
Mine are not really painful but I want them gone there ugly n I have trouble walking
I followed along with the exercises on one foot and i feel so much of a difference already itâs crazy. I foot feels like it just woke up lmao
I never recommend surgery on the bunion. It affects the other bones in your body when a bone is cut.
Will this be good for a tailor bunion?
Ive started coping this on my foot and in a couple of weeks Ive got movement I didnât have, and so weâll see in a year or two if itâs looking better but I think itâs already responding
Awesome! Keep going. Consistency wins!
what is the black ball being used for her feet called?
Nice work it looks like pain, I have some that I noticed in 2020 lol Iâm trying this to c if I can recover from this bunion, some time I feel like my big toe is broken and Iâm in pain

Her bunions are bad. Ainât no amount of therapy fixing that. Surgery is a must!.
I've suffered with bunions all of my adult life, and yes it is hereditary, all the females in my family have them. I am seriously considering surgery, the pain and inflammation of the joint is horrendous and throbs like a bitch! They are so prominent now they create that shape into the shoes or boots I wear. Finding pretty summer sandals is also a nightmare for bunion sufferers, all those little strappy shoes just make the bunion stick out between them and looks so ugly. I really hate my feet because of them!
Wear minimalist shoes! Walk barefoot! Use toes spreaders!
Walking barefoot 1/2 hr day or more will help your feet. A lot of the stretches he shows you feel walking on a trail barefoot. I did it a lot this weekend. My calves were tight from all the barefoot walking.
Step 2 make sure you walk with your chin in. Itâs like a miracle for me. My gluteus medius tighten up. My abs tighten up.
BTW I walked barefoot on mountain trails by our campground.
I saw a medical tv program (Innovations In Medicine) and Ben Wehrli, Podiatric Surgeon, was on there--he has developed a new procedure to correct bunions and it sounds very promising! (He's also showing other surgeons how it's done.)
Birkenstock shoes are very wide out to the toe, make sure you get the regular width not narrow.
Right there with you. Just started today.... hoping all 7 weeks will help. Really appreciate the detailed physiology explanation.
Buy shoes with a big toe box is important.
What is the name of the black tool?
Can we see update after 1 year of excersises?

I am following this as I was up for lapiplasty 3D surgery but chickened out. Wish I could find a muscular therapist here in northern California. My podiatrist was quick to want to put me under the knife. I also purchase wide tow running/walking shoes, zero drop and can wear big toe spacers in them.
I have bunione what shall I do.
I'd like to find someone in the UK who does this kind of treatment, what should I look for, what should I ask for, what type of therapist should I see? I try to do this on myself, but I think I need someone who knows what they're doing and can get in at the right angles. Any help or advice would be great, many thanks in advance

There is Next Stage Therapy in Dublin, Ireland. I guess that you are a little closer than I am (I'm trying to find a therapist who does that procedure in France)
Did you also have to start wearing barefoot wide foot shaped shoes?
Why do people let there toes go so far over before trying things to correct them
Unions still there u can do whatever it will only relief pain but it will still be ther
What about bunuionetts
Hi, I am 70, I have bunion, and my grandma too. Could I have any hope if I practice those excercises ? I am in good health , but just a little pain on the bunion when I am tired. I don't like this pain increases with my age.
Hi! Thanks for watching.
You can definitely improve your pain and function. Some slow deep treatment into your sore and stuck spots followed by some exercises is a start. Walking and exercising barefoot naturally gets you in touch with pure biomechanics. Purchase some toe spacers too. It helps to spread the toes and realign the bones over time. Be patient. Things will get better đ

Is abduction of big toe a good exercise?
Can you tell me why the ankle and hip are crooked on every person who has a bunion?
As I understand it has to do with a deficiency in the way 1 walks, that affects the knees and from the knees the hip and so foward...
As somebody who suffers with bunions, every time he pushes on her foot, I cringe! I know how bad that hurts. I have a client who recently had the bunion surgery on one foot. She said everything was great for a couple of days and then all of a sudden her foot started hurting really badly, and she had blood coming out of the tips of her toes. She went to a physio / physical therapist. He wrapped her foot in KT tape and told her when the tape falls off, it'll be better, and it was. Apparently all of the ligaments have stretched in her foot and when the surgery was completed there was nothing to hold that stretch so they finally just collapsed. I'm guessing the blood coming out of the tip of her toes was actually some sort of pink tinged interstitial fluid. It wasn't anything I had ever heard of, has anyone here?
Do you guys have any content/suggestions for relieving foot soreness from too much walking?
Sometimes my toes/end area get so sore after running around at work from place to place.
Good shock absorbers in your shoes..
How did you get into this type of work? Iâm a massage therapist and I would absolutely LOVE to do this.
We have a course coming out very soon which will cover practically everything we know and have been developing over the years đ

Iâm only commenting because he said my birthdate in the beginning of the video. It happens quite often when Iâm watching something. Am I the only one?
Shan's feet are my feet!!!!
It looks so painful, it must be so difficult to live with.

Shan's a babe.
How about fixing a bunion and a curved second toe at the same time. Iâm miserable.
I just had 2 surgeries.there is no other way.
Besides bodywork, going barefoot and wearing toes spacers đŠ¶đŠ¶
Pointed toe stilettos should be banned forever. It's what squashing the toes together pushing the bunion out. Whoever invented this shoe should be put to shame
I have known men who donât wear high heels sporting bunions too
I've never worn a shoe higher than an inch, and I've never worn a shoe with pointy toes. But I have terrible bunions. I just don't want to have surgery. There are a lot of reasons people get bunions besides stilettos, like having wide feet in a narrow shoe world.
Had bunions all my life. Never worn high heels, never worn tight shoes.. not been able to Was in special orthopedic shoes until 15 , then told to do every single one of these exercises to prevent worsening symptoms. They take up masses of time every single day, and they didn't work. I've tried everything imaginable I've seen to deal with them , seen countless doctors, been prescribed different kids of insoles (one lot gave me stress fractures in my little toes) , different exercises , but was always told I didnt need surgery. I am now well into my 70s and can barely walk. My big toes go across my 2nd and 3rd toes at an angle of almost 90°, I have hammer toes and twisted S shaped toes where they've been pushed out of place by my big toes. Arthritis kicked in during my 40s and the joints are mostly fixed now...I have VERY little mobility in my toes, you couldn't move them like this girls. And it is so painful to walk....not the bunions themselves, they have never been painful, but the rest of my feet. I gave up on the exercises after I had my youngest daughter at 35. They had done nothing to help, but made my feet incredibly sore for hours afterwards....... I hope it works for her though.
