The media also mentions "outdated Soviet" fighter jets such as the MiG-31 and MiG-29. The MiG-29 had its first flight in 1977 and was introduced in 1983, while the MiG-31 had its first flight in 1975 and was introduced in 1981. I understand that these planes have received several upgrades during their lifespan, but Russian/Soviet planes have also undergone upgrades. More recent variants of the MiG-31 with its beyond visual range (BVR) capabilities could potentially outperform even newer variants of the F-16.
Why don’t you utilize actual military experts for such reports and military analysis? You seem to be echoing the same misleading information as other media outlets.
I think the obvious difference is numbers of aircraft that actually are up to date. The United States will always win that one.

It's quite easy. America is willing to fight this war till the last Ukrainian. By now the neocons KNOW they can't win it.
They don't want to risk F-16 fighters to Russia's missile defense systems and the other major issue is there's not enough time to train Ukrainian pilots to fight in the F-16. That takes a very long time. They are used to Soviet-era craft. Easier to give them Soviet-era craft.

To give to Ukraine. Ukrainians know how to use Soviet stuff quite well. US made stuff has all sorts of integrated systems that work with other systems no one will know about until the next war. You’ll never know what the U.S. has until you fight them because they don’t advertise.
