  • In this video we take a look at a .005" test indicator I designed and printed. We test it on the mini-lathe and talk about why it's cool and kind of useless.

    Its trash but its exactly what I need! Im doing a challenge to make a "machine shop" using nothing but natural materials I can find in the wild or trash I can find on the ground, and that goes for the tools to make the tools as well. So far I have some surface plates made from big rocks I found and a crude forge made from clay to smelt aluminum and copper. No way I can make accurate gears yet for a true dial indicator but now I can move one step closer to my goal when I make this from aluminum.
