They've been good but they've had lots of issues that turned me away from them and now it seems those issues are starting to vanish. The biggest innovations seems to be from the TV market blowing PC oleds out of the water to the point that the two best OLED monitors are actually TVs. I'm excited for the future lol

      @Blacksadify Před rokem

      Eh...once you wall mount it or put it on a monitor arm, which a lot of people will, you have to contend with this big box that houses the IO hanging down below the panel. They did this because it needed to be separate from the monitor so that it can bend and flex properly, which makes sense, but I could see it being offputting. I also think the flex feature, while cool, won't come into play often. Most people will just set it and forget it, rather than changing the curvature every time they switch from working on a spreadsheet to gaming and such.

    Corsair is making massive moves these days. Between massive upgrades in their case designs to pioneering in their monitors. The only thing I would complain about, and agree with Jay on, is the resolution for such a large screen.
    If they made this 4K in the final version, I'm a guaranteed buyer. Which is saying a lot considering that I'm taking a hard look on the Odyssey G9 (49 inch display). I will sacrifice 4 inches for a monitor that has this kind of flexibility, pun intended, that is made by one of my favorite brands. Or as a side note, if they came out with both versions, 4K and 1440, so people had at least some options in quality/price.
    Never the less, I have never been so excited about a monitor, this has truly captured my attention, and will be following on this.

I was talking to a buddy of mine the other day and I said I wouldn't be surprised if in another 5 years; Corsair will have motherboards and graphics cards as well. that way people will be able to have a complete Corsair build if they want. They already have almost every peripheral for PC's on lock and have locked their solid and reliable foot print in the market. This is an awesome idea but it'll be too pricey for awhile. Can't wait for it to be more mass produced and brought by other vendors.. imo this screen is a bit too big but it shows the curve action better so I get it. The biggest gripe is no height adjust and no vesa mount BUT if you had this on an arm, bending it would be super wonky so that's an issue with vesa. If they motorized the bend on each end that'd be cool.. I actually like having the front facing i/o because too many monitors you can't put next to each other because then one screen is always blocking access to the other's back of screen buttons without having to move it..

As for size yeah it's quite big, they could've opted for smaller like 40" especially for that resolution. My only concern with this display, other than price, is burn-in. You mentioned that there is aggressive burn-in protection but that only works if there is no activity. I don't see this providing much protection if this is being used as a productivity screen where someone is using it all day long for work. So it seems this is mostly targeted toward gamers and movie watchers.

    It's about time they started coming out with these kind of monitors. I await the day when you can buy a big screen TV/monitor in a tube and you simply unroll it. I currently use a 55" 4k120hz tv with two 32" 1440p side monitors to create my immersive setup, and this one monitor will probably be 3x the price of my whole setup. As long as we start getting some competition, the prices will come down eventually

      Yeah being able to bring a TV home on the bus, rolled up in a box, would be cool to say the least. Plus you could have portable monitors that are way more portable.
      I currently avoid coworking spaces and prefer to work at home, or in a normal office, because it's really difficult to set everything up how I need (mouse, keyboard, multiple monitors) if I'm just renting a desk. If I could fit all that kit in a backpack and set it up in a matter of minutes, that completely changes things. I could travel and work much more easily.

    That's pretty cool. I would assume due to the size the legs they would be removable due to shipping needs. If that's the case you could leave the legs uninstalled and mount it directly to your desk.

    Seeing this it's awesome but to make it even better is to put the ports that are on the back on the side so that you could still support a vesa mount, just with removable feet. Perhaps with with the front ports a little higher so that the screen could sit even lower

    This is awesome! Butt would be more exciting for me if it was a large 4k.

    Wow... It looks amazing, like it's a freaking photograph in a monitor stand.

    The 1000R curve on the Odyssey G9 is great for a sim rig, sitting very close to it is required... but very immersive to sim race on

    I would be interested to see the new type c 2.0 and if they have a 1080p and 4k variants? Plus I would be interested in seeing 2 and 3 of these linked together. Really awesome product thanks for the first look
