You can really tell that that one was genuine, Clarkson's tone _immediately_ shifted as soon as Hammond went down the dune. And as soon as he saw his friend was safe, right back to his on-camera personality.
You can always tell when the "accidents" are scripted or not. Times like the dune, the runaway caravan, or even the log brake from Top Gear were obviously unscripted and that's why they're so much more memorable.
TbH, I instantly knew the log gonna smash the Window eventually.
And Theres always a perfect placed Camera When something happends 🤗
And the times with the water thing when they were transporting fish.

I find all of the moments, no matter how scripted are funny. If you watched the newest episode (Scandi Adventure) it is pretty clear when its not scripted, they actually really care about each other.

When they are trying to stop the rv from driving away, I love how they actually help Jeremy as quick as possible
Doesn't matter how much of it is staged these three are gold together like del boy & Rodney, good solo but together it's not to be missed television
sometimes it’s staged but they can make it more natural and really make it funnier, until it doesn’t feel like its staged anymore

It’s still amazing how well Hammond recovered from the electric car accident GT he last episode of that season you see him riding a bike while falling down AMAZING
It was reported by Clarkson that in the aftermath of the Rimac accident. Doctors noticed something funny about Hammond's X-rays and they took an in depth look. It turned out that his bones didn't have cartilage but rather liquid rubber which is responsible for how he's survived and bounced back from so many accidents (at the expense of being, well, short).
