  • On Monday a billboard bigger than an Olympic-sized pool came crashing down in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar killing 16 people and more than 75 were injured. The illegal hoarding flouted several civic rules and despite being flagged at least thrice continued to stand tall. The man behind the billboard is accused in at least 23 criminal cases.

It was on police land and even the petrol pump was on police land. Can you check and hoarding was owned by a criminal.
    What more proof

    Is corruption surprising?
The Municipal Corporation is corrupt number one, the Bombay police number two.

Rail minister should have his personal share of electoral bonds available in Gbjp's kitty.
In the absence of such share, this accident happened.

    Hear, hear!
Absolutely not a single syllable wasted.
The sheer fact that city authorities didn't notice the hoarding would have been the most absurd thing said this year, but then electione are on and they were easily outdone by the PM.
The board is a Behemoth, saying that you didn't notice it is like suggesting the Great Khali is an average sized guy.
One should be grateful the Shinde government only stopped with blaming the Thakrey regime, i thought they'd somehow blame Morarji Desai for it, taking a cue from Delhi. That still begs the question- has CM Shinde or his cabinet running a side of a hatchery because clearly, one must ask, since they fought hard to put their derriere on the CM's chair, have they been hatching eggs, that they can't move and use that power for the citizens of the state ? They've had long enough, what did they do?
Then again we are now feeling what the farmers of Maharashtra are feeling, hapless, ignored, and overworked, and our lives mean nothing, absolutely nothing to the government. Ever since Maharashtra's creation, year after year, Maharashtra has paid at least 30% of the national income. What do we have to show for it? If nothing else, we're supposed to cheer when new highway projects or places of worship, airports, railway stations and other infrastructure is built in northern states. Can we at least not have things fall on our heads? Maybe a bit of maintenance for our existing stuff?
    Daresay, even reduce farmer suicides?
To use an analogy if India is a family, we pay for everyone's jewelry, we pay for their luxuries, can we at least stop the damn ceiling falling on our own heads?
Or is the demand of hardworking citizens also a demand of anti national drug mafia and all that jazz that they love to malign Mumbai with?
