This is the second lecture on Gallium I've seen today and I much enjoyed that story about the Soviet-American Gallium Experiment (SAGE for short) involving a swimming pool sized amount of Gallium (almost 60 tons of it) to capture neutrinos from the sun passing through the earth. Great lecture. Congratulations.

    Another fun video, thank you!
Funny that I’ve had gallium metal for a year now and only today made galinstan. Coincidence? I think so!

@Jesse Lucas thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.

You can't take mercury barometers onto airplanes since mercury eats away at aluminum much like gallium does. (It forms an amalgam.) I guess I'd better not carry galinstan onboard as well.

I do, too. I wish people would double check what they put on these videos, and web pages, before publishing.

My favorite is the one where he shows the discoverer of an element and says the date he discovered it was 30 years before the guy was born omg still makes me laugh

You talks about Everything Matters, and suggest people come, but don't say where you are! Where is the Exploratorium? I just came across this tonight. I never heard of you before.

The Exploratorium is a massive San Francisco Science museum filled with do-it-yourself style physical experiments and demonstrations.
If you ever travel to the west coast of the US, I highly reccommend it

Why don't you spend at least 10 min talking about uses/common chemical reactions? Honestly who cares about the spectrum esp people who arent chemists
