- About time for an original song, I think! This is my theme to Fiery Fissure, the newest world created for BK4: Quest 4 Kurkoins, by @Kurko_Games ! 🌋🧩🔥
This is the first time I've used my own original melody for the main theme of a world! I'm ridiculously happy with how it came out in the end, too 👍
With the limits of BK's soundfont, and specifically the lack of a few of the Hailfire Peaks instruments, I wanted to push towards a funkier, groovy-er style of song - of course the whole thing ended up being one big love letter to Hailfire, so I couldn't resist adding a few direct nods with it's melody still 🌋😎

Hailfire Peaks Lava Side is probably my favorite track from Banjo-Tooie, so anything that takes cues from it is something I'm happy to listen to.

It's honestly so weird to hear a Hailfire Leitmotif while watching Banjo-Kazooie gameplay... it honestly makes me wish the whole thing was just made in Banjo-Tooie's framework (mostly for the QoL changes like some BK moves getting upgraded)... as for the song itself, I'm tempted to save it into my playlist, and I don't do that with *any* song, y'know...

And yeahh sadly there are no tools to modify Banjo-Tooie, so we make do with what we have - hopefully one day we'll get some Tooie stuff 💪

Personally I use a program called Sekaiju for my BK midi stuff, but there are far better options out there - you can pretty much use any DAW as long as it can use the BK soundfont!
