Great video Professor, down to earth something we can relate to, great content, thanks
Thanks!
I had a 1986 Fleetwood Brougham in 1999. It was like riding on a cloud and that huge AC compressor helped it blow literal frosty cold air on a 95 degree Florida summer day. I miss that beautiful blue old Caddy!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Thanks for sharing and you’re welcome!
My grandma had that same ‘86 fleetwood but in silver with red velvet interior…..i remember her purposely setting out for that velvet cause she didnt want hot sticky leather in the summer and cold hard leather in the winter!!! ….she passed around 3 yrs ago…i wanted to keep her car but my wife wasnt havin any of it seeing how we already have 7 cars
"the vulgarities of aggressive motoring" ..... I love it!!
Haha
Growing up, we had an oldsmobile toranado that was a big v8 front wheel drive, two door vehicle. It was huge and would roast the front tires effortlessly.
You are such a natural teacher and public speaker. You must write scripts for every show? Everything you say when speaking to the camera , ur vocabulary, and segment topics are too perfect to be straight off the dome. Great job man , I like ur little skits or whatever visual podcast I guess
I miss my moms GTP 40th Grand Prix and her 04 Mach 1 Mustang
😮
"Lifted Running Shoes" Omg so true.
WOW, great video. Blast from the past with than early 80s Caddi. My grandparents had them to include diesel, V8-6-4 and 85 Seville, the slantback; then they switched over to Mercedes in 1987
OJ is amazingly smooth on video.
1981 Grand Wagoneer, used to take that on trips from Montana to Connecticut to Florida. That truck was a beast, it even survived after a rusty exhaust came off the car in front of us and impaled the radiator. Threw a new radiator in and it kept on rolling
I agree. A well-maintained older car is automatically cool.
😎
Crazy to see it in that mint of condition. Especially bc of the model like OJ said.
1965 Buick Electra 225 convertible. My dad founded in a field and brought it back to life.. baby metallic blue, white top, 425 Wildcat . My dad loved the car! He was diagnosed with cancer in 2000. He was very close to the end when we realized he and the Buick Electra were missing.. he was very sick and very weak at the time. Believe it or not, he had taken the car on a drive to a nearby town and had Boise Muffler in Boise Idaho install a dual exhaust for him. Even during his worst days he still found solace in that car! Unfortunately, after my father passed, there was very little insurance, so my mother put the car for sale.. unfortunately, as always, the guy who bought the car smelled blood in the water and knew she was desperate . He walked away with my dad's pride and joy for 2750. The car was not in perfect condition but it was beautiful the transmission had been completely rebuilt, had a brand new motor in it, new paint, new tires and new exhaust. Certain types of people will take advantage of anybody in any situation no matter how gross and despicable their actions are! I always wished I would come across my father's beloved car and buy it back.. from what I can find out, the guy took the car directly to the auction and ended up selling it for $15,000 the following month..
What a trip down memory lane 😮
#neverforget
When I was in my early twenties I worked on a boat load of them and Toronado’s. Easiest stuff to wrench on and if you lived where there was no emissions you could run a test pipe and eliminate the cat.
Nice!
That is such a clean example of the best of Cadillac. Very well taken care of.
It’s definitely a gem 💎
My first car was a used 1980 Buick Regal. It was like driving a couch. I miss it.
Watching these 2 guys go over this car is like me looking at a model T. 😅
1981 was the only year for V8-6-4
When the air shocks blow the ride is terrible.
There are no springs in the front, just shocks
The oil pan is ceramic. It was used for 1 year. I cracked mine and it looks months to find a replacement.
The 3 speed transmission is bullet proof, but the car needed an overdrive.
This is such a cool car, I would actually love one. 👍🏻
Thanks for the amazing video and a bit of nostalgia. I drove similar cars owned by family friends when I was young and my first car was a 1981 Buick Electra, the luxury Buick big car, with a 307 V8 and RWD. I could feel the knobs for seat movement and the plush couch- like seats. Powerhouses they were not! I sold mine in college because it was too much grandpa car for my liking.
Thanks for sharing your story!
Final/second thought. Love the variety of content (vehicles) BUT maintaining the same level of enthusiasm.
Thanks!
Beautiful car! 👍👍
Dead on accurate with the state of colors and originality of vehicles these days. I'm not a dodge fan, but they have some fun colors on their performance lines
I drove one of these from L.A. to D.C in 1984. It was comfortable and sexy considering I was only 23😄. I picked up a woman in Oklahoma City and she came all the way back east with me. She was 10 years older and 🔥 hot!!!.
haha good times
The '80-'81 Eldorado with the 368 is a very nice car if it was taken care of.
Late father had an 85 Eldorado. Great style but horrible engine ( HT4100 ). He was bad with servicing vehicles so it developed a burned exhaust valve. I kept it minty fresh when I was driving it.
If I had one now, I'd LS swap it and make a fast sleeper out of it.
Love the videos fmu!
Thanks! We’re gonna keep em coming!
Cool car! There are a couple for sale at a dealer in northern IL. BTW , it's pronounced Bee-uh-RÌTZ with a gentle roll of the "r". It's a French city.
Ur videos are amazing
Thanks!
The cruise control will not engage if the check engine light is on.
OMG that car is squeakkkkkky clean! 🧼
Scrub a dub dub 🧽
E63 because AMG!
I will say ford did this with the early 2000s Taurus … and the sho was fire with that 3.9L I think it was V8 … they screamed
OMG it’d be epic if you did an exhaust on that.
hmmmm...
That’s a cool ass car.
Dont forget to interact with the viewers. As in, make them want to comment about something u ask or said.
((I comment bc i know it helps the algorithm))
Shit that is very clean
🧼
That's clean ...
Isn’t it?!
I have a 1987 Lincoln Town car that is a rust bucket... We live in GA so that should tell you something about an IL car that isn't a rust bucket.
@@FluidMotorUnion Quick question are all of the exhaust systems you guys build one offs? Or do you have a template and can build something that will fit a make and a model and then just install it after the system is completed?

@_illtal depends on the demand. We have more than a few jigs.
When I tell people we’re a small business, I mean it, we don’t have a budget to invest in having product sit on shelves, so we develop that way. Hoping that the CZcams exposure will allow us into a place where we can really push our craft, and make things people really love in an efficient manner, but as of now it’s 95% one-offs.
Cool car🇺🇸🇩🇰🏁😎
We think so too!
😊
Those are not air bag shocks. Those are load leveling shocks. Yikes take your Cadillac to someone who knows what they are working on. The owner had better get cozy with salvage yards for parts.
I’d be more worried about the guy who skips the next sentence where I say exactly that before they make a comment…😜
No way that car is from Illinois.
:)
My uncle had one that looked like that but it had a diesel engine in it?
The diesel caddy’s are very rare but they are out there…..i would love to have one myself…particularly one of the ‘76-‘78 sevilles or a ‘80-‘84 big body full size rwd fleetwood ….then i would rip out the anemic oil burner and drop a 408” LS stroker in it!!!!….only cause i live in commiefornia…..if i was in any other state id have a LS swapped late 70s seville or early 80s fleetwood……someday when i escape this liberal utopia/nightmare!!!!
Algorithm comment 👍
Ty Ty
Does OJ and his team know this history off hand or are you doing hours of homework during the production of these videos?
a little bit of both LOL
