My first new car was a white 1978 Eldorado - still one of the most-beautiful cars I've ever seen. So sleek and elegant! The red leather interior was so luxurious! When it was 1 1/2 years old, I got hit in the back end while sitting at a red light, and the car was totaled. I just wish I would have saved the horn.

This detail job is among my favorites. I would love to see Larry come across a 1976 Bicentennial edition of the Eldorado, which came in a rag-top version, and only 200 were made. I've been detailing vehicles since the late 1960's, and Larry has changed everything with his custom-formulated products and tools. I'm spending a lot less time scrubbing and cleaning, which at my age and current health, is a blessing and has allowed me to continue my passion of detailing. Thank you for that Larry. Being a former Chemist, I am beyond impressed with Larry's drive and ambition to formulate products that are very pure and work VERY well. I really enjoy using his products and of course, learning from his videos.

My dad had this same car. It was so PLUSH. It rode like silk. We had to run to the store on Thanksgiving day of 1981, it was a fuzz icy, as we were approaching a store a woman pulled out in a Ford Fairmont Wagon, spun twice and hit us and knocked us into an 8 foot deep ditch. Crunched the front end, game over. It was supposed to be my graduation present. My favorite Eldorado is the 1979 with the 350 engine. I had a cotillion white one with buckskin interior. It handled great, heat was hot after two minutes and the AC was ice cold. Great car.

In 1990 @took the 70 2 dr white w/ black vinal top & interior with me . I lived in Miami Beach and a man always asked me if l wanted to sell my car as it was a eye turner in perfect condition with only 75k miles. I kept refusing one day to my Surprise my car was gone..
Stolen from in front of my apt building not to be found
It must have gotten shipped on a boat over seas.😢 l replaced it years later with a 1991 triple white Brougham with true and vogue and wire wheels. People always asked me if l wanted to sell it . And l refused as this one had 60k miles l was 2nd owner. I was coming home and broke a belt so the car just slowed down slower and slower till it stopped on the side of the turnpike. So l got out and had no phone but someone took me home so l could get my husband and some help when l returned to get the car about a hour later it was gone . I went to the hwy dept and they said they didn't tow it and turnpike is private property only hwy can order a tow truck or the owner of the car. So they reported it stolen. Even aft
2 yrs the Vin was never retitled. I didn't want that to happen again. So l found a low mile Buick la Sabre w40k it was a 12/2004 car sold in 12/2005 titled in 1/2006. l bought it in 2010 from a girl who inherited it from her grandmother and she drove a Mazda miata.
She asked $7500- l paid $4000. I think l got a good deal on a 4 yr old car that now has 81,000k l still own it. No rust, no accidents, and when people ask me if l want to sell it . I put my steering wheel lock on it .
Even when l go into the gas stations..Call me paranoid 😅😮😮 l have learned my lessons. Be aware of admirers of your whips....

I forgot to add this statement that my Dad always said as he was a truly devoted Cadillac driver till the day he died.
"There is Nothing like the Feel of a Wheel of a Cadillac " he would say & l would agree. I miss my caddy.....give a thumbs up if you agree...thanks

One of my favorite Cadillacs of all time. My parents had one in the early 80s when I was younger. I remember I begged them to save it for me until I was 16 lol. Of course it was a daily and had high mileage back then, so it didn't make it to 1995. Love the video!!

Greetings from Canada. Superb job. My brother and I grew up in the 70's...my dad had a four door Lincoln, four door New Yorker and a 1958 Cadillac Sedan de Ville. We have fond memories of driving the New Yorker, hardtop, windows all down, 440 cu inch motor, Dove Grey with light grey interior. Dad has long since passed, as have those cars...but the memories stay forever.

Tip for decomposing under-bonnet protectors, remove and paint them with some black rattle-can paint. End up looking great and it sticks everything back together. All without hurting the performance.

I have been detailing cars longer than Larry and before all these high tech products were ever conceived, we used Comet and brush to clean white vinyl tops at the Okds-Cadillac dealer I worked at in the 70s.

I owned a 72 convertible in 1985. Also set in a barn for years. The car was huge! We use to go to a drive in theater with 4 couples comfortably seated. I loved the car but sold when in the Navy.

Nothing beats white vinyl on red.
Reminds me of my grandfather's 75 Ford Fairlane 500 ZF. That was metallic ruby with a white vinyl top.
That top was murder to keep clean but when she was cleaned, she attracted crowds in the parking lots.

I love Cadillacs. I am partial to a 1956 Eldorado Seville, partly because I have one. First year for the Seville, vinyl tops, electric antenna, electric trunk release and wind down. Red with gold grille and wheels. This is one beautiful Eldorado, would look good next to my 75 Coupe DeVille!
