I used the code and am giving it a try! Even at full price it's less than I spend going out to lunch each day at work and this seems much healthier and better for me. Excited to try it when I get my first package!
I'm also really glad you use PPE when working on vehicles. No other channel I've seen people actually protecting their health and longevity/functionality. Very smart, and good for you setting a proper example.
What is PPE
@@KINGVONFRM063personal protective equipment
@@KINGVONFRM063 personal protective equipment as said before me, basically like the respirator mask, gloves, even a hazmat suit
It helps that he does this professionally as a career. I feel most other channels you see are amateurs. Very skilled, but still amateurs nonetheless.
Yeah makes sense for Larry. He’s around these chemicals and ingredients every day. Cant be good for the long term, very smart of him to gear up in PPE
Late to the party but all you do with cars, the way you teach us, and work with people- and now a Detroit connection! I also purchase your products, all the real deal. Thanks Larry.
Thanks for the support!
When you are in the middle of the Venn diagram of a person that religiously watches Larry and also is a monthly donator to WDET. Did not expect to see my favorite NPR station on AMMO this week, but what a wonderful surprise! Car looks fantastic, need to go get my raffle ticket!
Thank you for your generosity to WDET. This is such an amazing project -- AMMO is amazing and now a part of "Horace", this Dodge's story!
Super cool car and it looks like a million bucks!! Thanks for bringing us, Larry!
Larry, what an amazing preservation of a piece of automotive history!! You truly are a car detailing genius!!!! Love your videos!!
Thank you kindly
You have some of the most amazing back stories of car ownership. I enjoy watching and learning about the history of the cars being detailed.
Happy Father's Day Larry! This is so freaking cool. If that car could talk. The stories it would tell.
Fantastic work, Larry! And top man for helping out the charity.
Dude you are the restoration whisperer. Nice clean up.
I just love the old single stage paint and how well you can bring it up
You really are the master Larry 👍👍👍🇦🇺
Your charity jobs are absolutely amazing! Keep up the great work.
Happy Father's day
Gracias papi
Gracias, saludos desde Costa Rica 🇨🇷✌🏻

I stumbled onto this episode just now and it brings joy seeing a vintage Dodge from the 60's being preserved. this one was in very good survivor mode for a convertible from the rust belt? Anyway, It brings back memories of my parents old Dodge 330 station wagon with the slant six. It was the base trim so had the torque flite transmission with pushbutton controls.
Anyway, like this 880, it had AC, AM pushbutton radio, roof racks, wind deflectors on the D pillars, and full wheel covers. It was white with blue interior like this one, and came with only 2 lap belts standard, driver and front passenger, my late father added belts for the rest of the positions, front and back and had the dealer install them as we knew we'd need a new car to drove all the way across the country from Jacksonville FL to Washington State, and McChord AFB that year.
We end up moving out of this area in 1967 to Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, then to Jacksonville while he did his tour of Vietnam in 1968-69 and was asked where he'd wanted to retire, back to McChord and UP, which is what we did, so the wagon made the trip across the country twice.
We'd ended up keeping the car until 1977 and sold it then with about 145K miles on it and a second transmission, still running, though not great by then.
Due to that car, I have developed a soft spot for Chrysler products since then as we have had several other dodges/plymouths since then and I even had a 1968 Newport, never mind a base pillared 4 door for my first car in HS in the early 80's.
Both my grandmother's 2 door base 330 and our wagon were white with blue interiors, hers stayed white but we repainted our car in 1968 in a sky blue and it's now one of my top colors for a car.
Wow what a history, full respect ✊
Lovely job
Stunning!!! Super cool ride! My brother had a 1961 Valient. It had the push button automatic! But no park lever.
You make cleaning that back window so easy to clean. Great work.
Fascinating story behind this one, and immaculate work as always!
Excellent restoration man, ready to sell at an auction or go to a classic car show lol
AMMO videos feel like Sunday breakfast with that guru grandpa that taught you everything. yes, I just called you old. Happy Father's Day Larry ❤
Always look forward to new AMMO NYC vids! Super informative and entertaining. Question: What are your thoughts on clay mitts instead of clay bars? I've always used the bars but recently bought a mitt and was surprised and pleased to see it seemed to do the job much more quickly and efficiently. Any downside?
Great video Larry!
One of the best so far imo.
I really enjoy your channel, especially when you work on older cars like this Dodge.
LOVE your video, my mom owned a Dodge with those pushbutton gears. I don't remember what year the car was, but around 1962, I think. Her license plate was BAT....so my dad called it her batmobile.
You've worked on some super pricey cars, but the history on this one is priceless. Glad you got to have the experience. Thanks for sharing!
My grandfather had one of these because I remember standing in front of the huge steering wheel and pressing those drive buttons back in 70's and we couldn't figure out what car it was and know I now, can't wait to send car info to my dad.
Nice work, Happy Father's Day Larry!
Great work and contant as always Larry love it keep it up ❤
I'm a member of Michigan Pubic Radio and this makes my soul smile. Hope to be able to get some of those tickets!
I love the random car-facts sprinkled through the video.
Wow another great job. Love your dinner plate!
Dude I bought my dream car (997.2 Turbo S) around the same time and I’ve already put 8,000 miles on it. Never gets old!
Awesome as always, Larry! Why there was no chemical decon needed? Something like iron remover on it… I seems like had rust all over the vehicle. Thanks!
At first I was like “meh,” but once you cleaned her up, that car was sick!!
Larry, You are truly a master magician of automotive protection! Being able to be a part of your videos is a gift I look forward to every week!
Well well... Such praise
Cannot wait to try some of these tips and tricks when I get my '63 back from the shop!
Always fun to watch your video . And inspiring!
Thank you! I was thinking during the drive that the Dodge Family cruised around in this thing back in the day with their name on the front of the car. Wild! Honored to have been able to preserve this one.
Happy daddy's day Larry!!! That car is absolutely dope! Exceptional job as always. You're still the Master Jedi of auto detailing. I really enjoy your content. You've inspired me to follow my love for cars and start a detailing business of my own. It's starting to get attention. Customer's love the quality and real attention to detail. It's a part-time gig for now. My current career is in human resources and business development and marketing, so I will be using these skills to make it work 💪
Again, thank you so much for what you do. You have a loyal subscriber here 😂👍
I always enjoy your videos. Love to see your passion and such care with these vehicles!!
Your back with the 90s🎉🎉
Hey Larry, just love your videos! Greets from Germany
Loved the *look here* indication on the video!
Dang, that's a cool story! I hope it goes to a nice home.
woah that's crazy... I'm from metro Detroit and heard about this auction. Small world!
What a cool story! Beautiful car!
That bright work came out really good! Always my favorite part on cars like this.
Love these videos!
That was truly amazing. It just proves that it doesn't have to be perfect to be... perfect.
Lets go!!!
That car should be in a museum with it being historical significance to Mr dodge owning it
LITERALLY: Who is a better detailer than LARRY?
If I don't get an answer, Larry Kosilla - You are the Greatest Detailer Of All Time.
🤩
Wow!!! A great piece of history in that car!! Congratulations on your channel, I enjoy your videos a lot, seeing the transformation in restoring in amazing!!
Another awesome transformation and story! The best storytelling detailer out there.
I feel like the easier analogy for the "mow down technique" would probably be, lawnmowing? lol
But seriously, I feel like it's the easiest comparison. If you have super overgrown grass you raise the deck up a little bit and go over everything to knock it down to a more manageable length even if it's a bit rough and then come back and do your finish mow at your final height and it's much nicer and more even.
Looks terrific! I'd also say be careful when doing those plastic rear windows because as they age sometimes they get not only yellow and brown but also can get brittle.
is there going to be a GT40 video coing soon?...
it caught my eye in the background
So cool. What a great job. Great content, and what a history on that car.
What a project! Car looks almost new (yes, I can remember when this car was new).
Awesome car for sure.
I need a crossover with Derek from Vice Grip Garage reviving an old barn find and driving it to you for a cleanup and detail.
Hello there, I was wondering if you had tried dry ice blasting on the carpet. Dennis Collins has been having great success in preserving and restoring carpets with it. If you haven't, might be worth it to contact him and ask him about the procedure.
Great job as always. Go Bills!!!!
They don't make em like that anymore. Beautiful restoration. ❤
3:19 taht car is pretty well gone 😂
You should make a table out of all historic things you find
How do you avoid e.g. mold or rust behind the door panels afterwards? With all that water used inside the car, do you dehumidify it somehow in the end off camera?
Happy Fathers Day to everyone!
I’ve got one question pertaining to the wash process…
What is the correct ratio of water to foam/brute that I am to put in the foam gun? I’ve been testing over the past few washes but never get it just right. Thanks.
Great job!
Well done!🎉🎉🎉
Great video. What type of respirator is that?
The switches on those make me want to flip everything.
Another amazing piece of American automotive history. Fantastic job Larry. And Happy Father's Day!
what a beautiful car!
Wow that looks good. You can keep your $100,000 Porsche golf cart, I'll take this car every day of the week.
I'm from Sweden and not into classic American cars at all so color me surprised when it turns out this is one of my favorite videos of yours, Larry. What a fascinating story and history behind it. And, as always - the detail itself is on point.
Awesome detail
They’re gonna be so proud a this
Keep your hustle strong
One of the coolest steering wheels ive ever seen
Amazing as always! So glad to see you continuing to take on sponsors for the video! You rock Larry, still hope to meet you someday! - Paul
I would love to see the customer reactions.
The interior color is very nice
You're an artist!
Brilliant video Larry,
Any chance of a motorcycle video? 30 years in this trade, I've still yet to see someone do a motorcycle.
Kind regards from 🇬🇧
Yes, I’ve posted a few. Recently did a Honda CBR600RR. Check it out :)
The GT in the background though
That is awesome Larry, I have and daily drive the same car, The Custom 880 here as you see is a 2 door convertible variant, they were the rarest with the "Golden year" anniversary edition version of the 880.
Mine is a 4-door hardtop, but still the dashing car it looks like from the vid, the odds of seeing it being detailed is bonkers, great work as always.
Whoever wins that car has their work cutout for them, parts availability for those Chrysler C body's have been far and few.
(C body is a full size car body type)
C body's have always been the lesser mopars compared to the Charger/Valiant/Monaco/Newport/Polara, just different from the pack, that's why i like the Chrysler C bodies. stands apart from the crowd if you will.
Apologies if this all sounds condescending, Just glad to see another 880 around on the road, and detailed by the one and only Larry K.
Watching this while doing a TON of dishes is something else man thank you for accompanying me ..
>preservative approach
>takes the paint away
I hope to see a Ford GT video soon after spotting the car in the back 👀
Hey a 64 Dodge 880 convertible was rare. Secondly, if it has PW and AC, very rare. Great looking car. Oh man I wish I could have had a chance to win this! BTW 1964 last year push button trans.
What makes this model even more special was the fact that on 1962, Chrysler downsized its cars based on a rumors GM was doing same. They were wrong and sales suffered. The 880 was rushed in as a true full sized car.
Was that a build sheet under the back seat bottom? I saw it when you removed it from the car.
Surely Dodge would want to buy this piece of their company’s history
Sounds like a cursed car.. dont buy it for anyone so u dont die 😂
Its a great but sad story
Interesting story and video. Why didn't you foam pad the inside of the rear window? It would have made even more of an improvement.
Awesome man
Where do you get your cars from?
Larry, just wondered if you had ever considered using jeweller's rouge on badly scratched or dull metalwork?
Whats a jeweller's rouge? No one responded so now I'm curious! 🤔
I hope someone gives her a full restoration.
What happened to the barn find Ford GT? I was delaying watching that and now it's gone?
Another Flash Back to back in the "DAY". Nice Old Piece of "HISTORY" Right there! And.... To have been Owned by the DODGE BROS???? Unbelievable to be sure. Nice Job "L"....
They definitely knew how to make them back in the day!!
Great car! 👍
