    Larry, you have got to wear goggles or some protective eye wear when cleaning with your power washer and steamer, especially after you have scrubbed the extremely dirty, nasty, and infested with poop surfaces. The tiny dirt and bacteria infested water droplets can get into your eyes. Safety first! Amazing work, as usual.

    I bought one of these gorgeous machines for my wife in 1983. We had 3 young kids, they loved scrambling into the dark blue 124 and being dropped off at school or kindergarten. I think the upholstery was hounds tooth inlay. Absolute Italian style from design, twin overhead 1800 cc 4 cylinder internal combustion motor and that cackle in the exhaust. The doors were super heavy to open and close, it was a joy to own. Greetings from New Zealand

    Unfortunately, I owned a '79 Fiat, and while it was fun and zippy it was a huge money pit! It ate parts non stop from alternators / regulators to clutches to exhaust to brakes, etc. Anything you can think of! Along with cheap plastic door handles and such that snap off....

    • @RichHall1
      @RichHall1 Před rokem

      That’s exactly what I was thinking too. While he got it pretty clean looking, just about every single thing on that car would need to be replaced. I restored my 1980 Fiat 2000 and all that stuff he did like cleaning the top and whatnot really meant nothing as you know that would all be dry rotted and worthless. Not to mention all the underside rust. Unless that owner plans on completely swapping out the entire suspension, brake system, all hoses, getting the heater core swapped, and completely pulling the engine to get new timing belt and freeze plugs, not to mention replacing the rocket panels and just about every body panel, it’s just a really nice junk yard car that isn’t even really worth parting out except the dash. All clean as it sits, it’s a thousand dollar car if that with what it would need to be a daily driver.

    You definitely need to add/secure a winch on the front inside wall of that trailer. Will save a lot of headaches for future vehicles. Then you could have backed the trailer to the garage, open trailer, hooked vehicle up to winch, and winched it completely inside the enclosed trailer. Phenomenal job by the way. One of the things i most like about your channel compared to other detailing channels, is your musical taste. The background music really means a lot to me!

    Loved the edit during the wheel cleaning (from 7:49 ) with no background music, just the sound of cleaning. Sorta felt like an asmr video!

    You can just hear the owners disbelief when he saw how beautiful his car looks at the end. He definitely did not expect it to look close to being brand new!
    Great job as always.

    My uncle had one of these. You are amazing in your level of detail. I know that every car has a story, but it's sad when I see these cars that looks like they were near perfect when parked and the damage from rust and vermin is just sad in a way that it never got driven when it was new.. it's a beautiful car

    In 1984 I bought my first car, a 1972 124 in blue. That was before I knew anything about car maintenance or detailing. Wish I still had it. I think the thing I love the most was the real wood for the dashboard. Thanks for bringing back some memories!

    Love seeing these old classic cars get a second life. My uncle had old Fiat's and Alpha's back in the 80's.
    They were notorious for rust under the doors. I live in the tropics so rust was always a battle.
    Great videos

    Back in 80s I had a 74 Fiat x19 split bumper. My buddy had the 80 Fiat 2000. We would spend Saturday's ripping through the canyons in SoCal. Great video!

    i have a 1981 Fiat spider that was originally this same color. It was resprayed red really poorly. I was going to repaint it in red, but well. But after seeing how good this looks I might have to return it to it's original color... So happy this video finally came out! Thank you for helping bring it back to life.

    I love these cars, owned a 1982 once, have driven several, and almost bought another one, but they ALL have the same flaw. I was waiting to see it throughout the entire video, and then right around 26:50....top down shot and YEP, there it is. Broken frame on the driver's seat back on the right side, puts a bit of a twist in the seat back. I even had this fixed on mine, welded the frame, and it happened again. What happens to them is they break when the driver reaches back behind them to grab the convertible top handle to raise it back up, and it puts too much stress on the seat frame. It's such a shame, because they are really cool cars otherwise.
