Originally released in August 2013, Europa Universalis IV has opened a window into the past, challenging players to rewrite the history of the early modern world, taking them from Renaissance to Revolution as any nation or culture in the world. A life-changing game for me. Made more appreciate history even more, and I always have a lot of fun playing it to create the wildest alternate history

Seeing imperator rome and Victoria 3, i woudn't be excited for eu5. I would advise paradox next game they start developing, they actually finish and then add DLC's

4,5k hours since 2k14. Don't regret a minute.
When map painting and bordergore simulator reached 10 years of age it brought a tear to my eye (I lost my other one because of bordergore)
My interest in history increased a thousandfold from this game. Thanks paradox for all the fun!

I love this series, have been playing since the first game back in 2000. However, 10 years is an incredibly long time to keep updating an existing game rather than bring out a new updated sequel. EU IV is really showing it's age now.

I have been playing this game on and off since its release and seeing how much it's improved has been a great experience. You can really tell how much love and care has been put into and I will be almost sad to stop playing it when EU5 comes out. So thank you paradox for this great game!
Did they announce an Eu5 or do people just assume they're making it?
@@BXMKE Well they confirmed that they are going to only be releasing a couple of more DLCs and then EU4 is finished. So of course they will announce EU5 soon, it's not like they will just stop supporting one of their main games.

Ive got into this game some years ago, and I've seen how much love the community has for it.
I myself really like it, but I love the time the game takes place way more. The renaissance and barroque, and rococo are so dynamic and changing, and so much symbolism europe uses till this day was sprung from it. Lot of fascinating stories too. Just a shame the game isn't more visual and artistic, with at least a tiny bit of characters like Vic3, cuz otherwise it's an awesome game.

There are two types of EU4 players; ones that like to paint the map and ones that wanna play more a tall, less expansive approach. I'm the latter. Be awesome to have two separate mission trees for each nation that players can choose to cater to their playing style. But the mission trees that's been released since Leviathan have been fun and awesome nonetheless.

Depends on your taste honestly, for normie femboys it is City Skylines. For scifi weebs it is Stellaris. For medieval geeks its CK2/3. For wehraboos, racists, and WW2 enthusiats its HOI4. For base-dwelling obese and masochists it is EU4. For Romaboos it is Imperator Rome. So pick your poison 😅😅

Probably the best Paradox grand strategy, but please stop milking it, it just ruins the game's performance. It is almost impossible to play at speed 5 these days, so poorly optimized.
