    What I really like about paradox is there's 5 gov reforms that allows you to raize a provinces (horde, mongol horde, holy horde, sich rada and a pirate one) and each and every one of them have a description that raizing would give you horde unity

    The only thing that this version miss out on that I always see people playing Sich Rada do is taking Aristocratic ideas for extra Cavalry Combat Ability, but I feel like it might even be suboptimal because of diminishing returns at that point.

    theres a few more things to this: you can declare war and take livonia / teutonic order while you wait for the disaster, by being at war you do also pause the diaster so its +0 per month, if you were to time it right you could probably get 50 provinces from the start by taking as much land as fast as possible before triggering the disaster. My run ended up triggering in 1457 which might be a bit late but also i would like to add that your government reforms also carry over

    Hi, I really enjoyed your video and I'm interested in playing as a cossack revolter!
    I have a couple of questions though:
    1. Is there any reaon to play as Lithuania specifically? Would Muscovy work just as fine? It would be easier to form Russia as a cossack revolter from Muscovy I think. Muscovy also starts with steppe land (kasimov), and you can easily expand into Novgorod to grab more provinces for the cossack revolter as muscovy.
    2. Is there any reason to go for the cossack revolt immediately at game start? If you wait until admin tech 5, could you grab a free idea set? Also, if you expand a lot and take 100 provinces (for example), wouldn't it make you a lot bigger when you spawn your cossacks?
    3. Related to the 2nd question, if you trigger the cossack breakaway event while you have a bunch of recently conquered uncored land, and you inherit that uncored land, do you get free cores there? In that case you could go massively in debt and expand everywhere to grab a bunch of provinces, then trigger the disaster to grab as mang provinces for your cossacks as possible?

    • @thestudentYT
      @thestudentYT  Před 8 měsíci +1

      1. You can play as any nation that had the cossacks estate and at least 10 Provinces (for the Influence) But I think Lithuania is the easiest one, but you can test it out as moscovy if you want of course...
      2.+3. Sure you could do it later but the first Idea doesn't matter because the Ai will automatically fill 2 idea slots on tech 5 I think which will probably be some random Defensiv Idea or something that you anyways don't want and have to abandon after that...
      And then yes you can go crazy and conquer Provinces but keep in mind that the earlier you become the cossacks the earlier you can raze and build up your country because conquering as the cossacks is way more efficient than as Lithuania.
      So you can try it out but I am pretty sure that you will feel much weeker than with my time plan :)

    *Lithuania -> Zaporozhie -> Ruthenia -> Poland -> Lithuanian-Polish-Commonwealth (Military Hegemon)

    Doing this with poland would also be an idea, because you can decline the Jagiellonian union and get a 6/6/6 ruler that will allow you to rush tech 5 ASAP for a free idea group. You can also grab tech 4 super quick and grab a bunch of provinces everywhere.
    The problem is that poland has such high noble crownland share and you can't reduce it, so your revolter state might not be as big.

    I think in this and also zaparozhies case you NEED to form poland for ideas/missions and winged hussars which will further buff your cav even more. but even though zaparozhie is harder/weaker start it is still I think the better start for stronger MILITARY (not economically because you start with 3 provinces that are extremely low dev and plus you have to break free and build army from 0) cuz you have access to aristocratic idea (ari->infl->horde->flex->quality +poland ideas for 150%+ cav combat ability) which with influence policy literally makes your army invincible.
    One of the many things I learned from my 4k+ hours is that if you can stack modifiers stack them as much as you can. I have played many OP Mil focus nations but noone of them could possibly 1v4 russia + otto + emperor bohemia + austria-hungary on VH difficulty.
    P.S I know it is possible to win unwinnable wars even as 10X smaller nation on VH but I am not florryworry and in that 1v4 case i was just brute forcing and just winning every single combat battles agains 20X bigger armies.

    Basically just build 40 units as lithuania, put 1 unit in every province, give all land to zap and only keep your capital, then attack them with a no cb 4 times and full annex before the coalition kills you.
    If you now release Zaporozhie and play as them, they own 99% of Liths land and the coalition will force release you from lithuania.

      @mrmonokel2335 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@thestudentYT Just pointing that option out. The cossack option is easier to pull off, the Zaporozhie way has its upsides too tho - one of them being that vassals you release get money in proportion to the amount of released land. So if you give them 99% of your land, they will get 99% of the money Lithuania had at the time of release.
      Aka, you can have up to 1.5k ducats for the fresh start in 1450. Of course, the downside is that you start with 50% autonomy (25% after reducing it) and -3 stab, but the cash makes up for it. Both are viable options.
      PS: And after checking, Zaporozhie gets the Ruthenian mission tree right away whilst the cossacks only get the generic missions. So imo this is a "safe vs aggressive" type of choice. Both have their up and downs, neither of them is perfect or better than the other.

      You can also always change to noble Elite Reform, take Aristo Ideas and then switch back to Sich Rada for only 100 Reformprogress

      there is a tedious work around. Hit the save button, without unpausing Alt-F4 and crash the game. When you re-load, you load the autosave version of the save instead of the actual save. You can keep doing that and you'll just get more and more auto saves.

    Fun fact about if you play non-iron man mode:
    If there is an event requiring you click a button to get the effects, but you switch to a new tag before clicking any of the event's decision. Then the new tag will get the benifits of that decision instead of the tag that originally triggered it.
    So I wonder if it's possible to combine the 1st mission of the muscovite mission tree (the one that let's you choose between permanent claims vs CCR and regular claims) with the cossack break away nation.
    Basically click the mission right before the month tick for Cossack nation event fires, then choose between the mission event's options after switching to the cossack nation.

    i saw the video twice, first when it came out and now as im testing it. Can you please elaborate and enlighten the people how broken this one button is in there goverment mechanic? Raise Cossack Host is the militeristic goverment interaction that gives you an full standing army of cossack regiments easily going over there forcelimit at 100% Moral with no cost whatsoever, no recruitmentcost, no manpowercost and instantely recruted. this button is even clickable while at war. a rebelbomb the enemy will lose and that is not a rebelarmy but your own then. i played till 1550 and i expanded like crazy, allways consollidated my armies before battle and never needed to recuite a single unite... thats even worth going for the cossack brakeawaystate in a multiplayer campain for this and it should get banned afterwards.
