@@thesillyhatday It's actually that the GPU basically can't render the image fast enough so the CPU is waiting for the GPU to receive the next frame, which is taking so long that to the processor it's 1% usage.
Crysis games have notoriously bad optimization so not surprising.

@Triky Briky yea but still 1440p systems at max settings is still quite expensive, same for 4k, 1080p max is just your average, so dont hate on 1080p because not everyone can afford 1440p or even 4k

Power has improved a lot. I remember struggling to run HL2 on my laptop with 512MB RAM and a Radeon mobility 9700at 720p or whatever reaolution it was.

Dawid just to let you know, the jaggies disappearing whilst enabling DSR is because DSR applies 33% vaseline (smoothness) to your screen, making everything slightly smudgy. You can disable the DSR smoothness in nvidia control panel under the DSR option :)

I want to see TechYesCity, RandomGaming, and Dawid do a used Quarantine build off. You have a build budget, it can be new or used, and it has to perform in old games, new games, emulators, AND productivity. The only leeway is you have like an entire week to build and source parts and film, plus whatever time you guys need to edit. It's like scrapyardwars INTERNATIONAL.

4k at my 32inch monitor is sooo nice, especially if you can enable 2x msaa on it, 4xmsaa is the maximum on 4k 32inch as going further doesnt change the quality at all.
Imagine 24k resolution, how can we see the main menu and options, do we need a Microscope? 😂

Mobo the amount of pixels displaying the ui also go up, so it would be the exact same size
@@teambounty7546 No, it's not. because old games and software are related to the exact pixel size. but in the newer games, there is no problem because they using a logical size which related to density.
Mobo um, if you’re not aware, some games are based off of resolution for ui, while others scale. This is prominent with pc only roblox games and the early gta series. Assuming all games were built the same in terms of ui is quite a bold claim and anybody with decent knowledge on coding would be able to tell you the same thing I said
Once he pointed out the micro jaggies on the trash can and swapped from 4k to 8k I actually did notice a pretty big difference. I cant believe he just got rid of the micro jaggies with such finesse and ease I honestly feel like my whole world has been flipped upside down..
The frame limiter is pretty necessary though due to the way the physics work. There are mods that alleviate the issues but they're not perfect.
This content is getting ahead of LTT mad projects. I love it.
I use a dl380 g7 for major gaming, I did modify the psu bu the internal bus bars and added a 8 pin gfx power connector. I got a 1660ti fitted and fully working. Its probably one of the best mods on one of these ever as I don't think anyone has done one like this

A question I’ve always had is the comparison between the RTX line of 2060-70-80, with s variants, to 1080 ti 1660 and other nvidia cards. I personally have a 2060 super card and can run any game I want at max settings. The only game that ever takes a toll is Call of Duty Modern-warfare with ray tracing on.

The good thing about getting older and having worsening eyesight is 1440 is about the best your eyes can tell the difference on, so you don't have to worry about FPS at 4K and 8K.

I have Age of Mythology which I used to run on an A12 9800e which ran the game at about 60fp at 3440x1440 which is surprisingly close to a GT 1030, way better than Intel's HD530 at the same year which performs like a GDDR5 GT 710-which I also have along with a GT 1030 apparently. That said, my max refreshrate is (depending on what I buy) between 100-144hz. And I realize now a GT 1030's not gonna cut it, shouldn't have bought it. I should've ignored the 710 in general and got the 1650 first hand.

I get it now, I was expecting GamersNexus analysis, but really you're a light entertainment channel with a focus on tech and gaming, why I didn't see that before I'll never know. Now you're one of my favourite light hearted gaming focused content creators, along with BudgetBuildsOfficial and RandomGamignHD, and TimmyJoe I guess, although I can only take so much of that guy before I need to go and have a lie down. Hey I am looking for advice! I want to buy a Desktop PC for editing my music videos in DaVinci Resolve and I found all in one HP Pavilion 27" (model d0008ng) with GTX1650 both DDR4, 16GB RAM, 4 GB vRAM, that comes in QHD(2560 x 1440) as well as UHD (3840 x 2160) screens, so I am not sure which one to get, is this card not going to lag in UHD or better take QHD(won't the screen be too pixelated with 108PPI?). I am also worried if I buy that in UHD the 150% screen scaling should be made, and I wont see my Studio One and Photoshop or browse web normally, I am not sure, it is an important purchase for me. Any advice ? :) tnxx

This video card is what I'm going to install I to my hp proliant dl360p g8 server. It is apparently the most powerful video card that does not require external power. But I have a question for you. I think you've done videos about servers. Can a sound card be installed into a rack mounted server? I have one slot for a pcie 3.0 x8 and the server has no integrated audio.

Did you activate V-Sync in Crysis game? When it's activated you should get full-frames not out of sync half-frames (from what i know).

Btw, you can registry edit those supersampling multipliers to anything you want. I believe there's some pretty user friendly GUI tools out there to do this (did this a couple years ago). Which is of course commented too early on, cause you mentioned it XD
The jaggies youre referring to is known as aliasing, by bumping up the res you are using super sampling antialiasing

@@Anjula321 Not if you have a really good CPU. My CPU never bottlenecks my graphics card, even on 720p/lowest settings. That's cuz I paired an i7-8700 with a GTX 1050-TI though.
Hey Dawid! Interesting stuff right there! Love these kind of experimental videos, just like RGiHD. My concerns:
- For "jaggy","micro-jaggy", You can crank the anti-aliasing settings right? I'm sure You know that or is it that You wanna get rid of jaggies with only resolution?
- For San Andreas, You can use a mod called RenderHook, which visually enhances the game and even gives performance boost! It uses DX11 API instead of SA's DX9, which makes it a bit faster. For more info: www.mixmods.com.br/2018/03/renderhook-by-petkagta.html

Some of this might be limits on your monitor too. My RX 590 is designed to handle 4K and would run a few of the MMO's I play with no problems but if I try it on my 1080 native monitor, it isn't stable and crashing will happen. The closest I have gotten to stable was Conan Exiles at 1440. Again, the fps wasn't an issue even at 4K. It just liked to crash a lot. I suppose you could salute nVidia for their driver and software support there as well. Something AMD have improved on but still aren't on par with AMD on.
