Mwahaha. You’re so bad Dawid.
Ah, Dawid, you're just tickling me here. Delaying my giveaway win by at a decade!
Bad Prebuild Gaming PC Checklist:
-one ram stick
-cheap ass mainboard
-blower style cooler because....reasons
-trash cpu cooler
-nice and fancy case with rgb
-some more rgb...
-noname psu
Not to mention the trash mouse and keyboard!!
A blower style card is probably better here, even if they run hotter, because they exhaust hot air instead of circulating it round the case, stopping the cpu getting even hotter
This but the case would be complete trash too with flashy exterior

In the middle of getting the parts together for my first build. After owning a pretty cheap sky tech pre built even though it did the job on low settings . I am so stoked to be buying the parts I want and gonna put it together myself
Really great video & overview of this system - thank you!
I found buying a prebuilt PC a valuable experience. I knew nothing at the time of how to put the parts together. Once the PC starting failing in certain areas I was desperate and opened it up to see what was going on and using Reddit as a troubleshoot. It allowed me to familiarize myself with a typical build and understand why my pc was being bottle necked. So yes pre builds are expensive BUT they can provide a difficult wake up call to learning your components fast.
What if I want an actual functioning pc, I mean for 1500 I just want to play sons of the forest and minecraft. Wouldn't a 1500 dollar pc work for a simple gamer?
@@cameronjordan1516 Yes, and no. Watch this video and note, it does not allow you to run it at max settings, middling settings, at best, unless you play older games that do not tax it much, but for that kind of computer, 500-600, tops. There was a time when a halfway decent budget build PC from the likes of Gateway, eMachines could be had for around that. Mind you, they won't be the most powerful and were halfway decent, as long as you expect much from them. The one I helped my mother buy in 2005 No it didn't have a decicated graphics slot (AGP), and the integrated graphics was stuck at 16MB and it had 512MB of RAM, running a Celeron D processor. board was from Intel and research revealed it to be rather robust for what it was, so not a gaming PC per se, it was more than adequate for basic computing. If you got the 600 dollar version, it was AMD and had the AGP slot populated with the slot itself. The placement was there, but not the slot itself on the 2 lesser models. Mom's was the mid tier model.
Or you could do your research beforehand and either make an informed decision when buying a pre-built, getting one built to order or just building your own.

ASUS seems to have fixed some of the issues with this model. I saw one of these recently for sale and a few of the improvements were: 1. It now has a 92mm tower air cooler on a Ryzen 5800X 2. Great Wall 80+ Gold 700w PSU 2. Still a rather low-end ASUS B550 ATX motherboard but it now at least has a heat sink on the VRM. 3. *let yourself shine*
you should do a video on how to improve it for example what kind of other parts can be removed and add to improve this PC... great video btw
I mean:
-Works perfectly out of the box (this is a major problem for many prebuilts)
-Minimal bloatware
-Hardware clocked correctly in the BIOS (again, another MAJOR problem for prebuilts)
-Actually very respectable storage specs
-Great CPU and GPU pairing
-Good looking aesthetics
-Gaming performance blows the previous gen consoles out of the water, and is pretty on par with what the new consoles are more than likely going to provide for the first few years.
To be perfectly honest, this is probably the only prebuilt of this price point I'd ever recommend to someone who INSISTS on getting a prebuilt gaming PC. All the flaws, especially the RAM, are very fixable (with the exception of the industry standard iffy power supply). This seems like a perfectly good starter rig to someone who wants to put a foot in the door to PC building but is still too scared to put the components together themselves. Later upgrading that cooler and adding more CPU fans seems like it'll be a great and low-stress opportunity to learn PC building in steps before they're comfortable putting a whole PC together.
Just the fact that, out of the box, you actually get all the performance you paid for without having to call into tech support or access the BIOS is a huge plus for me. I think you're being a little harsh on it considering the industry standard of prebuilts.
@@powerfitz_ With the state of graphics card prices right now, its definitely worth it. I got one with a 3070, and after a hundred bucks worth of upgrades (which yes, I shouldnt have to do) to the cooler and fans, probably run like a dream.

I'm surprised they didn't include the prism cooler. I'm running a 3800X with the prism cooler until I can afford a better one and it works great at keeping the CPU cool.
Love your videos. I just purchased a pre built trident A. It's pretty amazing. Quiet, stays cool and seems to be great. Sadly the compromise msi made was putting in a 10700F. So no overclocking for me. Ohwell. Still a nice machine for $1400
Dawid pumping iron with the pc to show off it's exercise features
Looking at the parts, it feels like someone at Asus just took all the spare parts they had laying around in the warehouse and built the pc with them
As soon as I saw the PS/2 inputs, for a *$1,500* pre-built computer...I knew this was going to be a trip.
Most motherboard still have PS/2 ports. My MSI B450 Tomahawk has one, which is really nice since I have an old keyboard as well as my main gaming keyboard
Ps/2 inputs are still valued especially by overclockers. This is because if USB controller is too cold it's unusable
@@bitelaserkhalif Really??? I did not know that, nor would I have ever assumed such a thing if for some reason my system couldn't use them at boot and the environment was very cold. Tech be crazy
Alot of good high end motherboards still incude at least one PS/2 port and I stil use that for my keyboard (Steelseries 7G or my lovely old AST without icky windows keys). Also PS/2 is a better keyboard input but in reality you probably won't notice. :)
Actually one of the reasons I did not end up with the 570 motherboard I had planned for my Ryzen build is that it lacked a PS/2 port. Gigabyte drooped PS/2 on all but their crap 570 boards, MSi, ASUS and Asrock still had it on most of theirs.
@@liamjames-hendriks4895 He talks about extreme overclockers using LN2. USB would not have an issue with cold environment in general.
So when said “the technical term for this mouse and keyboard is e-waste” I busted out laughing but no one else in the room understood. I realize I’m alone
Best Buy is known for paying to use the ROG brand license, then they Frankenstein the PC with cheaper parts which are a slap in the face to the ROG Strix name, the Frankenstein ROG laptops they sell are a pretty great value, although some only come with one stick of RAM and little storage, buying your own upgrade parts later is cheaper than buying the higher spec laptops that already have more RAM etc.

When I worked at Best Buy I learned that none of the Geek Squad agents who knew what they were doing, ever built their PCs at Best Buy & none of the other agents had even built a PC before.
I was unable to build my own computer for various reasons so I ended up building and paying for the assembly of a computer from Memory Express. I selected the parts I wanted from their online store using their PC builder and paid them to assemble it. Although you could just get the parts shipped if you would prefer to do it yourself. They even had some sales on a few parts. Better then going out and buying a pre-built as you know what's in the system and how much you paid for them to assemble it. They have both an online store and physical locations, but they had no stores in my province so I had mine shipped.
Only a couple of issues with them. Their customer service took awhile to get back to me via email, and you were unable to call for online sales as they took their line down due to the volume of calls they were receiving at the time. One issue they never got back to me on was me just seeing if I could switch a part out the day after I placed my order since a graphics card went on sale for about $100 less (same card, different brand). The other time I contacted them for an issue the response took just a couple of days and they were helpful. For expensive orders they will do a verification process to ensure there is no fraud going on, that was annoying and took a couple of days, I even had to send a couple of follow up emails since they were taking long to respond. One of their employees creeped my LinkedIn profile which I really didn't like, but whatever. All in all I liked the product I received, and I would definitely recommend them. You should do a review of Memory Express, and other online stores for computers in Canada!

@@dazzledinz0 he litetally is saying that for the money it costs, it doesn't provide (bad cpu cooler, 1 ram chip, and a bad motherboard)... He isn't saying "it's cheap trash", he's saying it's expensive for what you get...
@@dazzledinz0 well, for the price of this pc, you could build something better and safer
Subbed because of the rant was 10/10. Couldn’t have said it any better myself
I bought the same rig 2 years ago and still working just fine till now. Just buy and play untill it breaks!
Damn lol I got basically this exact same prebuilt, Surprisingly enough it hasnt gotten very hot while gaming (My processor is a Ryzen 3600x, GPU is the 2060Super (Same motherboard, ram, and PSU)
You should make a tutorial on how to remove all the components from the motherboard, and totally replace the motherboard with a better one, and re-connect everything, seeing that this particular type of pre-built is so new that there are no guides, I think you would help alot of people out, including myself :)
(I am most worried about the cheapness of my motherboard or my PSU)
Yeah me too I installed new ram I’m now looking for a new psu then motherboard
my friend is getting this to not build his pc but he does not know he needs to build that pc all over again to get new motherboards
@@huseyinakif9502 what?
@@cardboardtruck1009 he is getting a prebuild so he does not have to build it himself but he will need a better motherboard eventually and he will have to build the pc again
@@huseyinakif9502 oh
The ending was the best. Someone please make a meme of him saying that’s naughty
I recently bought the same PC, and my plan is to just gradually switch out the parts. I'm already about to change cases in a few months, and then the fans.
Just picked this up for a crazy good deal, picked up a deep cool case and new ram, so exited to swap it out and get out the power it was intended for!
when the alienware rig came into the screen all i saw was Escape from tarkov xD
The two Ram sticks that you installed are RGB thats why the performance boost
A major reason for cutting corners is available inventory. If they have a surplus of motherboard x or single channel ram y, that's what they'll use.
Picked up a CyberpowerPC pre-built at Best Buy this past December when it went on sale. Came with a full-size MSI Pro Z690-A WiFi motherboard, 16GB dual-channel 3200MHz RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, RTX 3070 (blower style, but it does help keep the inside of the case nice and cool), Core i7-1200KF, 800W (non-modular but still good) PSU, five PWM fans with ARGB, and an AIO cooler with a 240mm radiator and ARGB pump cover. The motherboard, GPU, memory, storage, and cooler would have cost at least as much as I paid for the whole system, and its case and other bits and bobs were also pretty darned decent. Granted, I ultimately swapped the guts over to a Fractal Design North case, but it still came in cheaper than I could've built my own system from the ground up.
All that's to say there are some decent pre-builts out there if you're willing to go with lesser-known brands, especially when they get steeply discounted during the holidays as retailers are also trying to offload the year-old systems to make way for the new stuff.
I like how we still use crysis as a testing benchmark even after all these years.
Crysis and now rdr2 and Cyber Punk lol
