For those of you saying I wasn't hard enough on the system, keep in mind that at $700 the average prebuilt is complete garbage (check out my Cheapest Best Buy prebuilt video). Tbh, at this price point you have to choose which massive compromise you are most comfortable with 😂
And remember - loads of people don't feel comfortable building their own systems and thats okay!
Dawid Does Tech Stuff first
Ok David
At first I wondered if they only put one stick in so you'll only have to buy one more to upgrade. But then I realized that single sticks of ram are not worth the price when dual sticks are around the same price anyways.
i mean you kinda aren't considering the pc at the bottom of this paragraph is $700 CAD/$534 USD and the one in the video is just a worse version for $700 USD/$917 CAD
that for one is single 8gb stick,
two has a 1650 (non super)
and three is using a 450w PSU that won't be suitable for stronger gpu's (only has 2x 6pins)
ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/ztdBwh
not to mention realistically you shouldn't buy the 1650 super anyways
should go look for a used 570, it's very similar in performance and would save you another like $100 ish dollars.
this prebuilt is no different
it's still very overpriced.
the only thing it has going for it
is the questionable MSI B365M MORTAR mobo
but why would you get a nice non overclocking mobo?
unless you are buying a K chip you should more or less use the cheapest mobo for intel
it literally doesn't matter unless you have a CPU that can overclock
(yes this includes ram, the i3 9100f can't use higher speed memory then 2400mhz
regardless of XMP or whatever else, i know because i own an i3 9100f.)
@@rustedyoda7339 If you're buying used components and trying to compare it to a prebuilt (which people buy because they don't wanna build it, lol), that's just stupid. I get your point but it just doesn't make sense here

How customizable is it? Can I upgrade it In the future?
@@matixx_ you can upgrade it a little, bit 1-2 years you need a new setup :/

This only helps cases against pre-builts. $700 for an i3, one stick of RAM and a 1650? A man with eye-patches on both the eyes could see how overpriced this is.
Forgetting the storage, PSU, motherboard and case that indeed sounds overpriced.
Agreed, but most of the Money was most likely gone into the PSU, GPU, mobo and SSD, remember PSU prices have gone up vastly even on the lower tier PSU's. Same with GPUs even the low end GPUs cost nearly twice as much in some instances. Then obviously Ur paying a premium for someone to build the machine and ur getting a warranty on the entire Machine with one company. But for 700 in this price hike cause of covid is still somewhat decent but the cpu could have easily been a i5 none Apu variant as it's only a few dollars difference then the i3.
Ngl i did get a prebuild a year ago when i didnt know much about pcs and i payed $600 for a dell system with a ryzen 7 rx 580 and 16gb of ram, only complaint is that the rx 580 does get a bit loud while gaming but everything else is fine
@@thealien_ali3382 it's nzxt. They buy bulk probably with a slight discount from MSRP. It's a 1650. It won't cost more than 150. He literally says the availability on the 1650 is great. So is the 1650 super there are loads of them everywhere. While the 3100 isn't available, the 2600 for 140 is. The motherboard sure. Ssd is probably dramless anyway would rather have a sata 3 that's half decent. He says the PSU is 'decent' yet we don't actually know what the PSU is. I bet it's also cheap. Like a 35usd 80+ white 400watt that sucks compared to something I would actually buy. It's not a good deal.

I think that USB 3 cable came loose in shipping, and not by falling down on the table.
Vertical force issues aside, those cables are normally pretty wel ankered in their slots, so they mostly only come out due to long term vibration (like conveyer belts).

I'm a fan of NZXT. I used the 510 case for one of my kid's build. Very easy to work with.
Watched the review but actually came to hear Dawid’s descriptions. “Like a Medium sized head injury” did not disappoint
Great review! I think you made some very valid points. I was laughing hard at the khazikstan and small guy in an f150 comments too. I think you made a good case for why they picked what they did. Your criticism of the single channel memory was legitimate. I mean two 4gb chips would run about the same as one 8gb stick. Maybe they were thinking it would be easy enough to throw in another 8gb chip.
Overall I enjoyed the video very much. Your presentation style balances well between delivering the technical facts in an interesting way and delivering some witty humor here and there.
Added to the list of the things I'll never be able to unbox
CAT!
You were on a roll, Dawid. This was a hilarious video. Also honestly that PC, I'd recommend that to anyone looking at something in this price range. It's a very solidly designed system.
I recently purchased the NZXT 510 case - it's real good.
As a customer of NZXT who recently bought their Streamer PC model, I am gonna say they made a good decision with the availability and decent pricing for what it is.
Well the cat stole the show ! What a beautiful little thing can we get a review on that ? 🙂
this might be the first time i have seen someone happy with an NZXT prebuilt.
I got a HP Omen with Core i5 and i love it. I built my last desktop, it died sadly a few months back. I also like Omen because it has a good PSU that can accommodate a bigger card in 2-3 years and the whole PC can be upgraded.
I find it interesting how the 9100 is bottlenecking than the 1650. I would've guessed the opposite. I wonder if adding another 8GB stick would affect that.
Love the system. Just wish you added another stick of ram to see the difference
oh common it's an intel system so no difference
i would definitely buy this for a present to a family member for either there birthday or Christmas as a starter rig and if they like it in a couple years or so i would introduce them into the pc building side

It's a nice prebuilt, just at this point I can never go back to "buying" a PC, I need to build them.
I just got the streaming pc from nzxt and they gave me an aio instead of air cooler so I'd say its sometimes worth it. but if my dad didn't want the warranty, I definitely would've wanted to build it myself since I couldve gotten a better motherboard and 2080 super instead. there is something nice to the price advantage and knowing what is going into your system of building it yourself.
@Thomas Borisov Im just saying they upgraded the part no extra cost and I got better cooling potential and a quieter computer. But I do agree building it is a nicer option

as someone who used to build all my computers I ended up ordering the $1000 prebuild from NZXT about a year ago due to the fact that i simply don't have the time anymore to spend part shopping and comparing or putting it all together. I have been very happy with the system i got and it has lots of room to upgrade in the future. If I had been doing a incremental upgrade to my old PC i probably wouldn't have but as my old system was originally built back in 2010 and needed to be fully rebuilt this was all around just easier and I have been recommending them to friends and family in a similar situation.
i love your content man please keep it up, you make me laugh
For $700, this is about the setup I might expect, it seems very well rounded as you explained. the i3 is kinda eh, but I can't expect too much when there's a graphics card that takes up almost a fifth of the computer budget. A 1650, even as one of the lowest end, somewhat current gen graphics cards, still performs decently well to an extent I think.
