Sandy this can and does happen to best of us 😅 as regards forced DPF regeneration conditions and feedback readings usually need to be perfect for regeneration to take place in first place.
I had that on my x trail t 31 2009 cleaned caliper guide pins, bottom one's on both front calipers stuck, inner pads worn down to about 3mm, outer pads ok at 8mm. Also could see heat colour change on inner discs. All ok after 30 minutes of tinkering aboot.
hello, I have a similar Nissan but it gives me a headache, no one knows what the problem is P0611, I tried to rewrite the injectors but without success after the rewriting procedure, the codes appear AAAAAAA and they don't synchronize more than 1500 R/P, different people checked it people and different brands of diagnostics but without excuses
Another unexpected diag, these things are sent to test us. thanks Sandy

I’ve had two t31 x trails and both have had new callipers on the front. Common weakness, easy fix with AutoDoc.😅
