Now that's a very informative vid.
Like you I purchased an OBD11 scan gauge. Its a great tool to have.
Thanks for this tutorial. It took me a couple tries, but it work and my exxy is working a treat again.
Many Thanks
I did this procedure after cleaning the air sensor and throttle 4, 5 years ago but from a print-out paper and it gave me a big headache. I had to change the camshaft and crankshaft sensors today and go through the ECU relearning process. Your video is so easy to follow, thanks a lot mate!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Glad you found it useful 👌
I can't believe it, but it came out the first time, thank you very much!!!!
Awesome!
Thank you for all useful information
I hope that we found this type of videos in Arabic
I follow you from Algeria
Good info bro,,,thx💪🇦🇺💯
Saw this yesterday..did it today. Took me 5 or 6 times but it worked!
I was having stutterings for a while.
changed sparks and coils.. did not work.
reset the check engine light numurous times. came back on after couple hours..
I hope this fixes the stutters.
Will see the next days whats happening..
And? Did it fix it?
Another superb and informative video. Remember the timing has to be pretty well spot on in seconds, and if you fail to achieve the engine light blinking, repeat until you do. I've had to go through the process up to three times before it actually worked for me. It seems some seconds are shorter than others! hehe. Cheers Marvin.
Absolutely!
I love xtrail mainly t30
Worked for me.after cleaning throttle body idle was a bit high. After the relearn process idle steady when hot at 800 rpm and my car feels working better.
Glad to hear that!
Bien😎
Will this work on the 2ltr 2006 Model?
I'm not %100 sure I've changed both sensors because of cam and just done battery disconnect and work's fine also with plugs and coils what i understand is the ECU takes readings continuely for optimal engine out put. I've seen relearn for throttle position like this. Happy owner back yard mechanic 👍
Oh and I will prob need my engine light working I suppose 😂💡
Is that reset process and resetting by obd 2 scanner both dose the same ?
Yes I believe so.
Does it work on t30 2.2di?
Not 100% sure. Give it a go, you'll know if it works if the engine light starts flashing. It won't harm it if it won't work.
My 2005 xtrail cut out when I rev do u think I need to change my computer my engen is a QR 25 2 liter
No, changing the ECU is excessive. Get it checked properly first
Is this the same procedure for Idle relearn?
Yes
Is it the same procedure for the 2 liter version?
I believe so. There's only one way to find out... try it and if the engine light starts flashing then you're on the money!
@@ruggedlife need to replace the engine light bulb first tho 🚦
Procedure is exactly the same.
Ok. So after this video I tried 15 times with no success. Had to watch another video and read comments to see what was wrong.
You have to count 3 sec then pump the gas pedal 5 times. If you don't it won't work. Thanks though. Without this vid I would have had to buy an OBD2 reader to clear the light.
Waited over 4 mns of a 5 mn 26 s video before he showed the procedure. Really frustrating!
Won't work for me because my engine light never comes on.
97% talk 3% work

Not bad cars but they are a thirsty motor.
Yes they can be.
As already said, yes, they can be. However, you can learn to drive smoothly. You will save lots of fuel (to about 20 percent) and significantly minimize the wear and tear rate. It is much safer and more comfortable too.
The Xtrail is one crappy car. Lousy engine and even worse CVT
@@volvo24091 Yeah I sold mine for $1500 more than I paid for it 3 years ago. Best decision I made.
Just done and it’s made it way worse
Have you tried it on a 2.2dci ? Or which engine ? And how was it running before and after resseting the ecu ?
The Xtrail is one crappy car. Lousy engine and for auto's an even worse CVT
