  • I had to make some repairs to my Ford 907 Flail Mower. This video is part 1 of 2 parts showing what I ran into on replacing both of the main shaft bearings and the finishing roller bearings. Wail I had it apart, I also replaced all 33 of the blades. It is much easier with the main shaft out to be able to get to the blades. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps it you are in need of removing some stubren bearings.

I've never seen blades like that. Thanks for showing.

I have only been able to find them at the dealer. Shoup doesn't have them and haven't seen them from any after market. Thanks for watching.

Nice project Tim. I bet that thing will cut right pretty with new sharp blades and run a whole lot better with me bearings. Always good when you can maintain something and find the parts for it. Thanks for the video.☕🇺🇸

Yes sir, what a difference. It runs so smooth that I could hear the grass being cut. Thanks for you encouraging words.

Where did you source your bearings from? Thank you, Don

I bet the parts cost more than the mower. I have a Ford 917 and replaced all of the blades and couldn't believe the cost.

It wasn't that bad. For what it would cost to replace, definitely worth repairing. It runs and sounds much better. Thanks for being here and watching.

Wonder if you have a part number for the belt. Having a tough time finding it. Great video!

Your CaseIH or New Holland dealer can get you the part. The part # on line is p# 9828694. Good luck.

@@TAHDAHFarm thank you I will try that. Found the mower for 400 so it’s well worth the parts needed

Where did you get the part numbers for the main bearings? Restoring one I picked up for $150. Mine is wider so it's 44 flails, and when replacing those I noticed a slight amount of movement in the main bearing in the belt side

New Holland parts store on line. Case, Case IH and New Holland are all the same but make sure you are on the New Holland tab at the top to surch for old Ford parts. There are 2 different types and the one is very expensive because it is no longer made and limited supply. The one I got was the newer one. It is either a 221959 or 222020. I went to my New Holland implement dealer to get the parts. They had one in stocks, so they had to order the other one since I was replacing both of them. Good luck and thanks for stopping by.

@@TAHDAHFarm Found them online at Quality Farm Supply and got the measurements. Turns out tractor supply sells bearings that are the right size and cheap. $18.99 at Tractor Supply 851-SA20516.
