- MDT has used Cerakote as our primary coating method on precision rifle chassis systems for years, so much so that we opened up our own Cerakote shop.
Cerakote is a two-part polyurethane coating that provides extreme durability and scratch resistance to firearms, metal parts such as rifle chassis, magazines, and various other surfaces. The name is derived from "ceramic" (porcelain) + "coating".
This video demonstrates how MDT applies the Cerakote process to precision rifle chassis.

Didn't realise the ceo is Dutch :) Awesome to see a fellow Dutchman in a great company like this !
The paint manager seems like a really cool guy.
He sure is!
Love the attention to detail and the disciplined crew Rod has working for him.
Thanks Rod for all 3 of my chassis!!
Great job to all you guy's and Gal's at
Mdt 🇨🇦!!
We're so happy to hear that!

Rad! Videos are looking great as well.
learning so much, love these videos
Can you do a full factory tour video from start to finished product
Possibly, we will see if it is something we can do!
I think I want a polished MDT stock now 😁 it looked awesome before the etch.
I just got one I love it great value
Awesome, glad to hear it!
When you cerakote HNT26 what happems with the carbon fiber beneath in the oven? Arent you compromising the carbon's resin matrix??
Omg you should do an unpainted options just raw materials that would like slick
Thank you for the feedback, it is something we can consider in the future for sure!
I wish the cerakote quality was better than what it is. I have to find a local one to redo mine while it is not used at all.
If the chassis im ordering isnt availabe in the white i want. Are tou guys able to send them bare n i can cerkote them at a shop?
At this time, we are unable to ship uncoated chassis systems
Here I am after buying a mdt ess chassis busy sending it back due to the forend having the bare aluminium slightly visible through the cerakote at certain places ..
Hi, thank you for feedback about your ESS. There are some areas that we intentionally lightly coat so we don't run the chance of any drips/run off in areas that won't be hidden by either hardware or the the action.

My ess chassis got dinged up easy. In fact it came with a few nicks already out of the box. Not sure what you mean about it being scratch resistant or extremely durable.
My grey ess had a small quarter inch long hair line scratch as well right out of the box but ohh well a couple matches and it will get a few more other then that it was perfect
We're sorry to hear about your experience, please reach out to us through the link below and we will see what we can do for you.

@@MDTTAC maybe try using the E series instead of the H series cerakote
@@jeffreyli1004 we do for a few applications but the E series has a limited selection of only 15 colours.
A cerakote applicator I follow never mixes higher than 12 to 1 for this very reason. He says any higher and it will scratch very easy. 20 to 1 seems crazy high?
Great video just music needs to be toned down a little.
Thank you for the feedback!
get some real PPE respirators or something. There's no way metal dust from sandblasting and compressed air aren't being breathed in by that girl in the sandblasting zone with that cloth mask
