Lmaooo, "super easy", you just need a giant dipping tank, spray booth, air compressor and spray gun. Oh don't forget the chemical mask.😁 awesome pattern though..
Thanks... I said it was easy, not cheap
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
Correct. Been there. Tried it. Not as easy as it looks. I could have used cheap materials? Everything looked like ass.
Materials came from liquid concepts. I purchased digital thermometer for water temp at wal mart.
I've literally hydrodiped in a bathtub... Hahaha. Wife like what I dipped for her.. but was pissed at the mess.... 😂
When he said, "Now I'm gonna go ahead and spray my activator." I had a flashback to the days of the Jerry Curl. Glad to see it was just something used within the world of hydro-dipping. LOL
LOL I didnt even think of that! Good catch
I forgot this video was about hydrodipping cause I was learning so much about how to do a camo pattern and then when you went back to talking about dipping it I was like OH SHIT! This thing is gonna look fucking SICK!!!!
LOL, it did look really cool with just the paint
That pattern looks BADASS!!!😃 Outstanding job.
Enfim gorgeous. Great skill and artistry.
Great custom design, it looks like a full camo pattern. I never knew there was Giblets in pew pews. Learn something new everyday.
LOL. Of course there are giblets LOL!
Thanks for showing your ghost masking technique in more detail. I’m liking this loo over a hard line mask or roll. Keep up the great videos chris.
I like the ghost seam better, and I suck at rolling.
that finish is brilliant
That turned out amazing
"Inside this Flux Capacitor...." ROTFLOL!! Great video!
Thats some sick work!! Thanks for showing us how a pro does it.👍
Great video! I appreciate all the knowledge you share with us.
Thanks, glad I can help.
Great video. Definitely trying this
I agree with Hellion. My arts and crafts go to you because my favorite number is turquoise
My favorite number to smell is green
Best dipping videos Ever
Thanks to your logo and this video I feel the need to watch G.I Joe
LOL. GI Joe is awesome!
You are the super one hit wonder dip ninja. Awesome. I want to be just like you. Lol. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Eric. Glad you enjoyed the ninja video!
That looks legit! Solid work 🤘
Appreciate it!
One of the best camo jobs I have seen as a diy. Great video!!
I wouldn't exactly call his setup "DIY" 😂. He's probably got over $10K worth of hydrodip equipment.
🤦♂🤦♂
@@injahnet "DIY" mean _Do it yourself,_ which means, at home with simple tools. NOT his setup. 🙄🤦♂️
@@BasedAFPatriot 😂😂😂 You got a good point there.
That's an awesome Job wish your company was over here in the UK i would love my gun done like that Outstanding job.
Great Video Chris, thanks for the awesome insight.
Thanks Brian, always trying new things to see what looks good.
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics forgot to tell ya, the shirt I ordered Rocks, nice and soft T-Shirt. Be well Chris and thanks for what you do for us You-tubers.
Super professional work. Definitely not for at home
Super video! May have to do this on a demo stock and hang it in the office. You really made this look fun and easy. It was good to get a close up and explanation to your ghost seam. This will change things in our shop. My boss is old school and hates the visible seam.
Thanks Terry, I told everyone it wasn't hard to do at all. I just literally slap some tape on there however it fits, nothing precise about it at all.
@@AllThingsFunHydrographicsyea, let's buy all the equipment for a single gun paint.
That is BADAZZ!!!!!!!! WOW 😳😳😳🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Nice, well done bruh
Damn, that looks awesome!👍🏻
Thank you!
This is a great idea! Going to do my shotgun like this. I’ve been having a blast hydro dipping the last year or so awesome vid
Thanks Chris. I really like this camo pattern and would be really cool with just about any color combo.
that came out awesome. If you change camo patterns like Realtree to Treezyn, do you have to sand and primer with a neutral color before you do that?
Sweet work brotha... just subbed to ur channel.
I think your paint job was good enough!!!
THank you, it was a really cool camo look!
super good super dude!
Nice!
that turned out insane! ngl I was more than a little skeptical at first, I was quick to say why that "black marble" ? overkill pffft... man was I wrong that absolutely was what tied everything together! you have a subscriber, and I saved the video for when I'm ready to do mine. thank you
This is absolutely dope shit! Fantastic looking work
When dipping gun receivers, are the serial numbers still visible or does the layers of paint film and clear bury them ?
Artwork!
Thank you
Looks great - thinking of doing my spare set of Accuracy International chassis skins. Genuine question though, do you not need to wear a respirator for the activator? I thought it was pretty toxic, and there's a whole mist of it you're standing in at about 08:38.
G'day great video mate and nice Ninja hands 😁👍
LMAO. Gotta love the ninja hands.
That looks badass great job and u make it sound so easy lol it would take me 3 or 4 times to get it right and it probably still wouldn't be right lol u do dam good work thanks for sharing and keep on dipping the freedom machines
This one really is easy. You could throw it in the tank and that marble pattern will look fine as long as it is activated correctly.
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics does the water have to be any certain temperature ir anything special
@@hawkeye7834 YES, we have a video all about water temps
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics ok I will have to find that video thanks again bud keep up the awesome work on them freedom machines
If i dipp some things should i put lack after? Thanks
good job friend 👍👍👍👍
Thanks bud
Damn that looks amazing. And it doesn't even seem that inaccessible to the average person.
Can we not buy Camo dipping film with Camo colours or do we always have to paint?
I'm assuming the hydro covers in the clear sections too? How well does the hydro hold up to abuse?
How do you get the gear mechanism and motor out the handle grip? I basically stripped my whole airsoft rifle, but couldn't find out how to get them pieces out.
Excellence!
Thank you
Man that looks so good!
How much would you charge for something like this?
Hey this looks ahsome,. I have a Ruger synthetic stock in drab olive green. I would like this for the back ground color. Do I still need primer or just clean it well
You still need to paint it or else the dip will not stick. OHW has an bunch of colors similar to olive.
Do you have to have an FFL to do pew pews for customers?
Cool
Thanks
I seen that look in your eyes in the bloopers. I know you wanted to throw something in the paint booth lol. Get you a teleprompter lol. The pew pew came out great.
I tried a teleprompter once, it was terrible. Was like a watching a half retarded Mr. Rogers reading a home and garden magazine!
Help, I painted one of my ARs like your's with OHW paint and when I dipped it in the Black marble and went to rinse it, the black just washed off. not sure what is going one. I had the water set at about 92 degrees sprayed activator like I always have. Any ideas? I know its not much info but any help would be appreciated.
damn that looks so good
Thank you!
Sick bro. How does this treatment hold up to gun cleaning chemicals? Thanks
Do you have to mix the clear like the quart or gallon? On the spray gun or is it just pour and spray? And same question for the activator
I only mix up enough clear coat to do each project. A gallon goes a long way when mixed properly and they come with instructions for mixing on the side of the can.
activators do not get mixed, just pour in your gun and spray.
He said FREEDOM SEED DELIVERY SYSTEM 🤣💀
cant say the "g" word on youtube anymore lol.
Ik
It Gulf Alpha Foxtrot
What would be the ballpark cost to start this with much smaller equipment?
In your business, you dip so many different pews, each of which must be disassembled down to its component parts. I am familiar with my own pews, but where do you learn/refresh your memory on breaking down evverryyy make and model? Is there an online resource? Or have you simply taken prior exp and built on it over the years?
Hey can you do one for crossbows or semi automatic shotgun
What sort of durability does this have?
Specifically for a rifle or hangun?
how hot is your dipping tank water ?
how do you find your rifle when you put it down though
So you said "you can even use" spray can activator?? I thought you can use that on all films?
You can, but just because you can does not mean it will work the greatest. Not all patterns and films will do very good with spray can activators. I always suggest a spray gun over spray cans for repeatable consistent results.
Hooked on your channel as I want to do this to my airspft rifle.
Question, I want to do a camo, gun mostly candy red and then camo sponges of white and black. How would you do this? Base coat silver as i learned in your candy red video... but what would be next? 2 coats the candy red? what about adding the white and black camo spots
Then I would finish with hydro dip and then semi gloss?
Thanks bro keep up the awsome vids
Just noticed you did candy red at end... sounds like my idea isn't doable... I woukdnjust do red base and white and black camo like this then probably do gloss finisher
You can do it. Base it silver, spray 2 coats of candy, let it dry then do your white and black sponge paint. Dip like normal and clear coat it.
Question how would look with the universe digital camo instead of the marble
Probably look pretty good.
Awesome work 👍
Do you ever have issues torquing fasteners down and cracking the clearcoat?
No cracks for me, I just make sure to use good clear coats and give it time to cure before putting everything together.
You have a link to that pattern? All I can find is zebra pattern
Can you do a RC body I've been trying myself but having a little difficulty
I do not do RC bodies because they are a pain in the butt, and some idiot on CZcams has convinced everyone that they have to be dipped from the inside... which is incorrect.
Will the process still work if I play different music, or does it have to be the same music you play?
You have to listen to Kenny G, or Banjo music. Won't work without it.
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics OMG! That is so perfect! KG is my jam. LOOOOOVE that perm.
All Things Fun Hydrographics I never heard of this stuff. I stumbled across this by chance. About the FILM.
It appears that the FILM dissolves, did I get that right? If so, then every time you dip, you need new film, right?
Do you sell the t shirts cause I want one if they're sale
what the name of these little samples on you wall?
So I've done a lot of hydra dipping spray can stuff so to get that pattern basically I would mix black and clear for some cool looking stripes I'll be honest there's no way I would pay someone to make my gun cheaper so I might as well take a dump on it and spray paint over the dump it's still camo and I didn't have to pay you
It is not for everyone, but the people who like it want it done, so that is what we do.
how durable is the hydro dip ? and will cleaners and oil remove the finish ?
czcams.com/video/_EZI2MidUGw/video.html
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics It was a yes, or no, question.
Hi everybody .. How do I prepare the activator, or what is the composition of the activator material?
I do not know how to make it, we buy it already made here in the US
Have a question. I understand how and why you only dip one side of a gun at a time, makes sense....until....I watch other and see them dip the entire thing and both side get done and come out excellent.....so why the extra work dipping and tapping twice?
It's in the finer details, but you do what ever you want.
So easy, You should bot for AOL.
How much would you charge me if I sent you the film and my gun slide and frame? Glock 44 or Smith and wesson m&p 15-22?
Email for a quote: chris@atfhydrographics.com
How much you guys charge to do an ar 15
I watched a show on Netflix called making fun and these guys were creating a tennis shoe car and they sprayed spray paint on the surface of a kiddie pool and then they took sheets of vinyl and dip them into the pool and it came out with these amazing hydro dipped paint jobs. I'm wondering if that can be done with an AR-15 and if I would have to use automotive paint or if I could just use regular spray paint? I understand I'll probably need to spray a primer down on the gun with a spray paint primer and then hopefully from that point I can put a bunch of random colors on the surface of the water wait for a few minutes and then lay the rifle all important parts removed of course down into the pool pull it up and hang it
I am not sure, we do not do that kind of dipping and I have never tried it.
At home. Yeah, I got all the equipment in my back room
No way. I'll send my stuff to the man, the mith, the legend instead. Only because my favorite color is 7. Like yours. 🙃
Ohhhhhh 7 is a great color... but have you seen the dragons in the kitchen?
can you dip optics?
Yes
I get that you're a hydrodipping channel, but I feel like the dip was completely unnecessary in this case hahaha. You could have gotten a very similar outcome if you just used the sponge for the black paint as well
How much does something like this cost ?
If I do this at home I'll be sleeping on a doormat.
Hi dear. I want thi sheet what is indian price this sheet
Where did you get the black marble hydrographic from
What do you charge to do something like that?
Prices are all custom depending on the parts you want done. email for a quote on your project chris@atfhydrographics.com
1055.. youre just flexing now
Don't hate LOL 😅
How much does this cost?
Guess what I'm doin this weekend!
Yeah man, get ya some of that hydro dipped camo!
You can do this where now ??
How to remove it when we want to change the style
Sand blast it off. It is permanent so it does not come off easy
Wait is that Kryptek? Can I get that?
Where do you get your films. And how does the paint you use with clear coat compare to cerekote.
Also, your bloopers makes me feel less crazy. Making things never goes how it does in my head. All these videos of makers make it look perfect when in reality it looks like this
I get films from a lot of places, I did a video on the channel a while back showing all the places to buy hydro dip films and supplies. I even did several videos comparing hydro dip to cerakote as well if you want to check those out.
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics this was my first video, after asking this I discovered your other videos too. You said you get annoyed when people like me ask this question 😂.
But since you still answered me and took the time to steer me in the right direction, I decided it’s worth following you, thank you!
I’m a business owner, I understand how annoying these things can be and you showed to spite that, you had good customer service anyway
Is this not send it jon boat guy??
Yes I am the Send It guy... Hydro Dipping is my day job. LOL
Haha half face with a full beard 🤣
Don't they make a dip that is camo so you can skip all the painting?
Yes but it still needs to be painted a solid base coat color.
@@AllThingsFunHydrographics OK Thanks for the info.
Do at home...yea rite...
