I am a Ranger Fan and I don't see it as a Canes Choke. They were a scary F'n team and IMO the next best team in the league next to the Rangers. The Rangers just came out and had a better third period and Igor became a wall.

I would say yes and no. Shesterkin made the saves Andersen didn't, true. But guys like Kreider, Panarin...hell, even Lafreniere made a difference in this series.

We got the greasy goals tonight that we are known for because they work hard down-low. We needed this test as a wake up to know the 4th one is the hardest to win and not to be slept on.

I'd pump the brakes there TBH. Too many formidable foes, the only teams I feel comfortable counting out are the Bruins and Avs. Should Boston come back from 3-1 and beat the Panthers, I don't see them beating the Rangers. Same with Colorado, the loss of Valeri Nichushkin will be a back breaker, I don't think they get past Dallas though they did win game 5. Other than that there are roadblocks ahead for the NYR.

It was a legit call. Refs allow minor "cross-checking" all the time, but not from behind and face first into the boards. Plus, we didn't get the Skjei, delay of game call.

And so, another year in the life of a sports fan. Most fans of any sports team deals with exactly this kind of thing. I've had every emotion watching this series from feeling utterly defeated to feeling like I was gonna have rockets come out of my feet from excitement. But after going down 0-3, I had a feeling it was more than likely we wouldn't get to the finish line this year. The Rangers were simply better. Had a better special teams and that really was the difference overall. And Carolina couldn't come up with the plays and finishing they needed to put this game away and go to 7 games. So, like inevitably 31 other teams this year, it's just not our year. And I'm off to not think about hockey for the next few months.
