The only people not surprised are the Canucks and their fans. We all know they are better than ANYONE outside of the team and its fanbase gave them credit for. Theyve been written off ALL year, countless times and for countless reasons. This team has gut, determination and will, size and strength combined with some skill and and the absolute desire to win, mixed in with a TON of character top to bottom. Pack that up with incredible coaching and leadership and this team that literally EVERY analyst called a wildcard team at best is ONE win from the conference finals. The reffing has been brutal on both sides, and the Canucks have blatantly gotten the worst of it overall, but still, here we sit up 3-2 wit our destiny in our hands. GO CANUCKS GO!

Wellll...let's not give fans too much credit here. Canucks fans have been somewhat bipolar in reaction to every game, and when Artūrs Šilovs first stepped-in the sky had already fallen. He quickly made the players around him believe and the fans eventually followed; but no matter what happens next, they've already overachieved. It's entertainment every night.

In NHL rules, "charging" is a penalty assessed to a player who takes multiple strides or travels an excessive distance to deliver a body check to an opponent. This rule is designed to prevent reckless and dangerous hits that could lead to injury. Charging can be called when a player takes a run at an opponent or accelerates into a hit with unnecessary force, rather than making a check with a reasonable amount of momentum from normal skating.
Specifically, the NHL Rulebook defines charging under Rule 42.1 as follows:
"Charging shall mean the actions of a player who, as a result of distance traveled, shall violently check an opponent in any manner. A 'charge' may be the result of a check into the boards, into the goal frame or in open ice."

Defensively Miller was a beast on McDavid although I think he didnt have his best game offensively. Depth was great. We have to be aware of Edmonton's push back after a goal, its become often that they come out and have a dominant shift after we score a goal, and has burned us twice in the last 2 games. Charging - A minor or major penalty shall be imposed on a player
who skates, **jumps into** or charges an opponent in any manner.
Charging shall mean the actions of a player who, as a result of
distance travelled, shall violently check an opponent in any manner. A
“charge” may be the result of a check into the boards, into the goal
      frame or in open ice.
I don't really agree with the violently part on the hit there but 100% he jumped into it I'm guessing the ref just gave it an automatic call because of the jump. I don't hate it plus the boys won anyway so.
