    Mika doesn’t get enough credit on that first goal. That puck between the legs so he could set up the pass for Krieder was an absolute thing of beauty

      Actually Jack Roslovic doesn’t get enough credit on that goal. Watch the replay from another angle. He gets shut off on the boards and looks back and kicks the puck to Mika.

      Great work by all 3. Ros carried into the zone, gets rubbed out but Mika follows it up, nice between the legs drag and then he doesn’t actually pass to Kreider, he tries to bank it in off Freddie like Laf did, put it into the perfect spot so it kind of got stuck under his skate.

    This is the first time I've seen super slo-mo of Kreider's tip-in tying goal. It was headed for high glove corner and ended up in the high blocker corner. Outstanding! Goalie didn't stand a chance.

      Heading to high glove side, then goes in high blocker side. No chance for that goalie.

    CK must have vision like a fighter pilot. Putting his stick on a puck & redirecting. And yes kudos to his team mates that put it where he can see it.--- LGR!!!

    This is Messier-level heroics from Kreider. K didn't make a bold pre-game statement, but none of his goals were an empty-netter either, and K brought the NYRs back from a 2-goal deficit. I went back in time and watched Messier's legendary game highlights yesterday and I had a huge smile on my face. Respect and Honor to both men!

      Hell yea dude!! During the 2nd intermission, my fiancee was bummed out and i told her that this reminded my of Game 6 against the Devils in 94. We were down 2 goals for a lot of the game. I felt like the Rangers would come back but I didn’t imagine a hat trick from Kreider!! That was wild.

      @Torgo1969 Před měsícem +1

      @@jackrockwell6698 Word on the street is that Richter stood on his head in the 2nd period back then and kept hope barely alive for the NYRs until Kovy and Moose got on the board. LFGR!

      If you have followed Chris much you will know that he will pass the open net goals to his teammates, he does not like to take them for himself.

  • @gmercede
    @gmercede Před měsícem +8

    Great analysis. But Brian what you're missing on the Kreider tip goal is 9 or so passes the Rangers make to spread out the Canes defense. They keep working it until the opportunities are there. That's why Rangers have less shots too quality over quantity.

    the behind view of Kreids tip in is GREAT you see Freddy's glove go RIGHT where the pucks going and then last millisecond it goes across him into the other corner...just *chef kiss*, Freddy almost looks at his empty glove like the puck evaporated

    I love the way they showed it wasn't all Freddie's fault. Canes' fans are a bit delusional. Their team had LOTS of shortcomings. Tons.

    • @Erdrick68
      @Erdrick68 Před měsícem +2

      Everyone wanted to blame Freddie for that game, but of the 4 goals he allowed maybe 1 wasn’t impossible to stop, that being the first Kreider goal. And even that one is as much on his team being lazy as it is on him.

      That line has controlled play most of the time they’re on the ice. Would love to see them finish more but I think they’ve done a good job.
