      I'd argue that that's just based on since records began being kept. George Washington likely had a 92+% rating based on the fact that he was "Him" at the time. James Madison likely had similar numbers since, again, he was "Him."

    You probably already know this, but Teddy Roosevelt was shot once, just as he was about to give a speech. After getting initial treatment, he went up, said "I have just been shot", and then gave the entire speech, before seeking further medical attention.
    Another anecdote is some guy stole his boat when he was at a lake one time, so Teddy built his own boat, chased down the robber, and successfully retrieved his boat back

    Woodrow Wilson was a vicious racist. His promotion of the film "birth of a nation" and his many outspoken racist statements lead in part to the rebirth of the kkk, who were up till then operating on the background since Grant's presidency. Also, Wilson suffered a stroke during the end of his 2nd term, and his wife, Edith Wilson, basically assumed power, acting independently with the mask of being the only person allowed to speak to or see her husband. This is why many refer to her as the USA's first female president

    James Garfield is a big "what if?" President. He was a very wise and passionate person, great politician, and firm believer in meritocracy. He was shot by a guy who campaigned for his election and than demanded a position in cabinet as a reward. But Garfield could've survived. He died of infection, because his doctor tried to remove the bullet from his body without any precaution or sterilization. If only they left the bullet in Garfield's body, he would've survived, and imo he would've been considered today as one of the better presidents in American history

    Polk is a very interesting president to me. He is the president that gained the most territory for America. He also promised when elected to rule for only 4 years, and during these 4 years he fulfilled the entirety of his election promises. After his first term, because he was popular, the democrats wanted to renominate him, but he refused, both because he promised to only serve the one term, and because at that point his health was ailing, and he died a few months after he stepped down.

    As much as some people lambaste Jackson for the Indian Removal Act, it was a mutual agreement he made with the leaders of many Native American tribes. Both Jackson and Tribal leaders were convinced that their cultures could not coexist in such close proximity, so the Act gave Jackson the power to negotiate relocation agreements (including Federal funding for such relocations).
    The infamous Trail of Tears was carried out under Martin Van Buren's dictates, placing General Winfield Scott (who Jackson had twice tried to court-martial for his racist attitudes towards Native Americans) in command. Scott violated most every aspect of the relocation agreement; refused to provide transportation, denied them supplies, forced them to take an arduous meandering route, and extorted them for river crossings and what supplies they were able to obtain.
    Despite Jackson's fierce reputation (upon leaving Office, he announced his regret for not shooting his first VP John Calhoun and not hanging Kentucky Senator Henry Clay), by the time he heard about the atrocities committed during the Trail of Tears he was so far gone from age and old injuries that he couldn't do anything about it.

    Truman also was the first us president to acknowledge the state of Israel in 48
    Kennedy also was planning to re institute the gold standard. So we wouldn’t have to rely on the US Treasury.

    Adams didn't do a corrupt bargain at all.
    Henry Clay and John Quincy Adams had basically the same policies

    • @Zitsanrael1117
      @Zitsanrael1117 Pƙed 15 dny

      The corrupt bargain refers to the actual means by which Adams won the election. The election of 1824 was a 4-way race between JQ Adams, Andrew Jackson, then Secretary of the Treasury William Crawford, and then Speaker of the House Henry Clay. Andrew Jackson won a plurality of both the electoral college and the popular vote, by rather significant margins I might add, however no one won a majority of the electoral college which is what is required to win the Presidency. In the scenario that no one wins a majority of the electoral college, the House of Representatives chooses the President. However, they can only pick from the top 3 candidates so since Henry Clay came in last he was disqualified, leaving 3 options: Adams, Jackson, & Crawford. Now despite Jackson being the most popular candidate with the American people, Henry Clay infamously HATED Jackson, and remember his position at the time, he was the Speaker of the House. So since Clay was ineligible to win, it's widely believed that he cut a deal with Adams; that he would use his influence in the House to get Adams elected and in return Adams would appoint him as Secretary of State, which Adams did when he took office in March of 1825. This was noticed even back then, as the American people were beyond MAD with how the election played out. Jackson and his followers came back with a vengeance and absolutely destroyed Adams in the election of 1828.
