Thanks for the heads up! I’ll be careful

So are you
wait what where 😭
The Tetris effect is such a trippy one to experience, there’s a time I played a shit lot of MineSweeper and I was literally making boards in my head and solving them
The same thing happened to me with sudoku 😭
I had that experience... With chess... Seeing random diagonal or orthogonal moves in scenaries of my town or house, kind of scary and weird tbh
Thats just s k i l l
i stay up reading a lot (im reading percy jackson) and i misread several words as "Percy" whn im tired 0_o
I've had it happen with Beat Saber, VrChat, and Deep Rock Galactic. Whenever I'd close my eyes I'd see those respective games very, very vividly, and in the case of DRG it was always something of value like morkite or nitra.
The Paint Explainer effect: it occurs when an individual watches The Paint Explainer CZcams channel and they think they're smarter than other people.
Its other name, the Dunning-kruger effect

I really enjoy these kind of videos I’m glad I discovered this channel I particularly enjoyed the logical fallacies
Yes bro this guy is really amazing
Facts bro
To anyone who’s played minecraft long enough you’ll soon see 3x3 squares as crafting table, truely a Tetris effect moment.
One time in the car, the view was looking out to the sea, and I was legit waiting for the Minecraft World to load fully …
Just had me playing minecraft in my dreams just a day ago.
My classmate is a huge spider-man games fan and one time he was on a roof looking at buildings and said "where's the web shoot button"
Talking about caves in class and then some kid says "I thought glowstone was only found in the nether" LOL

I have experienced the Tetris Effect twice.
There were a couple weeks last year where I played Tetris for a few hours every day. It got to the point that I struggled to fall asleep because, when I closed my eyes to try and sleep, I saw Tetris. I was playing the game in my mind, while I was still awake. This also happened when I'd get bored and zone out, even with my eyes open.
During quarantine, I played Overwatch pretty much non-stop. Same thing happened: I could see the game when I closed my eyes. The one I remember most vividly was when I selected Ana and walked out of defenders spawn A on Hollywood, before opening my eyes thinking "wait, I'm not at my tv-" This happened a lot during that time.
It is *such* an interesting phenomenon to experience.
Had something similar when I used to play Rainbow Six. Every time I saw one of these spherical CCTV cameras I had the urge to shoot it
i once played some silly hexagon flipping game and those hexagons were stuck in my head for ages after i stopped
it happened to me when i used to play fallout 4 8 hours a day. I would see it it things and dream it very often.
I experience this a lot:
* beat saber notes flying at my face when I close my eyes (but not in a scary way)
* piano notes falling down to the bottom of my vision (osu mania)
* hearing specific explosion sounds or other sound effects (the finals)
* seeing a cube jumping and dodge about (geometry dash)
* seeing lots of bullets I need to dodge from a birds eye view (tohou bullet hell)
Same happened to me back in high school, but with megas XLR cartoon series. I've binge watched entire series in just two days, when I would go to sleep, all I would see or hear were robots and fighting noises. Also dreamed about the cartoon for two nights straight
You should do a video explaining every scientific law
Edit: holy balls this blew up.
Yes, please!
Which ones would he stop at? Newton's, Maxwell, Einstein, Planck....
2 million years later: video complete
And explain that they are only laws and not causes
@@BirdRaiserEThere arent thaaaat many stablished scientific laws compared to the number of theories and hipothesis, it may be a long video, but certainly not that long . Also be noted reality isnt composed of scientific laws, or laws in general, those are ultimately human isolated simplifications of observed interactions/correlations, that may, or may not, be as described; we literally cant know.
do one on art styles/movements. should be easy [or perhaps not] but nevertheless fun. realism, tenebrism, abstract, conceptual, academic, figurative, cubism, dadaism, mannerism, chiaroscuro, surrealism, hyperrealism, naturalism, impressionism, primitivism, modernism, and so on.
i can almost hear your voice going over each of those terms now. hahaha!
Yeah he should do this one
that would be really interesting!
Does anyone else just wait for this guy to upload. Like a guilty pleasure
Always 😅
Guilty? No
Why would it be guilty?
Thought I was the only one
you have been found guilty of watching the paint explainer. how do you plead?
I had the tetris effect when working for an architect. I didn't just see walls anymore, I specifically saw the thickness and requirements for them all around me, knowing that this wall is 16 cm thick, this one must be made of cinder blocks and so on
This almost started to happen to me after doing a lot of work in blender. I more easily imagined everything being made as a 3d model with some textures instead of a real thing

That feeling when you're not sure if you're good enough to have imposter syndrome.
That doesnt make any sense at all. Wtf are you trying to say? Imposter Syndrome is feeling like your situation is fake and that you made it there based on fraudulent reasons, not because you were good enough
@@anonymousperson3023 It's a joke, lemme explain it. An artist who is successful that thinks they are bad have imposter syndrome. That artist could know they have imposter syndrome, but still feel that way.
The joke is that you don't even know if you can call yourself successful to begin with, so you don't know if you're actually just a fraud who is fooling themselves.
Which is technically a form of imposter syndrome.
This is actually accurate. A lot of people with imposter syndrome don't believe they can have imposter syndrome because they aren't good enough to qualify for imposter syndrome, or that they are just objectively bad so it doesn't apply to their work. Even just the feeling that you've rocked by on mediocre skills or aren't good enough at what you do to do something even though you did it already or just slightly differently. As someone fighting to get past this block. It sucks and can grow debilitating in the worst cases. You know that objectively you can do it. Mentally you're losing too anxiety and that constant feeling that you're just going to make a mistake and don't deserve the responsibility or work.
@@N0FoxGivenSource? (Not in a negative way)
The first part of the "certainty effect" reminds me of Pokémon Nuzlocke challenges. Do you click Scald to lose your Pokémon but get that Charizard into Aqua Jet OHKO range, or do you click Hydro Pump and have an 80% chance to knock out the Charizard but also a 20% chance to lose your entire run?
Also, fun fact: "Einstellung" is a German word that translates to "setting", as in your computer settings, or "position", as in a political position.
Yeah, just like this, competitive pokemon has a lot of risk management

When they say bouba i think of something round? Sounds about right
because of boobs and boba
When they picked a name for what could look like water splashing, possibly from a bubble, they shouldn't have picked "Bouba", which has a such similarity with "bubble". the reply above also explains that some people experience the opposite effect. these things are why I think the "Bouba and Kiki" Effect might be not be a good theory/law.
Of course, I'm open to criticism

Was surprised at Birthday Number Effect because it is LITERALLY showing my birthday. Gonna be hard to get past that one...
One time I was watching a video about the economics on Google Maps and one of the stock footage clips fixated on my city, which is an obscure but large city and it startled me and I couldn’t concentrate for a few minutes.
That is the Kikiest Bouba I've ever seen.

The probability in the first one is only the same if we assume that the number of black balls in the bag is chosen randomly as well. Otherwise we are working with limited information to calculate the probability.
Saw that too! We need to know if they are iid distributed to calculate the probability.
So his conclusion is right, there is missing information so we'd psychologically rather pick red if we are missing the information that black has the same probability.

My Tetris effect moment was when I began having what felt like the most lucid dreams I had ever experienced about this video game that had never even been that popular. It was like the next sequel of the game had been released but I was just behind the character, not even looking at a screen. The weird thing is that I had another dream like that half a year ago even though I hadn't played it since quarantine. The name of the game is Knack if anyone was wondering.
This is really neat. It'd be pretty cool if there was a version that explained the naming conventions behind these.

Tetris? Fire in the hole 🗣🔥🔥
The Tetris Effect is very weird.
Sometimes I wake up, and think to myself that I have to do a quest (like going to the volcano and slay the dragon or something) in order to get out of bed, resulting in me almost missing my bus
Me and my brothers used to have a nonsense "language" where we would refer to things with a gibberish word off the top of our heads. I think the way we assigned names is closely related to the bouba-kiki effect, in that we would use many consonants like k,t,q,p or x when referring to hard or sharp objects.
The Paint Explorer: "... to associate bouba with a rounded shape and-"
Me: *immature snickering*
0:23 I feel like most people would say the opposite
I think most people would be in the middle, ambiverts
Sometimes if I'm recording something, whether it be audio or video, it helps to have someone watching because otherwise it feels like your talking to no one even though you technically aren't
One of the creepiest things ive ever heard has had to do with the existence of the uncanny valley. Since it is biologically inate in all of us that means at some point in human history there was an evolutionary reason to be afraid of something that looked human but wasnt.
It is likely related to the period of coexistence between homo sapiens and homo neanderthalensis.
Yeah, there were multiple species of humans coexisting at the same time so it makes sense to have an instinct that lets you detect other homo sapiens sapiens.
Skinwalkers aren't real don't be ridiculous. Nobody watches you while you sleep. Your house is safe. There's nothing in the darkness.
The most close at hand explanation seems like it would be corpses and very ill people. An unburied and unburnt corpse means something dangerous killed a person here, since no one then took the time to give them a funeral; better leave immediately. A very ill person could be contagious, better leave immediately.
The first example is not actually the same probability, I think? In the first is always a 1/3 meanwhile in the other one there could be 19 black balls and 1 white so it's a way bigger chance or there could be 1 black ball and 19 white unless I understood something wrong 'cause it's never stated that there are 10 of each
It's black and white balls, not black or white balls, the and implies equal distribution imo.
That’s what causes the ambiguity - insufficient information. If you _knew_ the distribution of the other 20 balls in advance, the probability of picking a black ball wouldn’t be ambiguous. And the effect is that people prefer the option to pick a red ball because that probability is known over picking a black ball where the probability is anywhere from zero to twice as good.
@@trevinbeattie4888it says same probability tho

Fun Fact: the streisand effect is named after an incident in 2008 where a drone photographer was sued by Barbara Streisand because he had taked and published a photo he took of one of her mansions and she didn't want everyone to know where she lived, however no one actually knew before that it was Barbara Streisand's mansion until she got mad about it, leading to everyone finding out about where Barbara Streisand lives
