ok
congrats on the sponsor
I love how you’re telling me your marketing secrets and still advertising to me.
There couldn't possibly be a smoother ad read.
Ok
"Military grade" is actually a really ironic claim, because the military basically always has to choose the cheapest option
Not to mention most militaries use decades old tech.
Which is honestly quite strange, given the amount of money the US throws at their military.
@Dusk_Shade
I mean not really, we keep using them because they still work (also replacing thousands of fighters would take dozens of years).
For every F15, A10 and F16 we still fly there is an F4, A4, or F111 that has been scraped.
@@Dusk_Shadecorruption isn’t cheap
Anyone remember Rumsfield's missing trillions?
Y'know, I appreciate you putting the sponsor segment where it's relevant!
Also, it employs some tactics that were discussed previously
A lot of these tactics are the reason Ad-Block programs exist. Especially since internet advertisers tend to engage in what I call "invasive advertising", or advertising where they treat the ads as more important as the content, often to the point where the ads are more in the way of the content rather than helping to support the content. Such advertisers tend to forget that people come to the net to search for things...not to have things thrown in their face that they have no interest in.
There's been at least one complete cycle of this too. There was a point a couple of decades ago where sites realised that if they asked to be whitelisted in exchange for keeping the ads reasonable and kept that promise, people would be willing to do that and they'd make more advertising revenue overall. When that policy became widespread, people stopped using adblockers because they generally weren't worth the effort... and then advertisers started pushing the boundaries until we got to the current situation where adblock use is increasing rapidly again. Hopefully that moment of realisation will come soon. I do feel guilty using an adblocker and I like advertising in moderation because sometimes I am interested in what's being advertised, but if I whitelist a site and suddenly I have half a dozen videos popping up all over the screen obscuring what I'm trying to look at... sorry, I'll be removing that whitelisting REAL quick.
This is due to the fact that main purpose of advertising is to reach as many potential buyers as possible, content is a must have but compared to ads it is a secondary need, if your add sucks no matter how good a content is, nobody will see it anyways because they will skip it, but if the ad is successful people are much likely to perform a target action despite the bad content.
By the way, in most businesses 8 out of 10 customers come from advertising, only 20% or less are from organic traffic
@@paveldisgutich9665 I'd question whether making ads more intrusive actually helps, though. An old-fashioned banner ad can get the message to people who'd be receptive to the advertisement. Ads that do things like expanding to cover half the screen, by contrast, carry a risk of annoying the visitor enough to get them to avoid the site (at least not without an adblocker). And the rise of malvertising is just making the pressure to use adblockers by default greater.
I love how this is inadvertently an ad for Adblock itself
@@froggman66 ublock origin on top
This is also a marketing trick. It's called "making an actual good and useful content"
Ummmmm sure
Now it is...
The more subs, the less effort you have to put in.
Made me think of the meeting meme where the one guy actually making a good suggestion gets thrown out the window.

Straight to the point, on topic, and quick. Right on!
There are so many copies of this channel! But the OG is always the best
Paint Guy for example.
@@AddinRoyale Paint guy is pretty good actually, but yeah he is a copy lol
The tile one is actually one of the ones that surprised me the most. I know about alot of marketing tactics but that one was new to me. Fascinating
Not technically marketing, but it gets used on roads as well - regular minor bumps approaching an intersection, pedestrian crossing, or something else you're supposed to slow down for, growing closer together as you approach as a subconscious hint to slow down.

@B3Band Honestly pretty impressive for having zero content
@@B3BandWhat a stupid comment. You don't need to be a youtuber to critique youtubers.
It looks to me that unless you're making brainrot fortnight skibbidi brainrot for toddlers, most youtube users crave "high quality" engaging, thoughtful, interesting videos.
If paint explainer devolves by continuing to repeat the same things over and over, padding out the video length without adding any real substance, he'll probably continue to grow, but would quickly hit a stopping point.
It's important to be vocal about your opinions because despite their intelligence and access to an incredible amount of data, they can't read minds, and can easily forget their core values
@@B3Band yeah its called constructive criticism
@@B3Band Ah yes, because numbers explain every single detail of every single thing no matter what.
There is something about this format of explanation that I really really like but cannot explain why.

Another video I didn't know I needed! Keep it up 💪
HMMMMMMMMMM
Your both great btw
I first saw this channel when it had 3 videos and 1000 subscribers, even those 3 have been extremely popular and inspired many copycat channels. 250K subs in, and I know this channel is gonna be one of the greats.
Ive been watching since the beginning! Great content man i really think your content is unique and think your animating style is simple but effective. Keep up the good work
I love your videos so much, very informative and fun to watch
Just found your channel and I love it. Never stop
Ngl that sponsorship was slick 💯
I love this chanel, his content feels original in it's own way and he has his own style to his videos.
Like how CGB grey did.
This has been a fun informational and interesting series
One of the best yt channel out there at the momen. Keep up the great work
Its nice having a description of the advertising tactic before the ad.
I even turned my sponsor blocker off too actually watch it for a very rare change 🤯
This channel is pure gold!
My boi pumping out the content with the hard work
Creating genuinely valuable content is indeed a marketing strategy that resonates. Kudos for placing the sponsor segment seamlessly - it's a breath of fresh air! The irony in "military-grade" is spot-on; while the term implies superiority, the reality often involves choosing budget-friendly options. It's a clever twist on perception versus reality.
My favorite channel on this app
Each video keeps the same quality. Love seeing it.
I love these videos please dont stop making them
So confused how this channel got so many subs in such a short time but I’m here for it!
Good job brother! Love your video's!
Awesome video, very imformative, will be using this information in the future. Thanks and nice job!
Loving the content. Quick and accurate.
Accurate. Everything i use to love about news.
I love this channel def gonna blow up
Paint Explainer casually dropping a sponsor after explaining exactly why its a trick
Great video, gotta love the product sponsor bit just getting slipped in so smoothly.
Congrats on the sponsorship! Feels like a CZcamsr rite of passage.
Babe wake up. New educational and entertaining channel just dropped
5:07 “there’s no such thing as a free lunch”
More the paint explorer videos? Yes please!
i feel like i'm watching my son graduate from school with that sponsored segment. geeze you've come far
Now this is a good channel
5:40 there was a hungarian ad for the CBA store which everybody just called Kasszás Erzsi.
All I can say is that here are the lyrics in hungarian from memory:
Az én nevem
A Kasszás Erzsi
Itt dolgozom
Imádok én itt lenni
Rendet tartok
Tiszta bolt az áru friss, itt vagyok
Nyugodtan kérdezhetsz is
És mosolyogsz már
Mindenki vidám
Ez az én filozófiám
És vissza vár, Erzsi [insert small chuckle here]
This ad is like 10 years old if not more.
Edit: I cheked and its about 7.

Oooh, your new video, nice! That's helpful to know some marketing tricks.
business will be booming after this one 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥
I was there before the 100k and the million subs, cheers 🎉
The "Introductory Rate" is actually intended to be used as a B2B arrangement for products where the reseller has to buy their stock in order to later sell it to the end customer. It allows for a low payment of just interest while trying to sell the product. It's common in automobile and house sales. It was _never_ intended for use by regular consumers and the banks that made it available are straight stupid and/or evil.
Straight to the point

the art is getting better
There's is no "art".
@@LumaSloth 7:15 what was that?
@@LumaSloth art is subjective,it is something that people use to express themselves so stop saying "BuT ThIs Isn'T ArT",the banana taped to a wall may not be your kind of art but it's still art,the fact that you consider it cheap and stupid doesn't disqualify the fact that it's art

Best channel ever
I've became three times smarter thanks to this guy❤
Subliminal advertising only works when you prime the customer beforehand on that product. An example would be priming someone with thirst and then subliminally showing them messages of Dasani water so that they buy Dasani. However, I doubt companies would do this since its too difficult and there is already other methods
How hard is it
Wait at the end of a marathon and put your powerthirst banners shirts and free drinks there
Crowds would be thirsty by contagious thirst (like a yawn when everyone does one)
OR give every free spicy food at a festival then have portables (portaloos) with advertising for the silkiest silk paper for the hole and they'll line up for miles
wait, the decoy effect actually broke my brain, this works too well
@2:09 Well done! 😄
Yep

The chemical-free marketing thing always bugged me so much, nice to find out it's not just me being crazy its an actual marketing move. It's crazy how effective it is, so many people think of the word "chemical" as bad and "natural" as somehow different and good.
