I’m CZcams’s American Presidents guy now, apparently, and breaking news 39 American Presidents have died. Now, some of them have been dead for awhile. In this video, we’re going to look at how every President in American history died.
I would argue that being President is the most dangerous job in the world. 18% of them have died while on the job. 9% of them were assassinated. In fact, there was a period of about 122 years in which EIGHT Presidents died WHILE IN OFFICE.
Now, you could say that Presidents tend to be older when they take office, and that is a fair point.

A lot of those presidents died from heart problems or strokes...stress can often be a contributing factor to heart attacks and stroke. That is scary to think. Look at how they aged in just a few years in office. A lot of us like to talk trash about the presidents for not doing a good job, but just take a moment to realize how difficult a job it must be. Being POTUS is like being the single parent of a 3 year old.
Plus, a lot of them had all sorts of medical conditions before, so that didn't help
Or 330 million 3 year olds 😄
@@iammrbeat good zinger!

Most people die of heart attacks and a lot die of strokes
I love that Coolidge knew the carpenter's name. Little things like that say a lot about someone's character.
That is so chilling from Grant saying "water" just before his death. That would be such a painful way to die basically slowly being suffocated by a cancerous growth in the throat.
Fun fact: Andrew Jackson had a pet African Gray parrot and its said at his funeral, the bird proceeded to swear as loud as possible in front of all the mourning tenants. He caused such a ruckus, he had to be carried out of the house in order for the service to continue.
He was actually carried out of the room initially, but he was so loud that he eventually had to be removed entirely.
Popcorn
Man, that sucks. It's hard to tell, but if that bird really loved him, he might have been stressing out from the grief and repeating phrases he had heard.
I’m sure Jackson would’ve laughed his ass off had he seen that.
As Jackson was an avowed racist, I wouldn't be surprised if the bird used the N-word. It prolly heard it a lot from it's owner. Imagine that.....squawking "N*****! N*****! throughout the service for it's dead, scummy owner.
Polk's last words brought tears to my eyes. He passed peacefully, while being able to spend his final moments alone with his wife of 25 years, whom he professed his eternal love to before going. Nothing else was more important to him in his final moments besides his wife. No doubt the love they had was real, as she stayed a widow for 42 years after until her death. Makes sense why it was the last thing he wanted to say and for her to know before she could never hear him say it again. An incredibly sweet and lovely way to pass.
Colonel Ezekiel Polk. The family had to hide his tombstone while Polk was campaigning for president.
Ikr I wonder how much pain his wife wudve felt.
no death is ever truly ‘peaceful’. everyone will grieve the life on earth they’re getting taken away while they’re dying. but pretty sweet that he got to remind her of his ‘eternal’ love even when he is no more :(

She said he told her that after tomorrow the Irish problem would be over. He was a big womanizer. A creepy thought, but true. I have seen it a couple of times. There is also one where the telephone operator at Parkland Hospital took a call from him asking if the president was dead. He did not say who he was and he did not disguise his voice. Every Texan knew him and his voice. He called three times. From the time this happened when I was 8 years old I always believed he was part of it. That is why Oswald had to die. I have thought for a long time that LBJ, J. Edgar Hoover, and George HW Bush were part of the group. Bush was working with the CIA recruiting Cuban fighters and was in Dallas that day. He was working between Houston and Miami during the week.
@@Maya-bu2rf I totally, totally agree with you, and did not know of the mistress and telephone calls.
Oswald had to go, and it was obvious that the shooting of him was staged at the police station. Ruby just happens to have a gun on him, just happens to meet face-to-face with Oswald, on the right day, the right hour of the day, the right area.
Old Slinky in his limo said it all when he slumped down in the back seat when turning into the plazza, leaving his wife open to a stray bullet.
The U.S administration and U.K have a great deal of blood upon their hands, and are not above having people murdered, as with Kennedy, and I strongly suspect Lincoln, that Lincoln had to go, and a way was made for him in the Ford theatre
@@gailbirchall2163 I watched a history detectives show where they went into the National Archives and found letters written by Lincoln to get an Army Quartermaster off court martial charges twice. He did it as a political favor and even says he hopes to get votes from Mississippi because of this. He was afraid he would not be re-elected. The Quartermaster was getting Union soldiers onto paddle boats to ship them up the Mississippi River to get them home after the war. This was ten days after the death of Lincoln. The boat was built for about 300 passengers. In his greed he put 2000+ soldiers and some civilians onto a boat called the Sultana. It sank due to overcrowding and about 1800 people died. No one was blamed and charged. The detectives said there was more than enough evidence to impeach Lincoln so they thought he would prefer to be dead! I saw it on Amazon prime tv. I have a friend who was related to Dr. Mudd who helped John Wilkes Booth by setting his leg. What I do not understand is if he had a broken leg how did he get away from the theater? I was always a history fan, but I never heard of the sinking of the Sultana until the show.

Great content! Truly remarkable to see how every President died!
Theodore Roosevelt was honestly so badass I could actually picture him fighting off whatever was trying to kill him on the inside.
He would challenge professional boxers to fight him and he would hunt and fight animals
America's greatest president. We need another one like him.
he also survived an assassination attempt
He also is what teddy bears were named after- he was known as Teddy Roosevelt because he refused to shoot a baby bear while out on a hunting trip. :)
@Max Perlmutter He disliked being called "Teddy". People still called him that, 'tis well...
@Max Perlmutter he had a 500 page speech in his pocket that slowed the bullet enough that it didn't get to his lungs!
My Mom was 12 when JFK was assassinated. She told me so much about it. I'm blessed to have my 71 year old Mom still with me...

That was abrupt, but hilarious!
To help people understand what killed Gerald Ford:
- arteriosclerotic cerebrovascular disease: his brain wasn't getting enough blood flow
- diffuse arteriosclerosis: his blood vessels all around his body were stiffening up to the point of no longer being able to properly carry blood

Dwight Eisenhower's last words are very terrifying
Another great video!
“I am going.”
“I hope not sir.”
“Perhaps it is best.”
This is the funniest exchange of last words I have ever heard, I’m sorry bro 😭
“ima go out to the after life“
“why“
“cause I wanna“
"Aight, imma head out"
My last conversation needs to go like this
“Water”
Bro hit the off button 💀
"'Tis Well." Washington was such a boss on every level. To be offered a lifetime rule and turn it down; that is a rare man indeed. The stuff of legends. Not exactly a "hot take" or controversial opinion, but Washington and Lincoln will forever be my favorite U.S. Presidents.
Great comment. I couldn't agree more. 🖖 Live Long And Prosper ✨💫
Washington was not hungry for power and wealth . Unlike other presidents , kings , dictators , Sultans who glued themselves to the throne because the wealth that they plundered were not enough !
Washington, JFK, and Teddy Roosevelt
Here's something interesting about George Washington. He was afraid of being buried alive, so he gave instructions to be buried at least two days after he died.
My favourite presidents would be Washington lincoln and teddy roosevelt.

Another impressive thing about Hoover is that he was the only ex-president for nearly 20 years. From the time FDR became president on March 4, 1933, until the time Harry Truman left office on January 20, 1953.
Great word play
As someone who has a extreme fear of death, the quote, "I love you, sarah, for all eternity, I love you." Is pretty bittersweet to me
FAIR WARNING: Some of the deaths here may be a bit mind-blowing.
