  • Follow these instructions to assemble the RadRunner Plus electric utility bike. Be sure to perform all safety checks in the owner’s manual including a handlebar twist test, ensuring the front wheel is properly secured, and all parts are tightened and torqued properly.
    Depending on when your bike was manufactured, you might still receive an ebike with a quick release axle, in which case use the instruction found in this video and your owners manual. If you received an ebike with a bolt-on axle, follow the installation steps in the link below, in place of the front wheel installation steps described in the assembly video and your Owner’s Manual. All ebikes come with Quick Release skewer to secure the fork protector plate during shipping, but it will not be required for assembly if you have a bolt-on axle.
    This link will also help you determine which type of axle is on your front wheel if you are unsure: support.radpowerbikes.com/Mai...
    Some RadRunner Plus ebikes come with the passenger seat not yet installed on the rear rack. If your RadRunner Plus came packaged that way, follow the directions in the RadRunner Passenger Package Installation Guide to install your passenger seat. You can skip the steps for installing the foot pegs and the wheel skirts, which come pre-installed on your RadRunner Plus.

    Not much talk about the battery - first charge etc. but in the manual it suggests you are good for a test ride on delivery then you must be strict about a 12-hour charge.. it wasn't made obvious during the unboxing and build tho so thought I'd mention it.

    So I'm in Europe and looking at buying one but the pictures on the euro website has the bike with no passenger package or upgraded front light but when you look at the accessories separately they say they are included with the rad runner plus. Can anyone confirm that they come with the euro version or not?

    • @RadPowerElectricBikes
      @RadPowerElectricBikes  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Robert!
      The version of the RadRunner Plus visible on the European website is exclusive to European customers.
      It holds a 250W motor, 7-speed drivetrain and can hold a full payload capacity of 136 kg.
      Unlike the US version, or original limited edition RadRunner Plus, this RadRunner Plus does not include a passenger pack or Premium headlight. It is, however, sold at a lower price and has a halo headlight (seen on the RadRhino).
      As with all European Rad Power Bikes models, the RadRunner Plus holds a Twist-power assist, and not a throttle (as seen on US & CA models).

      @@RadPowerElectricBikes And that is what makes us all cry.
      If Europe and the governments are constantly talking about emission reductions, more tax to diesels, etc, they should stop making the Ebikes so boring and not so useful, compared to North America.
      Also, if i convert the prices, the EU version is still more expensive, at least 30 bucks, with less stuff. So i dont know what you mean by "are sold at a lower price". Well, maybe a year ago, that used to be the case, could be that too...

      I have a socket wrench set, plus a Stanley set with different hex nut drivers. Works like a charm. You can get under the saddle, or anything without laying under it. I think each set was less than $20. Even if you did put it together without, get it for the future. Bikes need it a lot through the years.
