@@nicdymes4900 I couldn't agree more. I was going to reply with pretty much exactly what you wrote! There's no way Mark Cuban is going to let him leave. The Mavericks kept Dirk for all those years. There's no reason to think it will be any different for Luka. You don't trade a generational talent like Dirk or Luka. I also think that Luka is a really loyal guy just like Dirk was.
I just hope he stays healthy and has a long career, not only for his sake, but for how fun he makes the league as a whole. I genuinely think he's going to be an MVP candidate for the next 15 years. The Mavs will start winning more and more games, and every NBA player is going to want to play on a team with Luka. I'm a Sixers fan, but he's already my favourite non-Sixers player. Fucking love watching this kid play!

It's hard to justify his basketball decisions, especially with getting talent to Dallas, but I'm pretty sure the man takes care of his players. It would shock me if they didn't compensate Dirk for all the years he put into that organization, with carrying them and handing them their first and only title. As a Mavs fan, I would really love to see Luka as a lifer, but with how the NBA is these days with players going wherever they want, Mark better do everything in his power to keep this kid happy. I really hope they draft well over the next few years, because I don't see the top of the top NBA players heading to Dallas. I know they just got KP, but that is a 50 50 depending on how he handles his injuries. I think Dallas with have a chance to make the playoffs this upcoming year, maybe at the 8th seed. But We'll see. Im excited for the next few seasons in Dallas. It was getting rough before Luka showed up. lol

Luka really is a second coming of Larry Bird's amazing ability. This kid can shoot it with the best of them and has amazing vision. He has the advantage of being taller than the average guard so he can see over the defense. Also if you notice a lot of his points come in the clutch. I mean the 11-0 Luka run to finish the Rockets is missing from this video.
Luka is pretty much the point guard of the future, he's basically Ben Simmons, with a polished step back jumper that he can hit from anywhere.
Just wait till he starts training his body, and will be a beast after this summer.

They say he didn't play second half of the season as good as first half but they miss two things. Luka came to NBA after a crazy long season he won the championship and the MVP of Euro League. He didn't have any opportunity to rest and recover. Also Dallas tanked second half of the season and he didn't push himself much. Next season every one will see what he's made of. He's gonna be a super star.

I like Trae Young he's going to be great but Luka is clearly ROTY it really shouldn't even be debatable. Prior to the All-Star break, Trae was struggling, Luka has been consistent all year round and has put up truly historic numbers it's an easy pick if you ask me.
Before the break he was doing good as well. But his numbers increased exponentially so it looks like he wasn’t doing well. He proved himself as a facilitator & as a takeover type player with his high scoring performances. Doncic has more quality performances but Trae has better quality performances. The race isn’t as far as you think, it’s close.
@@cormel6895 It isn't close at all the award is called Rookie of the Year, Trae was struggling at the beginning of the season FACT. Luka has been putting in good performances all season long. Trae may have more impressive games but as a whole body of work, Luka wins it all day.

Rookie of the Year goes to whoever they feel had the best quality performances for the corresponding year. Kyrie won the award playing like 50 games so I think it’ll be a close one this year like Mitchell and Simmons.

This much (14 minutes+) of highlights as a rookie is amazing in the first place.
And there are many missing. Faking Kyrie all the way back to Cleveland and the 11-0 run against Houston to win a game after being down by 8 in the last 2 minutes, even some more assists and moves could've made it there.

Luka is strong and keeps balance while actively inducing physical contact. He does a lot of simple layups to guarantee scoring buckets. He's one of the few guys who start playing with their brains early in the career, and that's so rare.
Luka's young, but the way he plays around the rim seems incredibly hard on his body. Hope he stay injure free for a potentially all-star career.

If the United States went by pure majority vote. The most populated urban areas and states would gain a massive advantage over the other areas.
Most of the population is focused in states with bustling urban metropolitan areas like New York, California, Pennsylvania, etc etc. While they’re only a few states or so, their population totals exceed that of many states combined.
If we operated by majority vote, they would get favored heavily over these smaller, rural states. The electoral college evens the playing field.
