      Are there certain health conditions that predisposes patients to these complications? Or is it more about the surgeon’s technique & experience, or a combination of both?

    Hi, what do you do to ensure patient safety? How do you try and avoid fat Embolisms ? That and being under anesthesia is what is stopping me 😩.

    • @barrettplasticsurgery
      @barrettplasticsurgery  Před 3 lety +3

      in case of BBL it is important to avoid injecting fat into the muscles. Fat should be injected above the muscles in order to avoid complications. Also, anesthesia is very safe. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

I would have to travel and I know absolutely no one who can accommodate me,when it's time to recover fully. Fat viability depends a lot of surgeon technique. The fat has to be placed back into the buttocks as soon as possible so that it has a greater chance of survival. It has to be placed carefully so that not too much fat is placed in only one area.

    I see that some doctors “treat/purify” the fat prior to putting the fat back into the body versus removing the fat and letting the fat and other fluids separate and then putting that fat back into the body (not purifying it I guess). Which method do you find is best?

    • @barrettplasticsurgery
