I am Italian and I really appreciate your video. For me it is very useful, because at first I made the same mistakes but on the contrary, the same words. however, I want to reiterate to use "ciao" only with friends because in work contexts or those who do not know it is just an offense, especially if you talk to a person who has a certain job role and the word "vecchio" because on a person is an offense, it is like saying that that person is to be thrown away, damaged, but we use it in tender terms for example: > . In this case we use diminutive "vecchiETTO" to make understand it's not in bad way ;))))))))))

I am off to Venice again after the lockdown in October, and taking in-laws with me. I just want to be able to speak basic Venetian dialect when ordering food, an an early morning water-taxi!

We also use ciao in Serbian but we write it down like this ćao.

When I first learned the word 'caldo', I assumed its English cognate was 'cold'. Wrong!
I needed some device to associate 'freddo' with 'cold', so I reasoned that Freddo Frogs need to be kept cold in hot weather, or they'll melt! Whatever works right?!

The only one I can think of is to be careful if you order penne. The server will know what you want, but there will be laughter in the kitchen.

Italians don’t really say per favore like Italian-Amerifans/Canadians do. Hawaiian Pizza was crested by a Greek nkt an Italian in Canada.

I'm gonna troll them and be like, "You Italians don't know to make pizza! Us Americans know how to make pizza!" "You Italians don't know how to make pasta! Us Americans know how to make pasta!"
