Josh, I LOVE this conversational/freestyle approach--feels like we're sitting in the same room, having a down-to-earth conversation, you with such an insane amount of knowledge and expertise and me, the girl who is clueless when it comes to computers and tech.
Also, thank you for reaffirming my decision to go with the HP Omen for my son, taking AutoCAD classes at University. I based that decision on your reviews of the machine and thought I would share with you that my son has reported back to me how awesome it is performing for him. Granted, he's only had it for about two weeks, but it has made such a tremendous difference for him. Thank you for keepin' it real, keeping it understandable for this non-geek gal and all the best wishes for you and the continued success of your channel. All the thumbs up!

My favourite feature of the mac is 500 nits retina display. Nits really gets overlooked alot but I swear when I bought the mac book pro 16, I compared it to every other laptop in the shop and nothing came close to that screen! There are oled screens but the possibility of burn in frightens me. I reckon 4-5 year longevity with mac book and high resalable value after 2 years.

What a fun review! I’m looking forward to the MacBook Pro 14, too. The performance from the M1 Air & entry level Pro is supposedly higher than the MBP 16, so that makes really excited for the higher end models. I don’t know if I will choose the MBP 14 or 16 once the Silicon models are released. I’m also looking forward to the 24” iMac. My dad has the Intel version of the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 with 16GB Ram, and he loves it. The keyboard is really comfortable, but I do wish the screen was better.

The lighting is way better, but if I must nit-pick I think the highlights on your face are kind of harsh, perhaps the roll-off could be softer. Just a suggestion : When you talking about a particular laptop, please show more visuals of that laptop, it's keyboard etc for some more time on the screen.. That way it is a bit more engaging. Many places I felt I wanted to see more clips of the laptop being discussed, it's different screen (other than home screen), keyboard etc. Eg - in the IdeaPad, Omen, etc.

Thanks a lot, Josh. I ended up buying a 2-in-1 HP Envy after you gave a good review on this (if I´m not mistaken) and also the Spectre. I was VERY undecided between the Envy and this famous Lenovo 5 15"... but I wanted the 2-in-1 version with the stylus pen (either computer) and I couldn´t find them for less than CA$1350-1390 - A tough choice, and absolutely this same price for both. Well I chose HP´s larger 15" screen for intense work, programming (learning) and video, since I´ve had a 13" laptop for many years (Mac) and needed a change.
I´m afraid of leaving Apple but I´ll be back especially if they launch a 14" Macbook - that would be great.

Please, please, please review the Spectre 14” with the Tiger Lake chipset & 3:2 aspect ratio as soon as you get it. Very interested to see what spec you ordered, how it performs (thermals, fan noise), if the build quality is ok on this ‘new to HP’ form factor etc etc. It’s top of my list and I’ll order one as soon as I’ve seen your review (if you give it the thumbs up that is.) I really like the surface laptop a lot, I just wish they had a GPU option. Overall I've been happy with the surface book 13", but I would like something a little more flat and compact next time since I never use the tablet features. Maybe the Macbook Pro 14 if that ever comes out, that 16 is just too damn big for me.

Waiting for my Ideapad Flex 5 to arrive! It's not exactly the same laptop as the one in this vid but I'm happy that ideapads are acknowledged 😋 affordable with good specs, except for color accuracy which i dont mind, just using it for school (uni) work, note taking and kdramas ❤

Josh would you go for the T14 with the R7 Pro 4750u 32GB Ram 3200 512ssd 400nits lowpower display or maybe Macbook Pro 13 with the M1 16GB 256ssd would be better? What are your thoughts on it? Mainly use for coding, browsing the web and maybe a light logo creation with inkscape for four or five logos

Amazing as always Josh. Thanks. Can you recommend a laptop for me please. $1200 budget and I don't code and don't play games much. Battery life , keyboard and a good screen is all I need. It would be good if it's time proof. Meaning I won't need to change it for another 3 years or so. Thanks. Highly appreciate it

Thanks for sharing your experience. Shame that G14 didn't make it. (I'm aware of video you made about it with other laptops). It's the only laptop that interests me at the moment. Looking forward to new MBP 13" review. :-)
