I honestly think that version of night 5 is cooler than the one the video is about. The fact that you've been avoiding Ballora on your way to the scooping room, with all the unsettling noises as you walk through what I can only assume is the entrails of the dead maintenance workers. And then when you finally get to the scooping room, your greeted by the sight of all the animatronics in pieces, including Ballora. Now you're wondering, who the hell was I avoiding. And then it's all tied up nicely with the line that Circus Baby has already been scooped. It's pure horror. Plus the actual mini game of the normal night is relatively easy so that you're unlikely to get jumpscared because it would not only ruin the twist, but because the relative ease of the night compared to the rest is in itself unsettling, as no night 5 has ever been easy in the previous games. It's just so well crafted.

What makes this even more sad is that Baby thought Michael was William and Elizabeths soul was probably mad at her father for creating Baby after realizing the truth. But after discovering it was actually Michael, she might have felt guilty. Michael even states that they thought he was his father. Thats probably why after ennard escaped into the sewers, Baby kept repeating "you wont die." Not only knowing that Michael wouldn't die because of the Remnant, but because she might have still wanted him to live. In Pizzeria Simulator, however, Elizabeth changed and became more twisted and wanted to take on the role that Circus Baby was created for. She was so mentally and emotionally broken, they all were. Michael was just trying to be a good brother and save at least one of his siblings, since he failed his brother.

Even the actual ending is so creepy and disturbing and could be seen as a twist on the whole getting stuffed into a suit idea.

Ennard has always been one of the scariest animatronics for me. I feel like a major factor of what makes it so scary is the sound design. The squeaking of metal as it moves paired with Baby/Elizabeth voices just seems so unnatural. The metallic squeaking noises specifically just give off the vibe of 'NOTHING should be making that sound, mechanical or otherwise'
A point that was brought up that I heard before was that Ennard is somewhat akin to a mechanical Skinwalker, the way it uses its voice mimicry to try and lure/kill people, so it can then disguise as them
And the phrase "Circus Baby has already been here [the scooping room] today." REALLY conveys the feeling of 'Ennard isn't Circus Baby anymore... at least not entirely.'

The cold, inhuman metallic architecture, the feeling of supposedly empty rooms that you can’t help but feel is holding something that’s watching you, and the surprising incomprehensible size of the facility your trapped in not to mention how uniquely terrifying the Funtime’s were at the time they were the first animatronics (minus Springton) that felt fully sentient, the way they’re 100% aware of who you are and are OUT FOR BLOOD. First she talks about HER. Bribing you by acting like she is still one. And since she helped you so far, she hopes you will let her in.
However eventually she says WE. Not only ditching the old facade by revealing she is multiple, but also appealing to your sence of the greater good. Like if you help them escape, you help the world. And she keeps appealing to your sence of the greater good too. Hoping that if you feel bad enough about screwing only her over, what about screwing ALL of them over? And she keeps explaining that they only have one shot at what they are planning. If they fail, they die. So if you dont offer yourself to them, they will be killed. So help them... help the greater good.

The most stressful part about this 5th night to me is Baby’s lines. It perfectly encapsulates the fear and uncertainty of standing up to a manipulative person, hearing them try to continue manipulating you, then hearing them get more desperate and aggressive as they realize their manipulation no longer works, all the while uncovering the truth of who they really are. It haunts me on such a personal level.

    • @Terrifyger
      @Terrifyger Před 27 dny

I know this is late, but I agree. There's someone I used to be friends with who had bullied and manipulated me for years, and I stupidly let her do it because I was so incredibly naive and I wanted to be friends with her. When I eventually started calling her out on her lies, "desperate and aggressive" is the perfect way of describing how she reacted. She was a nice person in the early days of me knowing her, but over time, she developed into a mentally-ill, sociopathic bully with an unhealthy obsession with me. I'm of course no longer in communication with her, but I cut bridges with her far too late, and I was left effectively traumatized. Manipulative people are just the worst, because not only can their effects stay with their victims for a very long time (especially if said victims are extremely sensitive like me), but it really shows just how little humanity they have if they're so willing to actively trick other people for their own personal gain, to the point where they conjure up fabricated worlds of drama just to try and make their lies make sense. Which is exactly what this ex-friend had done with me.

I feel like Sister Location and Security Breach have A LOT in common, as if SB is the spiritual successor to SL. Gameplay-wise, you don't have five traditional nights but instead each night (or hours in Security Breach) have their own mechanism with a specific character or animatronic being the focus of the section.
There is free roam, although SL doesn't really have free roam, it only gives off that illusion since physically you can only move forward inside Funtime Auditorium and Ballora Gallery, but it certainly is an "experiment" in free roam, something SB fully embraced.
In both games, the animatronics are eerily human, with the likes of Funtime Freddy or Roxanne Wolf having human emotion, in their voices or behavior. Circus Baby literally talks to you as if she was a human being with her own motives. She literally teaches you a lesson in Night 4, about "pretending" (foreshadowing Ennard) and what the Scooping Room is.
Both games have the "classic FNAF" being thrown into the mix, with SL's Private Room (and Custom Night) and the security offices across SB's Pizzaplex with the exact same mechanics as classic FNAF.
Both games are also story driven: SL follows Michael trying to find his sister again, and dealing with all the animatronics, and SB follows Gregory, trying to find a way to escape the Pizzaplex and dealing with all the animatronics.
And finally both games are the only games that have a previous location in them: SL seems to have all FNAF 4 locations (minigames and actual gameplay) and SB has the FNAF 6 pizzeria underground. In both games those old locations don't seem to have any influence on the game they're in but they play an important role in their respective game's context: William Afton probably monitored the CC's room inside the Private Room, and was probably the mastermind behind most events in FNAF 4 using the Fredbear plushie, and the Mega Pizzaplex was intentionally built on top of the FNAF 6 location, where scraps were probably used for the newer animatronics, since Glitchtrap also comes from the FNAF 6 location and whose personality chip was reused later for the VR game, leading to the game being infected by Glitchtrap, who could then corrupt Jeremy and later Vanessa, turning her into Vanny. Perhaps the remains of Molten Freddy (before turning into the Blob) might have contained chips from the original Funtime Animatronics, who are, as a reminder, quite advanced and nearly "human". Those chips could have been used to create the personality chips that the Glamrocks have.
You can say whatever you want about SB. Personally I love the game, and the fact that it's so similar to SL in many ways makes it even better for me. SB is probably a tribute to Sister Location, an entry that unarguably had a big impact on the franchise and changed the face of FNAF forever. I'd argue it's pretty much the "beating heart", the "Pokemon Black and White" of FNAF.

When Ennard says “Circus Baby has already been here today” it made my stomach drop the first time hearing it, realizing that it wasn’t baby speaking, and also when she says that you can start to see Ennard on the other side of the glass which makes it even more terrifying. Then in the secret ending where Ennard starts using Elizabeth’s voice to try and manipulate the guard into letting them in, while being this terrifying disfigured amalgamation makes the whole experience even more terrifying knowing what they want to do to you.

I never noticed the mechanics from the previous games during the battle, but it makes sense. Though, if there was any Fnaf 3 additions to it, I'd say it would just be Ennard's intelligence.
Springtrap was quite literally one of the most intelligent and aggressive animatronics in the series. Though, Springtrap and Ennard are separate beasts. Springtrap is a blood-crazed beast, killing for fun/revenge. Ennard is a beast due to desperation, they kill to survive and to escape, which is similar to Springtrap but the motive for survival (at this point) is different.
So, I'd say the FNAF 3 contribution is simply a battle with a beast that constantly takes tactics from Springtrap to attack swiftly and ruthlessly. A "weapon to surpass Metal Gear", in a sense.
Edit: perhaps Watch Your Six could be another FNAF 3 addition/reference, giving the battle a creepy and sinister feeling much like the feeling in Fazbear Frights. Regardless, it's a great song to puts the point across of "clench your butt, kid. This'll be a hard duel".

So what actually happens is that when Ennard moves and arrives at the door, he has to wait for ANOTHER successful MO (50% of succeeding) to actually kill you. So theoretically he could stand at the door the entire night without ever killing you. Also, depending on how you play, the night isn't THAT tight on power, I've seen some people beat it with around 3-6% left, and I have been able to get a 15% remaining run aswell. The night is just one big gamble, it all depends on how much of a annoyance Ennard wants to be. That’s all I wanted to point out, great video by the way

I'd like to imagine all fnaf games that the security guard is just the same person with different names, at first he was an actual security guard bored with life... And then he started working at Freddy's pizza, after that. He or she just absolutely loves the thrill of near death experiences provided by the animatronics, whenever they "die" (in story) they just barely escape and laugh at themselves and instantly looks for another similar job. A little headcanon. I know it has many contradictions and problems to it but it's fun to imagine.

    • @GarbageEmpire
      @GarbageEmpire Před 2 lety +43

      You're close.
Based on context clues, it has been all but confirmed that the night guard for each game is Michael after the events of sister location, (excluding fnaf 4 and Ultimate Custom Night for obvious reasons). Mike Schmidt, Jeremy Fitzgerald and Fritz Smith are all aliases and he gets fired for tampering with the animatronics as Mike, while Jeremy and Fritz both sound exactly the same and seem to know exactly what the job is all about hence being able to canonically hold off 11 animatronics at once before Jeremy was let go of for the day shift, which Fritz worked for one day before being fired on the first day for tampering with the animatronics as well as for general odor. It used to be played off as sweat but generally you won't be fired for sweating a lot if you work entirely by yourself at night. The Michael's rotting yet alive body works better. Fnaf 3 keeps the night guard and ending date secret so you don't know when it takes place or who you're playing as, but the way Springtrap/William looks at the player through the cameras and glass of the hallway heavily suggests that he knows that it's his son and why he's there. Lastly, Pizzeria simulator seals the deal that it's Michael with Henry's final speech. Nobody else wanted the job and the animatronics that do hunt you have no reason to unless you by chance remind them of the man who murdered them. Any smarter soul would have throwed those rotting animatronics away, not unless they were planning to gather them anyway. "
"And to you, my brave volunteer, who found this job listing, not intended for you. There was a way out planned for you, but I have a feeling thats not what you want. I have a feeling that, you're right where you want to be."

@@GarbageEmpire 3 months late, but i personally believe fnaf 4 is also michael afton, its heavily implied to be the crying child, but, given that michaels own survival book shows that he knows the existence of the nightmare animatronics, and the easter eggs suggesting the person is in a medical facility, i like to think michael is really the fnaf 4 protagonist during the survival segments. my reasoning?
the crying child is scared of the animatronics, but at the same time, he loves them, the only one he truly seems to fear, is fredbear. he has plushies of every one except spring bonnie, suggesting he does like them, and his fredbear plush keeps him company (i like to think the fredbears speech is him hallucinating and trying to make himself feel better). Why would he have nightmares of all of them if fredbear is really the only one he's clearly scared of?
Michael is clearly aware of the nightmare animatronics, due to him mentioning and even showing an image of nightmare fredbear via the survival logbook (believed to be owned by michael, which would make sense if he's the nightguard for pretty much every location), and nightmare fredbears jump scare seems to tie into the fact michael saw his brother get crushed by the springlock system (and was utterly shocked and terrified as a result)
the crying child couldnt know they were in a hospital, due to a coma induced by the destruction of their frontal lobe, the child also wouldnt be able to hear their own heart rate monitor (night 5, childs death). Michael however, most certainly visited his younger brother constantly, and we know this because he tells his brother that he's sorry, just as the monitor flat lines. which suggests michael has seen the hospital room, and the pills and IV bag are handled by other people for the child to keep them alive.
so, the way i see it, michael is the player during the survival nights, while crying child is the player during the events leading up to his death (im not sure if its been 100% absolutely confirmed, but im a firm believer that the fredbear incident is 1987's bite, during the summer, as mentioned during fnaf 2's calls, the 1983 thing never made sense to me since the only legitimate proof is the establishment date of fredbears, which just means thats when the company was founded. feel free to prove me wrong, but i find it difficult to believe, i also believe the crying child is golden freddy, seeing as fnaf 3 tries to give the kid the birthday he deserves, which was torn from him, and the mask in fnaf 3 is a lighter shade of freddy's mask, suggesting it may be gold in color)

While listening to Baby's dialogues, i also noticed that there is a pattern, kinda.
She doesn't understand what went wrong, then she tries to guilt trip us, saying that they need it, she get's angry and starts demanding it later in the night. At 4 am she uses emotional or psychological manipulation and that would be Elizabeth's voice, she tries to convince us that it's Elizabeth while it's not her. Yes, Elizabeth is controlling Baby, but it isn't Elizabeth anymore, it's CIrcus Baby. And this makes it kinda sad ngl.

I fully agree with all your points; Sister Location is my fav tbh. That's mostly because of how different all the nights are, how disturbing the story is and maybe because Ennard has become my favourite FNaF character by now. That might be because he's still kind of mysterious since we don'treally know how or why he came to be; afaik that's not established in any game. Fun fact: my 2nd fave is Ballora which might support that haha. It's just such a cool game imo
On a different note: in my opinion, one of the most underrated characters is Old Man Consequences. Idk what you think abt him but seeing how he's appeared in multiple games (mainly FNAF World and UCN) and we still don't really know who he is, makes him really interesting

They arent doing it out of malice, they are just doing it out of desperation, especially (like he said in the video) when baby starts using her old voice (Elizabeth) to try to convince Michael to let them in. This is likely their only chance to leave the torture and hurt of the facility, and it kinda makes me sad that I see people say that these animatronics/kids are evil, when in reality, they all just want peace, to be free from the torture of the facility (btw I know I just went on a rant about a fnaf game, and I know that they are just fictional characters)

I love it how he talked about the secret ending but didn't even acknowledge what happens after if you win. It's not a cannon ending as stated by Scott Cawthon before leaving the franchise but was included in the game reguardless. Mike is back at home watching his vaimpire soap operas with his exotic butters on top of the tv and eating a bucket of popcorn covered in said butter very messily after the complete physical and emotional distress he was in from the end of the night while trying to finally relax as much as possible after being faced with not only the reminder of his mistake killing Evan (Crying Child) but also the death of his sister and his failure to truly set her free from their father's actions. Even after all of this however, the player's attention is almost immediately drawn away from the T.V. and a robotic audio plays of something being dragged on the ground. You look around the room unable to move mike as a player and after the audio plays for the third time you see a white mask and a decrepit humanoid figure hobble slowly into your sight. After that stressful night, Ennard still finds you and kills you and all you are able to do as a player is eat popcorn as you await mike to be dragged back to SL and scooped (even though this isn't shown). All your efforts were in vain.

Also, for the Bossfight itself, I do believe Ennard is the most well made Boss character in the franchise. There's Springtrap, Nightmare Fredbear with Nightmare, and then Ennard. Ennard is the only one of the group who truly feels like a boss in a way that doesn't feel hollow. Springtrap is a good boss but is in a game many hate and only gets to you through inconvenience or incompetence, the primary being unhealthily common. The Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare Bossfight is terrifying but is mostly a FNAF2 esque panick tactics situation. But, Ennard? Ennard feels like he's clever, and truly a force to fear. The desperation over the night as you said makes you feel isolated and pressure builds, and it genuinely feels tense until the very very end of it, win or lose. Then, it follows you home, and you realize just how tenacious, desperate, and craven it truly is.
