My favorite is Mangle because according to the lore, Mangle was a broken foxy animatronic, but instead of throwing it out, the restaurant kept it and hastily repurposed it as Mangle. I always found that really funny because it implies that the restaurant is so low budget and/or irresponsible that they’d rather let kids play with broken machinery rather than fix or replace it.
Edit: I just started looking at the replies to this after two months and oh my god, I did not expect this much arguing. It appears the Mangle fandom is not as harmonious as I thought.

Well they did fix Mangle multiple times, but the kids would always break her even worse than the last time. To the point that the workers refused to fix her again, and then they simply messed with the design so she would be a relatively safe pull apart attraction

Personally, I find withered chica from FNAF 2 is such an underrated character design. When you see her on the cameras, it’s just so eerie and creepy. The way her eyes just continuously stare, popping out of their sockets is so unnerving. The scarecrow sort of stance with her arms partially ripped off is such a unique pose, unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. And her jaw is just, *uehchgh.*

I actually find I really like Glamrock Chica - I know she's probably the most mindless out of all of them - but I noticed in the opening cutscene when Freddy is glitching out that Chica is the first to notice something is wrong. She actually comes close to Freddy to check on him when he falls after his malfunction. In my mind I imagine she's so mindless because she was the one that needed the most... Tampering with in order to become aggressive?

Another thing about Springtrap in fnaf 3 is the color pallet. I see a lot of people complain about fnaf 3 green/yellow color pallet but it helps springtrap immensely. I agree with you. Fnaf 3 is my favorite Fnaf game because it actually feels unnerving. All the other Fnaf games don't feel particularly unnerving, but Fnaf 3 does give me one thing that I love. It tells a story. I have always loved seeing old buildings or machines because if there is one thing you know about them, it's that they once had life. Those buildings were full of people, and those machines once moved. Fnaf 3 gives me that story. The idea of Fazbear's Fright being the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria after 30 years of decay is amazing. The building is empty and worn out, but yet you know that the building was once full of children and adults. Those same lifeless machines that have wires hanging out of them were once singing to a crowd of children on a nicely lit stage. That's what I like about Five Nights at Freddy's 3.

One of the main reasons Roxy stood out the most to me besides the “attracted to toxic women” and “I can fix her” mentalities was that she was the only one that had a fleshed out personality. Plus, Security Breach finally but briefly gave us an instance of the animatronics interacting with one another. Her telling Freddy to get out of her room gives off annoyed older sibling vibes and I’m all for it since it in a way it solidifies how they see each other as friends/family. The Ruin DLC adds even more to her character, which I wouldn’t be surprised if you said she was your favorite in that game too, then again the mimic isn’t a bad option either.

Ruin makes Roxy go from good to great. We get to see her real personality, a cool older sister type that's comforting and encouraging. Someone a little kid can look up to and idolize.

He is constantly taunting you and mocking you on your chances of survival and he somewhat tries to sound comforting by calling you birthday boy which shows that he isn't the one to be dealing with. FNaF1: Foxy, due to how different his mechanics and look is compared to the other characters.
FNaF2: Withered Chica was pretty terrifying in this game, being forced in one pose with that giant gaping jaw with the very small pupils is just unsettling.
FNaF3: Springtrap, cause I mean. Come on.
FNaF4: Nightmare Freddy has always fascinated me, having multiple nightmare plushies connected to him, making him seem like a deadly virus, and him being the only character that's in your room from start to finish.
SL: Funtime Freddy just had this unhinged personality that as soon as I heard it, it made me fall in love with the character. The fact that he has a hand puppet as emotional support also just cracks me up.
FFPS: Scrap Baby was always a standout, the fact she was rejected and came back with older parts from her previous body shows her desperation. And I mean, come on, that claw hand is really cool!
HW: Dreadbear just is the perfect way to give Nightmare Freddy a Halloween skin, since he was one of the two characters to not have a Halloween DLC skin. Yes, Grimm Foxy exists, but Nightmare Mangle came first.
SB: While I may get some flack for this, I really LOVE how Monty was executed in this game. Just the mystery of Glamrock Bonnie going missing, but if you demolish chica first in the og version, monty was one of the most terrifying enemies due to the fact you cannot stop him. And that feeling of finally going through that CRAPPY Mazersize segment and destroying him was incredibly satisfying. Plus it was never entirely clear if he could still move, so when DanTDM found Monty destroyed in the arcade, he freaked the hell out of him! Honestly one of my favorites!

I personally believe that he only shows up on the seventh night since the seventh night is the crying child’s nightmare while in a coma, and that his jumpscare is the way that it is since that was the last thing that the crying child saw. And the fact that the jumpscare audio is a slowed ambulance really adds to it for me. Charlie Emily is one of my favorite human characters and the fact that she possessed the puppet who tried to save her is the coolest element. She helped each of the children to inhabit the animatronics, and similar to what you mentioned with Springtrap/William Afton, a lot of the foundation of this game wouldn't exist without her.

My favorite of each game, and a brief little talk as to why:
Fnaf 1: Golden Freddy. I love the mystery this character created. We knew NOTHING at first and still his nature remains largely an enigma. The fact he's an uninhabited suit makes him very unique and- yeah, Fnaf 1 definitely had my favorite look for him. He fits within the established design conventions while still looking ghostly, spectral, above the others in some way
Fnaf 2: The Puppet. I love the air of importance this character has, her universal presence in most of the minigames, the post night cutscenes, and in gameplay. The idea of the one in control literally being a puppet is an irony I enjoy as well
Fnaf 3: Springtrap, it's obviously Springtrap, probably my favorite character in the series. I still remember initially realizing "wait...are those human guts?" when playing the game, and the shock of realizing this was William the whole time added another layer of horror to him
Plus I got one of the rare screens at one point. Nightmares ensued. Speaking of nightmares
Fnaf 4: Nightmarrione. CRIMINALLY underrated character similar to Nightmare, in my opinion. Such a, frankly, horrifying design while avoiding the issue of seeming too "tryhard" people have with the other nightmares. Those tentacle limbs are freaky when they're still, but in motion in Help Wanted...SCREW that, dear god
Sister Location: Ennard. I fully agree with you about Ennard, for all of the same reasons really, so I won't go too far into it. His design is a bit gross, and I've seen people take issue with that, but I think that's the point. This writhing mass of wires with a vaguely human face SHOULD be one of the most unsettling things in the series
Pizza Sim: Scrap Baby. I love that Baby actually gets to be a threat to us now, and a major one at that. Separating her from Ennard was an interesting idea, and we get a terrifying and cool design out of it. The rollerskates and the claw arm are favorite aspects of mine
Help Wanted: Glitchtrap, has to be. This is a character who's design and story role are both unlike anything we've ever seen before. He's a return to the simpler designs of Fnaf 1 that I think is great to see, while also being VERY standout. Not my favorite Springtrap look, but definitely the most...unnerving
Security Breach: Monty. I'm gonna be honest, the main reason for this one is how strong I feel the design is. I think he is the most believably scary of the 4 Glamrocks (which granted isn't saying much), and the lore of him dismantling Bonnie entirely unprompted reinforces that, and is also just interesting

    • @screamingopossum7809
      @screamingopossum7809 Před 2 lety +10

      1) I can get behind that. At the time he was just an easter egg and we didn't know much about him. That fact that Ultimate Custom Night gave us more insight to Golden Freddy and what he is is cool revelation.
      2) Agreed. Her importance to the overall story hinges on the fact she was the first victim. The entire series started with her.
      3) I remember the fans speculating around Springtraps design and going "IS THAT A SKULL?!!" and then the realization that there is a person inside of Springtrap. Then during the minigames when we realize it was Purple Guy (at the time we didn't have a name) and the fans went wild.
      4) I never ran into Nightmarrione and never saw any lets players run into it either, probably because it was only for the Halloween edition. I didn't even know it was a FNAF 4 character until recently.
SL: My favorite is Baby due to her significance both as being the first voiced animatronic and her being one of the first animatronics to NOT be a villain. I DO understand why people like Ennard so much though.
HW: I feel like he's the defacto. He's really the only animatronic that has any significance because the game is meant to be a coverup for the events of the past few games. However still continuing the story by making Glitchtrap, telling us "the events of the series DID happen. Afton still exists, and he's still has malevolent as ever. This company is just trying to cover it all up".
SB: It's very hard for me to get a favorite character, as I feel the Glamrocks are some of the weakest in the series. They hold absolutely no lore relevance, they weren't made for a specific purpose they just are, they're not possessed by anyone and if Afton is possessing them it's VERY hard to tell, they just exist to be bad guys with Glamrock Freddy being an enigma. Vanny at least as a reason for existing, it's similar to Saw.

    • @screamingopossum7809
      @screamingopossum7809 Před 2 lety

@@yallrfatuglyandunattractive It's mainly due to the fact there are so little animatronics in the game that there should be a reason for them.
The toys are there with their facial recognition to call the police if Afton comes and one of them are responsible for the bite of 87 (probably Mangled). They have a reason to be there.
Shadows are Easter Eggs and Shadow Bonnie isn't even it's real name.
Phantoms are there more for mechanics purposes because without them the games already easy enough.
The Rockstars I can get behind but reminder, it's a Pizza Tycoon game with the set goal of luring the animatronics that scare you during the night. You're building a Freddy Fazbear Pizza Place, so it makes sense to have the "up to date" versions of the Freddy Gang. You start off buying knock off animatronics to get the money to buy them, hence the mediocre melody.
Security Breach is none of that. The Pizza Complex is an official Freddy Fazbear Pizza place. So outside of being the reason Glamrock Bonnie was scrapped, Monty is just THERE and Foxy isn't mentioned anywhere.
With there being 6 animatronics in the game (4 Glamrocks, The Blob, and Burntrap, not including the security robots and endos and Vanny is just a Furry), 7 if you count DJ Music Man (which I'm not arguing his role as a character outside of the game, 8 if you count Sun/Moondrop that effectively do nothing, there should be a reason for why those characters were made/added in that isn't for the lols, especially for a FNAF game. FNAF has always had reasons for certain characters especially when the cast is limited.
Roxy and Monty are there just to add new characters to the lineup to be antagonists. If we saw them progressively being possessed by Afton with purple light, smoke, ANYTHING I wouldn't be saying this. But they're just there to be annoying. Replacing any of the Glamrocks excluding Freddy would serve the same purpose.
Also the glitching around Vanny still doesn't have an in game reasoning. In a first person game, when were seeing out of Gregory's eyes, his vision goes funky whenever Vanny is there. That's never been addressed in the game.

Probably late to the party, but I'll list mine up to SL:
FNAF 1: Foxy. It always struck me how separate he was from the others. The others got to be on stage while he's left in Pirate's Cove. It kinda gave an air of mystery to him in a weird way.
FNAF 2: Mangle. It always interested me just how broken Mangle is to the point it made Foxy from FNAF 1 seem brand new. Again Mangle is kept separate sort of like Foxy was in FNAF 1, away from the rest of the main toy animatronics, providing that same air of mystery Foxy provides coupled with Mangle's own interesting background.
FNAF 3: I don't think many people won't say Springtrap, and I'm not among that minority that would nominate someone other than Springtrap. He's the hallmark and main attraction of this game, and his design here is arguably the best in the whole franchise, anatomical inaccuracies aside.
FNAF 4: Nightmarionne. A lot of the nightmare animatronics feel armed to the teeth in an almost cheesy way. Nightmarionne is different. Don't get me wrong, Nightmarionne still shares some of these traits, but they're more toned down in this model. Where the other nightmares seem to go "rawr, I'm scary!", Nightmarionne seems to go more like, "I'm here. I'm coming for you. Be ready." Point is, Nightmarionne feels more sinister; clearly a threat, but one that doesn't feel like they're trying too hard.
Sister Location: Baby. Although Ennard's design is amazing, Baby's character is pretty well developed throughout the majority of SL, and this makes me see her as more interesting overall. With all due respect, Ennard only really is present in the last part, which isn't really a whole lot of time to explore Ennard as a new entity compared to Baby's time in the spotlight during the majority of the game. Although I do feel they did do some effort later on to flesh out Ennard a bit more, I am judging favourites based purely off of their appearance in the game listed, and thus Baby beats out Ennard for me.
Thanks for reading, and have a great day!

Personally I'm quite a big fan of the nightmares. Something about how they abstractify the original designs and make you wonder if these were older, lost versions of those characters, or even lost completely different characters like in the case of nightmare. They tattered fabric look, the lighting, the bowtie style, and the wires just do it for me.

For me, the best character is Toy Chica. She just scares me, the usual friendly and alluring look is broken once you see her scaring form, the beady white eyes and the lack of a beak really surprised me when I first saw the character, Scott knows what he was doing when he created her model. The voicelines in UCN also adds to the creepiness. Other than those reasons, there is no other particular reason I like this attractive anthropomorphic chicken, yes, no particular reason at all

Springtrap is ultimately my favorite overall, even if I think he could be greatly improved. Honestly I always loved his jumpscare, even though many dislike it.
It makes sense. A child is the type to jump and yell to scare someone, hence why 99% of all the animatronics do just that. They're children.
But Afton isn't there for a cheap scare and some revenge. He's there to tear you apart for no other reason than entertainment. Hell it isn't even a scream he emits, it's more akin to a sigh of satisfaction that he finally wormed his way to you instead.
Not to mention the fact that he *knows* who you, the player, are in the story. Yet he rips you up anyways. His own son. For no rhyme or reason, for no purpose only than his own pleasure.

Mangle is definitely my favorite design out of all. Their design used to confuse me a lot as a kid, and I assumed they were just a pile of wire spaghetti. I'm older now and I realize how ingenious the design actually is. The way their 'head' is actually on their arm and that they have 3 feet and can collapse and reform themselves however they want due to their jumbled form is so interesting to me. It's all so messy and yet so coherent at the same time. The sound of their radio is also one of the most disturbing and ear-gratingly annoying sounds ever to be heard.
Also, in defense of the Nightmares, as a kid they used to TERRIFY me and I think that's the point. They aren't supposed to be scary for adults, they're supposed to be scary for CHILDREN. The player character of FNAF 4 is a child and the Nightmares are their interpretations of the terrifying animatronics that scared them, pulled from the deepest recesses of their subconscious. I think the Nightmares are pretty genius design by this explanation alone, and makes them one of my favorite animatronic designs actually

FNAF 1 - Freddy Fazbear the great, love the music box stuff when the power goes out, awesome suspense
FNAF 2 - Puppet was a nice change up from the bulkier animatronics, design was on point and story was intriguing
FNAF 3 - Springtrap for lack of other characters, but Springtrap can still be super creepy. Best parts are them trudging slowly across the window or staring at you through the door, knowing you’re cornered
FNAF 4 - The little pixelized Fredbear doll the crying child has. I like the nightmares alright, but they blend together. I like the weird psychic doll, the question of whether it’s actually alive or just an imaginary friend.
Sister Location - Freddy and that stupid little Bonnie hand puppet crack me up
Pizza Sim - I’m least familiar with this one, so not sure. Lefty has a fun design. I also like Candy Cadet.
Help Wanted - Glitchtrap, maybe the most upsetting character in the whole series for me
The Best One - Glamrock Freddy, the bestest friend a superstar could ask for

This video honestly makes me want to go into my own personal favorite characters from each game myself, so here goes.
    FNAF 1:
Foxy was the character I got the most attached to of the main roster. There's such an air of mystery around him -- how run-down he is, how he only moves when he's not being looked at, the "OUT OF ORDER" sign in front of Pirate's Cove. The shot of him right as he's about to run from Pirate's Cove where he's crooked in such an unnatural way is incredibly eerie. He comes off as the most unstable of the animatronics and even though he's a pretty simple threat to deal with, that feeling of pure unadulterated terror when you see that he's *not there* leaves an impact none of the other FNAF games quite replicate.
    FNAF 2:
Yeah my favorite is also Withered Bonnie. His design is the one that's easily the scariest to me for all the reasons you explained -- his lack of face, how he leans to one side, and just how fucking massive he is. Even minor things like the loose wires hanging from his missing arm freaks me out. I wish he was a little more unique as well, but his design in general is probably my favorite in the whole series.
    FNAF 3:
Springtrap is the only valid answer here, but I do genuinely love the character for, again, most of the same reasons you've stated both here and in other videos. The twist where it's revealed that Springtrap is William Afton is an utterly series-defining moment that acts as both a shocking twist, and a straight shot of catharsis at seeing this piece of shit murderer in agony. That said, I actually disagree with your take on how he's handled in Pizzeria Sim. I do not like his PIzzeria Sim design at all mind you, but Afton's reason for killing the children was to discover how to achieve immortality. In a way, by becoming Springtrap, Afton won, even though he lives in constant agony. That makes the ending of Pizzeria Sim even more cathartic to me, seeing him burn and his soul finally be sent to hell for him to be tortured for eternity. It's a very fitting end for the character and it makes me disappointed that Security Breach ended up retconning that.
    FNAF 4:
Design-wise, Nightmare Foxy is my favorite. Even though he doesn't have much going on as an actual character, Nightmare Foxy is, in my opinion, the best designed of the Nightmares. The lack of faux fur on his snout exposing his teeth and mouth structure, his serpentine-like tongue, and how he mirrors FNAF 1 Foxy in gameplay and instability makes him fairly interesting to me.
    Sister Location:
...yeah I like Funtime Foxy. All of the SL animatronics are amazing, but Funtime Foxy just stuck with me. The way he stares at the cameras in the Custom Night mode, his demeanor and personality in UCN that's pretty much a more hyped-up and charismatic version of Foxy with a game show host vibe makes me really adore him. He's like if Mettaton was a horror game character and I live for that. Even though characters like Circus Baby and Ennard are more important to the overall lore, I just love Funtime Foxy way too much to not want to talk about him.
    Pizzeria Simulator:
I honestly don't have many strong opinions on the Pizzeria Sim characters, but Molten Freddy is easily the scariest to me. Something about loose wires freaks me the fuck out, and Molten Freddy perfectly achieves that being the tangled mess that he is. His unhinged jaw, razor sharp teeth, and single red eye, on top of hearing his distant laughter as he crawls through the vents, makes him the most viscerally terrifying PS character to me.
[I don't really like any of the Help Wanted animatronics lmao]
    Security Breach:
Monty. It's Monty. I fucking love Monty. Even though he's similar to Roxanne in a lot of ways, for me personally, Roxy was always bogged down by her angst factor. She doesn't really feel scary to me (prior to her being decommissioned), more just pathetic. But Monty fixes all of that. He's raw power, he KNOWS he's raw power, and nothing can stop him once his sights are set on you. You can't stun him, you can only run and hide and HOPE he goes away. The way he speaks to Gregory knowing full well how much more powerful he is just left an impact on me. He also has the best voice lines, jumpscare, animations... even though he's basically a joke once he gets decommissioned, that doesn't make me love him any less. It's simultaneously cathartic and horrifying how he screams in pain when you hit him with the Fazer Blaster, and I absolutely ADORE the little touch with him death rolling you in that state. Monty just hits all the right marks for me -- being an intimidating threat while simultaneously having a ton of personality and charm to him. Even if he's not as scary as Decommissioned Roxanne, I just adore him as a character too much to not gush about him. He's very, very well-designed.

    My personal favorites...
FNAF 1: Endo-01: Cute and harmless. They had a secret cam of his own where they look at you from their favorite table. In AR they initially attack you, but when successfully defeated they will serve as your custom animatronic servant.
FNAF 2: Endo-02: A bit more robust but still cute, and even helpful to the player. They have secret cams. One of them is standing by the music box (Fun fact: when the puppet is released, Endo-02 has a higher chance of appearing), the other is more interesting though as it shows Endo-02 in your vent. They aren't there to kill you, but the be a helping hand as they block other animatronics from entering, this friendly nature is reinforced in the Help Wanted Fnaf 2 gamemode where they can ocassionally appear in your office and just harmlessly stand by you.
FNAF 3: I would say springlock animatronic endo but the only visible one is mostly covered in Afton
FNAF 4: I would say Nightmare Endo but they are obscured by suits
FNAF WORLD: Endo plush is my personal favorite as it's the only unique one in this game.
FNAF SL: Yenndo is a nice fellow who occasionally appears in Funtime Auditorium's room and only stands there harmlessly before disappearing. However the non-canon in custom night they're aggressive to the player but thankfully isn't canon as mentioned previously.
Pizzeria Sim: While there are obviously unique endos for the Mediocre melodies, they are unfortunately obscured by suits. For all the others, I can't even tell what kind of endos they have. So as of right now the Mediocre Melodies endo is my favorite character as it's the most visible and clear. (The puppet doesn't count as an endo for lefty)
HW: Just reuses endos from previous games so just look at the previous games for my opinions.
SB: Glamrock Endos are big and buff, they're kind of cute, but actually want to kill you and act all creepy. The clipart of the Glamrock Endos on the button doors are cute too.

The Puppet is definitely my favorite overall, especially after discovering the lore behind its character, but Ballora tends to come in as a close second. Learning about Charlotte thanks to the books and several parts of PizzaSim adds a lot of depth to the Puppet and even Lefty by-proxy.
For how young she must've been, PizzaSim's true ending says a lot about Charlotte's nature as a protective mom-friend, who was tragically murdered by a family friend and might've been the only one who could recognize our protagonist. And despite said protagonist Michael being the oldest son of her killer, he might've actually been someone she considered a friend, but every victim of William Afton only sees Michael as William himself, even after William dies and is left sealed in that saferoom. Makes you think how differently things would pan out if Charlotte actually *was* able to recognize Michael for who he is.

For me in FNAF1 it was always Freddy. The 'handprint' photos, his bright and happy appearance in promotional material vs his sinister and stalker-hunter-ish appearance in the game... it was such a shocking contrast. I remember on my very first playthrough, Freddy only moved right at the end of Night 3 and never reached the Office: I didn't see him in the cameras, though, and didn't know what to look for. That icy chill of fear, of knowing the previously idle threat of Freddy has suddenly become very malevolent and very real, scared the crap out of me. His eyeless face and demonic laughter evoke the feeling of something deeply wrong: unlike the other animatronics, Freddy never keeps up the veneer of a child-friendly appearance. The spirit within him knows where you are, it knows exactly how to find you, and it drops all pretense. FNAF1 Freddy is still my favourite animatronic of the entire series; that uncanny valley creepiness and eyeless horror has always stuck with me.
FNAF2 was closer, and while the fear of Withered Freddy and his vacant, zombie-like stare was potent, I have to go for the Puppet. We are told almost NOTHING about it or why it exists: just a vague warning to keep the box wound up. The Puppet is therefore the greatest priority, the 'overriding threat' to which all the nights are based around. That fear of the box running out is so paramount that I still flinch upon hearing 'Pop Goes The Weasel' in any context. Plus, the design of the Puppet as an 'empty' marionette that practically levitates and is the most sentient and intelligent threat in the game made its design profoundly creepy to me.
FNAF3, I agree that it has to be Springtrap. I've mentioned this in other comment sections on your videos, but the sheer terror of being 'alone with the Psycho' gives Springtrap and FNAF3 this very isolated and dark tone. Springtrap is ACTIVELY hunting you. This isn't a misguided spirit or a hacked computer chip: this is a very much alive, tortured entity who wants nothing more than to kill you and resume his reign ofterror. His design is easily my favourite: the shredded felt-like exterior has yellowed with age and feels rotten to the eyes. His gory flesh and forever-preserved scream under the mask leave nothing but torture, fear and a deep sense of wrongness. Worst of all, though, are his eyes. They seem bloodshot, and glow with an ethereal inner light like an intent stare. Springtrap's permanent slasher smile and glowing glare of doom from the depths of the ventilation shafts is one of the scariest screens from the FNAF franchise, imo. (Kinda biased by my phobia of vent shafts, but still)
FNAF4 I didn't really enjoy, so I don't think it's fair for me to give an opinion.
FNAF:SL was another tough one. Funtime Freddy was my first thought. His unhinged voicelines, towering stature and terrifying jumpscare made him very memorable to me. Ballora's whispery voice, music box attack and TEETH (brr, those teeth) made her a strong contender too. But, ultimately, I have to agree with you on Ennard. Their totally unexpected yet foreshadowed appearance stunned so many of us - including me - back in the day. Their effect on the story, wearing Michael like a skinsuit and being smart enough to actually escape? Horrifying. But his gradual infiliration in the Private Room Ending was the worst. Here was a huge mechanical abomination using a little girl's voice, worming it's way into your psyche and manipulating you. Ennard is probably the most psychologically horrific antagonist in the entire franchise, and that makes him easily my favorite SL character.
Again, thank you for an excellent video Pastra and I look forward to the next!

    Personally...
FNaF: Golden Freddy. Super mysterious and iconic. Seeing players' reactions to them was always fun and seeing how they impacted the lore and franchise was super interesting.
FNaF 2: The Puppet. She's super unique with his creepy song and horrific design. I'd change my answer to Mangle though depending on what I feel like.
FNaF 3: Springtrap. Duh. If you don't count him then Phantom Freddy. The way he walks across the window is super creepy and it's interesting to see how huge and bulky he is compared to Micheal.
FNaF 4: Nightmare Fredbear. I love his UCN voice, I love seeing players' reactions to him, and he is super interesting in the story both as an animatronic and as a plush.
FNAF SL: Funtime Freddy. I love his voice so much, his jumpscare and fake jumpscare are actually creepy, and I love his whole bonbon ordeal. Honorable mention to literally everyone else. They're all amazing in their own way.
FF PS: Afton. Fight me. His smexy voice is smexy. He is such a smart way to evolve Springtrap in my opinion, and his chemistry with Henry and Michael is so damn compelling. If it wasn't for his design, he'd be my favorite character in the series. (RIght now it's the puppet)
FNaF HW+CoD: Glitchtrap. I don't really have much of a choice.
FNaF SB: Monty or Sun. I can't choose who I like more. The mystery of what Monty did to Bonnie is both funny and creepy. His voice lines are super silly, and his booss fight as actually pretty cool. Sun has a cool voice, creative mystery of who he is, and the way he changes into Moon is both extremely goofy but also nerve-wracking.

He, despite his weakness of no AI or not being possessed (as far as we know) makes an impression on everyone and, with his charming demeanour and constant kindness stands out from the rest of trash and the gang, nay, even shines bright when buried under the mediocre melodies and the rockstars. Bonnie and Springtrap are my favorites for the same reasons. Bonnie has the most unnerving appearance, and I think most people can agree on that, especially since Scott has nightmares about him. The images where he stares at you, whether it was from him being in the Parts and Services room or the rare screen where it's just his head with hollow black eyes, still send chills down my spine. It's also why a part of me doesn't like it when people give him eyebrows. Sounds silly, but it really does feel like it takes away what makes him scary.
When Springtrap made his debut, I knew immediately I was gonna like him, and I still do. He's incredibly unique. He's literally a walking tomb, taking the whole mummy thing to a whole new level. Not only that, even in death, William's need to hunt is still strong as ever. Nothing's gonna stop him. I also agree that he did better when he was a lot more subtle. I don't mind a crazy villain who comes back at every chance he gets, but I definitely prefer a mysterious, almost mute mummy whose true intentions you'll never know about.

I find Fnaf 1 bonnie to be scarier than any others in any of the other games. it's so unnerving looking. I did not find Springtrap scary when playing. But out of them all, at night, it was the one I thought would pop up the most in bed as a kid, and I think that's because of the games focus on it, as well as it's freaky design and jump scare that was far slower than the others beforehand.

My biggest complain with him is the lack of color, but not the lack of soul. Nightmare Fredbear has the colors, and in my head, this is translated into something alive, i mean, look at him, he has bright colours, like how it is intended to be. Nightmare is really cool when you see him in-game, but we are being told nothing about him, unlike Fredbear, for which we have some clues about his backstory. Nightmare is really dark but not that unique, in my opinion.

Well if you want a lore aspect of Nightmare,if you brighten the image of Nightmare, there is a human brain inside which not only plays into FNAF 4’s crying child getting bitten and the lobe is in there but it later plays on the idea of children being trapped into the Funtime Animatronics as well a callback to the children being stuffed in the suits. You could also argue that Nightmare is Death in a physical form whether you believe you are playing as the crying child, the spirit being haunted or the older brother being hunted down as the guilt goes after him. There are many different interpretations. Also if you are caught by Nightmare, you hear a strange noise, it is actually the sound of an ambulance slowed down.

It's simple, and yet so pretty on stage, yet it transforms into somewhat of a flickering ghost in the dark. She has such a glowing charisma about him I'm not entirely sure of, and his color scheme is just so oddly pleasant. She's not that scary though, which loses him some points, ngl.

VR tried too hard with Malhare, made him move so weirdly and then the name "Malhare" got drowned out in the community by that stupid generic name and he lost even more respect. But in terms of the "molest vs kill" thing you said, well he's basically a physical (or rather digital, I guess) manifestation of William Afton's desire to murder innocent children so it really can't be any other way I suppose. I'd have to give my favorite animatronic spot to Nightmarionne, the design is amazing, taking the innocent look of the puppet from FNaF 2 and making it into this huge scrawny monster. I feel like the nightmares went a bit too hard with a "big and bulky" design, and Nightmarionne is a fantastic opposite side of the coin for the idea of making a giant scary monster. On top of that I adore the voice lines it got in UCN and HW, most notably "I am a fearful reflection of what you have created" is particularly haunting. Hearing that line spoken by something with such a booming voice while having that voice glitch and loop on itself is very intimidating. It's not lore heavy like the original Nightmare, but I'd like to think it's a fantastic substitute for the sake of the Halloween update.

    Alright, here are my opinions.
FNaF 1: Foxy. I think his mechanic really adds something to the game, and I like his design for being themed, as well as being so creepy in a realistic way. If the pizzeria was real and I went there as a kid, I would absolutely be scared by him.
FNaF 2: I am obsessed with Toy Bonnie’s design. It blends creepy and cute in a way no other character in the franchise does, and is my personal favorite in general, and that’s saying a lot. Of course, his mechanic is the most basic out of anyone, but the way he just stares at you with his forced smile and giant eyes while moving to the left when you wear the mask really makes this character complete. It’s telling how he’s the only toy animatronic which doesn’t change appearance after leaving the stage.
FNaF 4: Nightmare Fredbear is emblematic of why I like FNaF 4 so much. I love how he ties in with the story mini games and the bite of 83 and such. His design is also pretty good, I really like his “stomach mouth” thing. His game mechanic really prevents him from being anything I think about often, though.
FNaF sister location: I like Ennard as much as the next guy, but Ballora is so amazing. I love how she never opens her eyes until she jumpscares you and how she’s trapped in the same pose constantly. And of course her song adds a layer of creepiness, while making you wonder about her significance. By far the most underrated animatronic in the franchise.
FFPS: going back to balancing cuteness and creepiness, Music man is my favorite pizzeria simulator animatronic. His black soulless eyes, his stretch out mouth that only vaguely resembles a smile, his spider-like legs, and his arms which are only used for cymbals really makes him a stand-out character. I especially like his role in UCN, where he has an entirely unique gauge and a unique personality like most of the FFPS animatronics in the game. I can see why he was brought back twice in security breach.
FNaF security breach: Sundrop/Moondrop is my personal favorite part in all of the game. To pick one, I’d say Sun is my favorite. The best parts about him are the unique clownish way he moves and his overly kiddy design which retroactively makes him terrifying. The artwork seen on the walls contrasted with his appearance really adds something that I wish was a bigger part of the game. His voice is great and fits his character, Kellen Goff did an amazing job. If and when a new FNaF game is made, I’d like to see them both return, the idea of two animatronics being one is a novel concept I’d like to see expanded upon.
Other than that, I agree with your opinions on Springtrap and Giltchtrap, I guess since there wasn’t much competition.

Funfact, Glitchtrap isn’t a springlock suit. You can see the fur stitching on his legs and arms and also the fact that he moves really freely like a person in a normal fursuit. Though I don’t know how a serial killer in a fursuit is normal. If you compare him to springtrap, Glitchtrap doesn’t have a moveable jaw and his eyes never blink or move really. Bonnie as a whole is so interesting and fun because out of every animatronic, Bonnie is somehow the most aggressive, relentless one there is. His appearance, his constant harassment of your personal space, the very physical nature of his jumpscares whith him right up in your face, its all just so angry and vengeful and I love it.

FNAF 1: Chica. I've gotten desensitized to a lot of the characters over time, but no matter how many times I see Chica she's still terrifying. The "Let's Eat!!!" bib feels especially menacing.
FNAF 2: Agree, it's Withered Bonnie. I love the way his lower teeth frame the void where his head should be.
FNAF 4: Nightmare. In a cast of characters that does honestly feel a bit overdesigned, I love how much of him *doesn't* stand out. You shine your light and there's just a set of teeth and eyes. He's basically the main character's fear distilled to its purest form.
Sister Location: This one has to go to Circus Baby herself, because her identity is one of the few mysteries we have left and it's a juicy one. The game clearly wants us to think that she's Elizabeth Afton, but there are several clues that suggest this isn't the case, and I'm super intrigued by that.
Pizzeria Simulator: Ignoring the animatronics who didn't see any real action until Custom Night, it has to be Scrap Baby. Her design hits a great balance of being decrepit and menacing.
Security Breach: Monty is my favorite animatronic, being extremely radical, but my favorite overall character is Vanny. I love the mystery they built with her character, and I'm deeply irritated at the choice to make the "true" ending one where you ignore her altogether in favor of William Afton Part 4, Yes We Know He Wasn't Anywhere Else In The Game, He's Still The Real Villain Because We Said So.
Custom Night: Revisiting a character who was introduced in Pizzeria Simulator, it's gotta be Happy Frog. I just think she's cute.
