Sometimes tinnitus is bad, and when you are in loud environment it gets worse. Lower the volume of everything , protect your ears and it will get better. I listened to music at max since the first Walkman . 40 years later ringing started. Now I do not reach 10% of the volume and it does not hurt. Patience is the key. This audio does well masking the ringing

I have had tinnitus for 25 years at least. The last 10 years it wasn´t a mayor problem, but during the last 3 months it got louder. I blame the stress. I tell everybody who could read this: 1. It won't kill you, 2.You are not alone 3.Maybe you won't shut it down, buy can put it on a side 4.Change your mind using mindfulness 5. You can´t avoid pain, but you can choose not to suffer

If you experience issues with your spine in the head-, neck- shoulder-areas and/or with the jaw (All maybe due to an accident in the past, or circumstances in the working environment), that could also be a cause for tinnitus. The more, if the tinnitus becomes dynamic in tone, volume, frequency when putting pressure on the muscles in this area. An experienced osteopath could maye help. It would be worth a try. Had mine for nearly 12 years on both ears, louder as comparing to the environment. The left side is nearly quiet, the other side... I am working on it.

Hello fellow tinnitus folks. I don't want to say sufferers as I'm not a defeatist and neither should you be. I've had tinnitus since I was a child. Both ears, all day long, 24/7. Whoosh. It started one day in the car when I was about 6 or 7 being driven home from my grandparents' house in London. My parents were arguing again and, whilst going round a roundabout this buzzing started in my ears. I remember it like it was yesterday. At first I thought it was aliens trying to talk to me, well, I was a child! I had no idea what was going on and why this noise had suddenly popped into my head. WTF!? Since that moment it has never gone away.
I have always loved music and over the years amassed a really large collection of firstly cds and now vinyl. I always thought it was solely because of my love of music that this collection formed. Nope. It was for the reason that silence is well, not silence! It suddenly dawned on me a few years back. Why sooo much music? Then I realised it drowns out the sound of the buzz. I've read up on tinnitus quite a lot and no, there is no cure, as of yet. Advice I've read: don't smoke, don't drink coffee, don't stress! Ok, almost like telling us not to live! I used to smoke, I still drink coffee and I sometimes stress. However, tinnitus does not take over my life, for the most part. As some have written here if you concentrate on it, it grows. It's really true. The buzz becomes a roar, hissing and trying to take over your conscious. Just ignore it and concentrate on what you're doing. Don't think about it. And chill. Relax. Don't get too wound up. Yes, it can drive you crazy sometimes, but just pull back and breathe. I still laugh at my alien friends in my head, and yes there are a few! Build yourselves a record collection. Invest time in searching out new bands, finding new genres and then sit and relax and listen. Or better still dance your arse off! And also be nice to your kids! Stress in a 6 year old leads to no good! Be well humans. Have fun. x

Thanks for the advice! Absolutely agree! I too believe it is caused by stress. It started with me two months ago. Made me nuts at first. But I decided hell no to this! After a visit to the Audiologist and the ENT both told me they could not help. I decided it was up to me. Music, keeping busy, and taking what I like to call a chill pill, was my answer. Don't allow this to take over your life. Be strong, pray, meditate, and be happy! God bless!

I bought a book on Amazon called Rewiring Tinnitus. In it he says they're close to a cure. 🙏🙏
He gives lots of good advice. Meditation is what he uses. It's to "habituate". We habituate naturally, that's why you guys are saying it goes away during the day sometimes. It doesn't go away, you're habituating to it with your activity's of the day. I started doing the meditation but haven't really stuck with it. The only times my tinnitus bothers me is first thing in the morning when it's quiet and a few times during the day if I think about it. Some of you may get great relief from the book. The author suffers from it terribly.
There's also resources like download meditation methods and websites for support from others.
Good luck everyone. Pray for those working on a cure. God Bless us all.

Ilove to see the people who actually carry some compassion with them even when anonymously on the internet. I’ve had tubitos for about 12 years. as a kid it wasn’t bad, but now in my late 20s it’s been constant. most of the time I can block it out but on the days that I have high stress or anxiety, it’s hard. Good truck is to always keep your mind busy and try to not focus on it. Blessings to everyone who carry this burden, and I hope God gives us the strength to stay strong and keep positive.

That it is !!! It's called FMRI or frequency matched residual inhibition. It reproduces in part a frequency on the same wavelength of your tinnitus and quiets down your tinnitus perception by introducing a man made sound over your natural sound, which your system interprets as non threatening. It can actually quiet your sounds right down to a whisper sometimes. Stay with it and look after yourself...

No buzzing in my ears when I play this! I was drawing when my music played from my laptop onto my Earphones, I went to turn it down but hot the up...and now my ears hurt and I hear voices differently...it's super scary...but this relaxed me. Bless you

Thank you. This helps. I’ve used it for two days - the buzzing is no longer at the front of my awareness but more in the distance and about half the volume. It also noticeably reduces anxiety level - clearly I was stressed and didn’t know it. Thank you so much ❤💖🙏💜💖

Im 33 and have been suffering from tinnitus for about 2 years in my left ear which has a perforated eardrum and the severity of my tinnitus is very bad, which sounds like someone turned on the water hose outside my bedroom, or like a water faucet for those who don't know the sound im referring to. Tinnitus ruined my life for the first year that I suffered from it, in which it would become so loud and unnerving that it would trigger anxiety/ panic attacks that would then start to feed on itself in a vicious circle daily. I couldn't work, sleep, or even have normal conversations with anyone. I tried to go to the doctor, but I am unable to pay for surgery, so i continue to suffer from it. I keep multiple fans on in my room and other noses like TV and radio just to drown it out.
It got to the point where I was just fed up with the constant noise and though it took a long time, I started to slowly learn to deal with it and move on with my life( which is still not financially stable). Slowly I started to have interest in things which helped to ignore it as best as I can, but still have attacks where it gets bad, especially if I wake up suddenly, or think about it to much to cause a panic attack.
I just want people to know that out is possible to live with it, but just takes time. I know it's not what you want to hear, but it does very slowly get more tolerable. I hope anyone who has tinnitus just sticks with it and it will become more manageable. I've accepted that I will most likely have it for the rest of my life and with that acknowledgment.... the process of living with tinnitus could begin for me.

Find a way to make friends with it. I have suffered with this for 10 years and there is no way to escape it. Early on I suffered occasional panic attacks because of this and only when I found a way to stop running from it and accept it was I able to rise above it and live with it.

I've had tinnitus since the beginning of the pandemic - it's been 1 year now. It improved a lot when I started doing physiotherapy (after going to 5 different doctors to identify the real cause) because I was working out a lot to occupy my time at home during this period. I also started to go for a walk and going to open places where there was a lot of nature around mainly to meditate. My main advice is trying to identify the cause to treat as effectively as possible as well as trying to sleep a lot if you can (I mean a lot). I have faith that it will go away one day and I pray every day to get out of this situation. For now I try to stay calm and think as positively as possible for this to end. Praying for y'all 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hi Gabriel, did you able to find out the cause of your tinnitus?

    • @manfra.3884
      @manfra.3884 Před 2 lety +3

@@Paul-my4hw Hi Tee. It was a combination of various things, but the mainly things were stress and excessive work out. In 2020 I was graduating from college and I was doing my thesis which I can't describe how stressful it was. Plus the fact that the pandemic was going on (still is) with all the lockdown and stuff, contributed a lot with the stress as well. And to occupy my time I started working out at home every day - doing push ups, pull ups, etc, and that as well contributed for the tinnitus to getting worse. The consequence of that was that my upper back and neck muscles became a lot rigid and my tinnitus got so loud that I I couldn't sleep at night.
At that point I was at my worst state and I knew it was time so seek for a tinnitus specialist (after going to 5 different doctors) and It was my best decision. I started doing physiotherapy to fix the back and neck muscles as well as taking sleeping pills to fix my sleep. Eventually the tinnitus got away but sometimes it comes back when I'm on a lot of stress, but nothing compared to what I had last year.
My main advice for all the people with tinnitus is to definitely identify the cause(s) first and then treat as effectively as possible. Seek for a doctor or If you need seek for a specialist like I did cause tinnitus can be caused by a lot of different things.
I hope this helps you gets through it :)

My tinnitus gets worse each year. At first it was just a distant hum. Then the hum would periodically get louder for a period of a few seconds. Then later that same few seconds included dizziness and vertigo. Now the hum is always as loud as that few second period and when it gets louder it's very loud. Two weeks ago I woke up and it was roaring like a train for half the day. This video was my only relief. Thank you so much for posting.
