Just imagine if Doc Rivers hadn't screwed the Tim Duncan to Orlando deal, and Grant Hill hadn't had injuries. That could've been one of the nastiest BIG 3s ever.

Great video as usual. Love the intro clip to help set up the context of 2002.

If T-Mac could’ve stayed healthy in his later years like Kobe or even lebron he definitely would’ve been one of the greatest. Watching him play whether you were a fan or not he was amazing to watch. Like you said Kobe and tmac went back and forth. Definitely a legend from my era

I say this all the time, we only sniffed the beginnings of a prime TMac. He was forever injured starting at age 27.
Some of the greats didn't win their first ring until after age 30 including KG, Dirk, and HAKEEM.
Kobe had a wayyyyy better career. But Hot Take? I'd take Tmac over Kobe skillswise over a 5 year stretch.

Bad luck (Orlando and Houston), injuries and subpar teams (Orlando). Houston was his best shot at a championship, but those teams just plain weren’t better than the spurs, mavs and suns out west. Toronto, he’d have been Scottie pippen to Vince’s Jordan.

Sadly it just comes to the great Achilles heel (pun intended) of sports, bodily injuries. Him and others like A. Sabonis (although politics was a major factor), B. Roy, G. Oden, Jay Williams, G. Hill, D. Rose, they all could've have GOAT or Legend potential but injuries robbed us of the future sadly.
