Years later Iverson met Jordan and he said how he loved Jordan and How Jordan was his inspiration and Jordan was like: "If you loved me, you wouldnt have crossed me like that" 😅

I had the privilege of seeing Iverson play a few times live. The time I remember the most was the 97-98 season. The Sixers were playing my Heat in the old Miami Arena. There are two reasons I remember that game so well.
    1. I had the best seat I'd ever had for an NBA game. Right under the basket ( a corporate perk at the time). I was standing RIGHT next to all the players, including A.I. I was amazed that he and I were about the same height , about 6'1. But his ARMS looked like they were 6 inches longer than mine! I'd never seen a guy my height with arms that long.
    2. He was on the opposite end of a Dan Majerle baseline miss. A.I. grabbed the rebound and in about 5 dribbles ( LIGHTENING FAST) , he was at the other end of the court making a layup , leaving EVERYBODY in the dust.
A.I. was one of the most jaw dropping players I have ever seen.

It's not a story from the video, this is a personal one. I was in 7th grade in Philly when Stackhouse got drafted, and so in my middle school lunch room my art club was doing a mural of him. A year later we drafted AI and we never finished the Stack mural because everyone wanted to do the AI one more. I love what AI met to my childhood. As a Kid in Philly we would see him everywhere and he always had time.

What makes Iverson scary in today's league is that for one, he would have shooters on his team all the way down to the center. Teams can't really double him because nowadays every one not ball dominant has to have a 3 ball. So u can't go 2-3 zone and double A.I on top of that like his era lol. That's going to make his efficiency go all the way up, just that alone he dropping 40 a game. Most of his shots was fading while doubled or going in the paint after getting past a double trying to layup over a shaq lol
No help in the paint and u gotta try to stop him 1v1 sheeshhhhhh

Hearing a man's peers, and particularly his competitors, speak about him with such reverance, says far more than any sports reporters ever could. AI caught a lot of flack for the whole "Practice" debacle, admittedly even I was disappointed in his behavior and the ensuing interview (I feel that stardom comes with a certain level of responsibility to the younger fans), but he still showed up on game night and played his absolute heart out. AI would be a monster in any era. When it comes to some people, no matter where you dropped them, they'd dominate the same way.
Iverson exploited being shorter and faster than everyone else. There are smaller players today in the NBA compared to when he played, so there'd be more players who'd be able to keep up with him better. Of course the game isn't as physical as it was then either, so Iverson wouldn't be so banged up from game to game either. I think he'd simply do what he did regardless of who was in front of him.

44 points a game......37 on a bad night......drop 50 at least 10 times throughout the season on about 10 different teams and he would probably play anywhere between 75 to all 82 games a year

Imagine a 6ft guard that attacked the paint relentlessly, knowing that guys like David Robinson, Hakeem Olojuwan, Patrick Ewing, and Shaquille O'Neil were waiting for him at the rim. He gave the Lakers 60 when Shaq was in his prime. Constant aggression and effort, every second of every game, and it was on both sides of the ball. He has all of the Sixers records for steals too.

A 6’6 A.I. and a thinner in shape dedicated Shaq are the 2 players I would love to see. Shaq in his early years crossed Jordan when they were practicing. Shaq had so much more potential had he stayed in shape and dedicated, he would hands down be known as the GOAT and Jordan and Kobe would be a far away 2nd and 3rd.
