A cooler way to have Jean overpower Quicksilver was to have a scene where Quicksilver beats her easily but then the scene rewinds back before he beats her showing that Jean was reading his mind the entire time and predicts his moves to beat him. Not this shit where she waves her arm faster than Quicksilver himself. Fuck.

She's heavily limiting herself by fighting w/ a team so even if she makes thunderstorms or hailstorms, she's more likely to hurt her allies than a singular enemy. though it would be kinda cool ig if she could significantly drop the temperature and like freeze ppl or whatever ig
A young Storm with little control of her ability.
1. Even though she used her weather powers it wouldn’t work because Jean already had the Dark Phoenix in her, which exceedingly overpowers them.
2. They are not fighting an offensive fight, is a defensive battle against their teammate which is having a mental breakdown. In this case why should Storm use a powerful attack against her (note that by this point they haven’t actually fought her, so they don’t know she is THAT powerful).
3. Professor X might have talked to them since Scott has feelings for Jean. Probably if Scott wasn’t there, maybe Charles would have used a more offensive approach since he felt the Dark Phoenix’s powers, but since Scott was there, he was respecting his loved one. Overall, he is a leader and cares even more about their emotions because he reads their minds and thoughts.

A story like The Pheonix Saga and Dark Pheonix can only be done justice in a movie with a 2 part epic, 2 and a half hours each.
They actually did one to make it a two-film story but Fox insisted one on film, they were convinced Sophie Turner would make it better than The Last Stand.
But......they promoted it with the "X-Women" scene.
They shouldn’t have made it in the first place, christ we were literally introduced with this new Jean one movie ago and they immediately jumped to dark Phoenix right after?🤦♂️

I am not sure about this, but i think that in the MCU, the Phoenix Force just doesn't exist, and to introduce it in the multiverse, we need the X-Men, as Scott is the reason why Jean succeeds in returning from the Dark Phoenix...

Missed opportunity to have Storm and Jean go at it or at least try to reason with her. Would’ve been cool if they copied their fight from the TAS, scene: Storm flies up and is face to face with Jean. Storm: “Jean I’m sorry, but I can’t let you hurt any more people.” Jean: sternly “Ororo”. Next Storm summons a cloud ☁️ of lightning 🌩 and three bolts hit Jean. Jean absorbs the bolts and throws back at Storm sending her flying down to ground.

The scene is badass, my only gripe is with Charles not being able to do so much more with the ability of mind control. I feel he´s underpowered in the same way Quicksilver is overpowered. But maybe I am missing something.

I’m sorry but I know for a fact Jean could not have taken QS out this quick. For one, The dude is a fast healer. Secondly, gene would have to be able to react faster then the speed of thought to take him out. She has never shown feats of moving or reacting that quick. In fact, in the comic speedsters are a weakness for her. She only can stop them using telepathy since it’s mental. He should of been moving faster than her hand was being waved.

This is such a forced unneccesary conflict. There is no reason for Jean to be THIS angry, at least based on the story they were telling. So a father disowns you because of your powers and because everyone decided it was better to tell you they were dead somehow they are no longer your friends. Also somehow the police show up at this exact moment and for the first and only time the sound of sirens is overwhelming. So Jean crushes the entire car instead of, oh I don't know, turning the sirens off. This is a classic case of absolute power corrupts absolutely.
It was just an excuse to make another film most likely!
Jean had PTSD. PTSD patient CAN get that angry when their emotions are suppressed for a very long time like Jean's was.

Fans: It’s all wrong, the costume was wrong, the split personality was wrong, no shiar and they barely called her Phoenix, no fire

The movie was meant to be a Jean/Phoenix origin story and the first part of a Dark Phoenix Saga trilogy. You have to make a movie about Jean becoming Phoenix before showing the Phoenix in action.

Hands down the best scene in the series
No matter how powerful storm is, we all know she ain't no match for Phoenix. But in this instant, where Jean isn't full on Phoneix and clearly doesn't kno the extent of her power or how to exactly control it or what's even goin on, she clearly doesn't want to fight her teammates, this was the time to show out storm to her potential but still end up losing by the end of it. There's no way storm should have been taken out so easily here by Jean at this point of the movie. She shoulda done more than just hurl puny lightning bolt from her hand cuz besides Jean.... storm is the 2nd most powerful on the team imo. As soon as Jean flung her backwards, storm shoulda stopped herself in a midflight then simultaneously started hurling lighting at her from the skies and her hands with one of the lightning bolt from the sky striking her, but she blocks the ones from her hands and as she starts flying towards her, she uses her winds as tk and picks up the cop cars tht Jean smashed and started hurling them at her, while calling down hail sickles, lightning and strong ass winds to bash her (she's known for doing multiple things at once), and as she unleashes so much power, we can clearly see tht Jean is some what surprised by the force behind storms attacks and while she's holding storms attacks back, we here her yell in a panic/struggling voice "STOP!" & as soon as she says tht, storm ups the power level on her attacks even more to try and get thru jeans tk cuz she sees her some what struggling. Even tho Jean is suprised by how powerful storm is.... the look we see on her face is the look of her trying to stay in control of her power caused by the attacks storm is throwing at her. Then we here Jean yell "STORM!". Then In a shaky/scared whisper to herself she says "I... I can't control it" and when she says tht, Jean screams unleashing an attack knocking storm clear the fuck out the sky and knocking everybody else down too, including like 2 or 3 houses being demolished...... and tht attack made Jean also fall to the ground from releasing so much power, thus making the surrounding chill for a moment. At tht moment, thats when Mystique should have taken her opportunity to talk to Jean, thus making Jean accidentally killing her. tht way it wouldn't of been completely bullshit and still would have been believable & We still could have saw what storm was capable of while still seeing her lose, like she clearly should. Just my 2 cents... I know everyone has different visions on things but seriously..... they turned storm into a chump in these movies smh I mean even in DOFP, she was the first to die and they were spose to be at the height of their powers and they barely had them put up decent fights..... I get the sentinels could adapt and shit but no way storm woulda been the first to die out of all the characters smh even in this movie they made storm get choked out by a guy whose power is moving his hair smh like come on, seriously lol
