Dude I relate to that last part so much. I’m ace, 100%. But I have no idea where I stand on the romance side of things. It’s a bit harder to figure when you’ve never had a partner in your 19 years of living haha. Like I’m not *opposed* to having a partner, but I’ve never actively looked for a relationship either. To be honest, I just don’t think about it too much. When I get into a relationship for the first time, whenever that will be, I’ll find out. There’s no rush. I’m just trying to focus on college at the moment

Ooooo! Some great symbolism here with the colours of red being mostly attributed to romance and love. Showing that everyone has it shows that they love the people they are with in a romantic and almost non-asexual way - if you know. That's pretty neat. Also, how her flowers are only growing yellow, which is mainly supposed to symbolize happiness, joy, and delight, shows that she is actually just happy on her own and consequently, not looking for love in that way like everyone else! damn that's so cool ❤

Another thing about the roses being yellow, that comes to my mind is that yellow on aroace flag represents love and relationships that exist outside of conventional ideas of romantic and sexual relationships, which also fits really well with the themes of the song!

Having a different-colored rose is such an adorable way to describe being aro. It's still a flower; you can still present it to someone or wear it as an accent, but it's not the same. It doesn't work with the same outfits or match everyone's tastes. Absolutely wonderful. I love my yellow roses too.

Ahhh!!! Its so nice to see aro's included in talks of love. The abscenece of romantic feelings doesnt mean we don't have a relationship woth the idea of love. It may be alien to me but i think about it constantly, whether i want to or not. This is beautiful. I love the decision to make the Cupid’s flower a different-colored rose instead of a different flower altogether. Platonic love can be just as powerful as romantic love. They’re different versions of the same experience

I don't think I'm outright aro, but not allo either, I'm somewhere on the spectrum, but most aro-themed (or adjacent) songs tend to not give me space to relate as someone who is pretty sure is capable of falling in love and would like to someday. Eventually.
That little part makes me relate so much more and I appreciate it a lot.
I love the symbolism, since red roses are seen as romantic and yellow roses are seen as friendship.
It also fits into my belief that Valentines Day isn’t just about romance, but showing your appreciation to your friends aswell! :D

I am a bit of a plant nerd and I've looked up different meanings of flowers and colors

A long time ago i made a swear, a pact some may call it since it was done with multiple people. 3 of us swore to stay single forever. Since it was YEARS ago and we were kids, we were stupid and didn’t really have a reason. But living with the mindset of not looking for anybody has given me reasons to keep to my promise. Im happy on my own, i don’t feel the need to have somebody else in my life to make me happy. I hope this doesn’t sound narcissistic, but maybe it is, i love myself and i feel like if i let anyone into my life that personally it would interrupt my happiness. It sounds like a cringy line from a movie, but i like myself just the way i am and falling in love would change that.
